The 8 valve version needs the 3 screws to be removed from the lid to access the air filter.
The instructions for the 16v are more complicated and are here

Where is the cab air filter on a 2000 astro van?
it is half way down the drivers side of th van, i think.
Take out the center counsil first, look for screws, and work your way up to the dashboard.
Alternate Answer
I have recently replaced the gauges in my 92 probe, did not remove the center console. first i removed the steering wheel (with a bolt puller, take the horn pad off first by removing the 2 screws on the back of the steering wheel) then i just removed the paneling around the steering collumn, then remove the instrument cluster paneling (looks like two pieces, but its not, there's a rubber gasket that holds them together so take them off in one piece, make sure to remove the black paneling that is right in front of the gauges) now when you remove the gauge cluster, make sure to be very carefull with the wiring and speedometer cable on the back of the panel, just press the the white slot release that covers the end of the cable, should come out very easily. then take the 4 retaining screws out that secure the instrument cluster (gauges) to the dashboard. Now when i did this i ran into a problem, i was not aware that the oil, gas, and water gauges would need to be in the same stop (either mark them or take a picture, make sure the negative terminal of the battery is removed first) here's what I've found if you run into this same problem, the result is that those three gauges will just point at 6:00 if it were a clock.
here's another answer, with the proper way of keeping the gauges working. How do you remove the instrument cluster of a 94 Ford Probe to install glow gauges? In: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/FAQ/582[How_do_you_remove_the_instrument_cluster_of_a_94_Ford_Probe_to_install_glow_gauges]
Answerfirst you should disconnect the negative battery cable if you have an air bag equipped probe. wait for two minutes, then on your dash, there are some dash retainer screws which need to be removed, there should be 2 abouve the cluster on the trim piece, and some have 1-3 underneath the steering column. after that, remove the 4 screws holding the gauge in, pull it out, then remove the wiring harness, not the wires from the harness. then take the cluster to a well lit are and remove the screws holding the plastic cover on. if you have screws holding the gauges in place, remove those as well. you may need to remove the needles to get the gauges to fit if you cant slip them over the needles, as for the tachometer needle, temp needle, oil needle and battery needle, you need to either draw a picture of where they are or take a picture of them to place them back later. if you have to remove the needles, only replace the speedometer to 0, and the fuel gauge meter to where it last was when you had the car turned on. after you have the new gauges on, put as much back together as possible, and take the cluster back to the car with the pastic cover off. hook the wiring harnesses up to the cluster and hook the negative cable back to the battery. turn on your car and wait about a minute or so, then replace all other needles to the position where they were when you took the picture of them. turn off the car and remove the negative battery cable, wait another two minutes. hook up the wiring to your parking lights as this is the best place to draw power. and hook the ground to a secured ground suck as the fender or something metal on the body/chassis. replace the plastic cover and replace the cluster in the dash. attach all screws to reassemble the dash. finito. Good luck.Source of this reference is : How do you remove the instrument cluster of a 94 Ford Probe to install glow gauges
Hope this helps and good luck!

How change cabin filter vw polo 1.4?
On the 1.6 1998 Classic the pollen/cabin filter is under the piece of black plastic just near the windscreen on the passenger side. Theres a black rubber strip to remove first of all holding the black plastic in place. It runs the width of the engine bay up where the washer nozzles would be if the bonnet was down. Lift up the plastic and theres a square filter. Pull it out and replace it.
I cant imagine the 1.4 is any different.
You will need to replace the intire intake Gasket if you are SURE it is leaking were the gasket goes. On most of those engines it will be a BAD intake and ford redesigned the intake manifold. But it sounds like it has already been replaced scents it has got the alum. crossover bar.
You need to look real close at the gaskets.

How do you remove the air box from a 1987 Honda CBR1000F Hurricane?
First you must remove the seat, fuel tank and if your bike has side fairings it is best to remove them; to get to the airbox. There should be 2 bolts (usually 10mm or 12mm), one on either side of the airbox that bolts it to the frame, remove these. Now you will need to get a long Phillips screwdriver and loosen the clamps that hold the airbox "tubes" (on the bottom) to the carbs. After that it should just pull right off.

How do you replace the air filter on the 1997 Chrysler town and country?
This one's only slightly tricky. Under the hood, find the black plastic box that says "remove to replace air filter". Remove the two bolts and three hoses attached to it, and pull it out.
There's a hose under it that goes down to another black box. On the backside of this box are two spring clips. Pop those open carefully and open the cover; inside you'll find your air filter.
Where is the air filter located on the 2003 Toyota RAV4?
It depends on which air filter you are refering to. Since the engine air filter is pretty straight-forward I'll assume you're talking about the cabin air filter. I have a 2005 and assume it's the same for your 2003 so try looking behind the glove compartment. You should be able to get behind it by opening it and gently bending the plastic part that catches when it is all the way open so that it passes the catch. It will then swing the rest of the way down (you may want to remove the contents first) so that you can access the door to the filter.
Where is the blower motor resistor on an 1999 Olds Intrigue?
The blower motor resistor pack is located between the fireewall and the blower motor on the passenger side. The best way to access this part its to remove the plastic shield under the glove box and then remove the blower motor. Behind the blower motor you will see another wire harness that will be 5-6 wires. This is the connector for the resistor pack. The are 2 screws that hold the resistor pack to the blower motor housing.
I found there to be 3 screws on mine. There is a piece of carpet under glove box that can be removed with taking out 3 plastic snap buttons. I didnt remove the blower. I took out the 2 screws on the sides of the resistor that you can see. You cant see the forward screw. Once the 2 side screws are removed, pry down carefully on the resistor and pull it out with some long needle nose pliers. The back screw hole is slotted, so you can do this. it doesnt come out real easy but it does work. Now that you can see the forward screw with the resistor removed you need to back it out about a turn. All the screws are 7/32's. Now carefully slide the new one in carefully into the forward screw slot. Install the other 2 screws. Also you should have removed the wire plug first thing and the plug from the resistor to the blower fan. Now reconnect them last. This whole job is very difficult because you are lying on the front floor in front of seat trying to get 2 arms in there. I am small. Sorry for you big guys.
