One can have two captain's chairs in the second row allowing access through the middle. Or one can get a bench seat, which folds up to access row three. The bench seats three (or three bulky convertible infant/child seats. The seats are interchangeable. WHen I contacted the dealer back in '04 he told me they were not interchangeable (as did Buick), but that is simply not true. I went to the dealer "test drove" a Rondy home with a bench seat & proved to myself they could be easily switched with my captain's chairs. I now have both seats, but am selling the bench on EBay as we got a larger SUV & hub is driving the Rondy. lymbo4y@yahoo.com

Go to Crutchfield.com and use the outfit my vehicle feature, if there is an interface available to adapt the steering wheel controls it would be there, also if you buy the head unit there the wiring harness adapter and dash kit are free so no cutting into the factory wiring. If it is too confusing use the phone number for a consultant and they will find what you need.

first disconnect the battery. you will have to remove the fuse box on top of the window washing reservoir, one bolt, unsnap the wire holding clamps then set it to your right to get access for everything else.Then remove the wiper arms .then lift the snap clips and lift the plastic cover to get to the two bolts that are for the wipers then drop and move forward,you have to do that to get the bottle out. to remove the window cleaning bottle,then the alternator can be removed from the side of the engine the window cleaner reservoir has to be taken out to make room for the alternator. Size of bolts are 15mm for the alternator two in back of the alternator very close to firewall, So you can't use a socket..10mm and 15mm for the crossbar above battery. That has to be removed to remove battery. 10mm for the one bolt for the fuse\relay box on sidewall.10mm for window cleaner bottle 3 of them. remove the fluid hose and electrical plugs off the bottle and remove the window cleaning bottle.the belt tensioner is a 3\8 drive not 1\2 inch I used a ratchet. put on a new belt before you put back together. Cause you don't want to do this again. first time took me a few hours, But now I know probably take about forty minutes now.

Based on adjusting my 1998 UK model Rav4 On the rear of the headlight are two 'bolt heads which are 10mm in size. One is lower down and near the wing. This adjusts the lights for left / right movement. Central, and higher up on the light is a second one. IF you have dippable headlights controlled by using a rolling switch on the dashboard the controller is also here, and the manual adjustment bolt comes our from the back of it, otherwise it is just an adjustment bolt. Turning the bolt clockwise raised the light, anticlockwise lowers it. BE CAREFULL not to adjust too much, as if you have the auto adjuster, it can force the bolt & auto adjuster apart (done it myself !)

What engine size? ------------------------------------------ How to Change Spark Plugs on 4.6 & 5.4 Liter By Dave West I've replaced plugs on quite a few 5.4Ls now (the 4.6L with plug wires is similar) and once you've done a set they really are not as bad as they look. Contrary to what some people will say, you don't have to remove the fuel rails. The Coil on Plug (COP) assemblies will come out past the fuel rail. I take an old piece of seat foam and put it on top of the radiator support to the engine to allow me to lay on it without hurting my tummy. It makes the job way less painful. Start by removing the cover over the throttle body (the black plastic cover that says "5.4" on it). There are three 10mm head bolts that hold it on. Next remove the air intake tube from the throttle body to the air filter housing. You loosen the hose clamps at either end of it; disconnect the connector on the AT (about half way up the air intake hose), the pull out the small hoses that go into the air intake tube near the throttle body. Next remove the brace from the power steering reservoir to thermostat housing. There are three 8mm or 5/16" head screws that hold it on. Now you should be able to see the COPs. To remove the COPs you can use a 7mm or 9/32" wrench or nut driver or socket, extension and ratchet or all of the above. If you turn the fuel injectors to the side it will give you more room to work with the COPs. Unplug the connector on each COP by pressing the tab in and pulling on the connector. After you're done that just twist and pull the COPs out. A couple of the COPs on the driver's side and #4 on the passenger's side are a bit hard to get at but with some patience they will come out. After you've removed the COPs take a blow gun and blow out the spark plug holes. Don't be surprised if there is rust and junk in them. Next you can actually remove the plugs. Use a combination of extensions, swivels (universal joints), sockets and ratchets to get at them. Whatever works best for you is good. On the harder ones to get at I usually use a socket with a 4" extension, then a swivel, then a long extension, then the ratchet. The plugs are way down in the hole which is why I use the extension then the swivel. The swivel makes it easier to clear the firewall. Set the gap on the new plugs to whatever it says on your emissions decal on the radiator support....usually .052-.056". Apply a small amount of anti-seize to the threads only on the spark plug. You can use a piece of vacuum hose or fuel hose over the end of the plug to get it started in the hole. Carefully start the plugs in their holes. If you can't get them most of the way in by hand with the hose take a look and see why not. Cross threaded plug threads are no fun! The plugs are to be tightened to 13 lb-ft. which is just hand tight with a short ratchet. Don't over tighten them! The threads in the aluminum heads have enough problems as it is. After that just put everything back together in reverse order. Apply some dielectric grease to the plug boots as well to help seal them. I've done enough of these that I can replace the plugs in approximately 45 minutes but don't be surprised if the first time you do it takes a few hours.

You have to remove the part of the exhaust manifold that wraps around the driver's side of the engine, which is no easy task! The thermostat housing is behind that manifold. There is a small cast iron pipe leading out toward the radiator with a radiator hose attached to it. Follow that iron pipe in toward the engine, and you will see where to remove the two bolts to get to the thermostat. The designers did not think about the auto owner on this one.

You first need to loosen the plastic lug nut covers until they are no longer attached to the wheels lug nuts under the cover. After all five plastic lug nut covers are loosened completely from the lug nuts, you can gently pop the cover from the wheel. If the plastic lug nut covers have been damaged so they are not removable, you will need to get some needle nose pliers and basically break off the plastic lug nut covers. (The plastic lug nut covers keep the wheel cover attached to the wheel. The plastic lug nut covers snap into the wheel cover.) And then the game is on----finding replacement plastic lug nut covers and/or wheel covers......speaking from experience!!!

It can be hard but easy at the same time. # remove screw and door handle trim # remove red reflector lense with a small screw driver it clips in # remove bolt from behind red reflector # remove bolt from door pull handle # Pull door panel off door # unhook wire harnesses tweeter, power door switch, power window switch. The door panel is held on with clips that snap in it can be a pain in the but to get these off be careful pulling on the door pocket it can break. i just cautiously yanked on it and it popped off start in one corner and work from there the tweeter houseing is part of the door frame FYI Hope this helps

to change the distributer cap on a 5.7 you have to remove the radiator fans, balancer pulley, drain the coolant and then remove the water pump. the cap is directly behind the pump. it is recomened you buy a new water pump at the same time. you dont want to spend all the time replacing the cap and have the pump leak into it when your done. CHAOS :)...............The prblem with BCMs is they control everything electrical in the car. so if they go bad they make the car act possess. it can be lights staying on, rear hatch opening for no reason, alarm going off, windows refusing to work then start working. I havent had any problems with my BCM knock on wood but ive hear the horrors stories. if you car does start acting odd one thing to try is to reset the computer. disconnect your battery for 5 minutes and connect it back this reboots the BCM and solves the problem but a bad BCM they will just keep coming back. The BCM can only be replaced by the dealer unless your mechanic has the Tech 2000 but porolly not since they are thousands of dollars, they have to be new. BCMs cant be reprogrammed once they are programmed. im not sure bout the options but the vin is programmed in and cant be changed, and i hear they can run 4-800 dollars for the repair. Generator Replacement

Removal Procedure:

-Remove the battery ground (negative) cable from the battery. -Rotate and secure the engine forward to access rear generator bolts. -Remove the generator B+ terminal nut. -Remove the generator B+ lead. -Remove the generator electrical connector. -Remove the drive belt from the generator. -Remove the generator front bolt. -Remove the generator rear bolts. -Remove the generator from the generator bracket and position the generator above the drive axle. -Remove the drive belt tensioner. -Remove the generator bracket. -Remove the power steering pipes from the power steering pipe retainer. -Remove the fuel pressure test port (schrader valve) cap from the fuel injector rail. "Important" Do not disconnect the power steering pipes from the power steering pump. -Remove the power steering pump and reposition the power steering pump in front of the timing chain cover in order to provide access for the generator. -Remove electrical harness from retainer on right fender well and position aside. -Remove the generator from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

-Install the generator to the vehicle and position the generator above the drive axle. -Install electrical harness to retainer on right fender well. -Install the power steering pump to the engine. -Install the fuel pressure test port (schrader valve) cap to the fuel injector rail. -Install the power steering pipes from the power steering pipe retainer. -Install the generator bracket. Refer to Generator Bracket Replacement . -Install the drive belt tensioner.. -Install the generator to the generator bracket and position the generator above the drive axle. -Install the drive belt tensioner. -Install the generator to the generator bracket. -Install the generator front bolt. *Notice* Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems. -Install the generator rear bolts. Tighten Tighten the generator bolts to 50 N�m (37 lb ft). -Install the drive belt. -Install the generator electrical connector. -Install the generator B+ lead. -Install the generator B+ terminal nut. Tighten -Tighten the generator B+ terminal nut to 13 N�m (115 lb in). -Rotate the engine rearward and install the engine mount strut bracket bolts -Install the battery ground (negative) cable to the battery.

BBAASPENCER here in TN. This is how to roll it forward for access.Roll the engine forward is to take off the engine dog bones, put gear in neutral, attach a pulling strap to the engine and hoist and roll it until you gain access.

i have a 95 tracer and i hear the beeping, but i don't know how to stop it i just try to ignore it

Perserverence paid off. 1. Raise Headrest 2. Unscrew 2 plastic retainer collars 3. Push down on cushion where guide post enter seat back and look for hairpin clips. (They are thin and difficult to see) Remove hairpin clips from each guide post and pull headrest up and out. A long thin needle nose pliers worked for me.

In one case: The charger, purchased from Radio Shack, was to blame. There is nothing wrong with the car's electrical system. This appears to be a common problem; Experienced this with several devices connected to the outlet. the fuse for the power outlets is located under the hood.

The alarm system can be disabled by unplugging the brain. The brain must first be located. It is recommended this be done by a professional as incorrectly disarming a anti-theft unit will lead to a car that will not be able to be started.

The low tire pressure is reset through the radio Turn on the ignition to the point where the lights on the dash are on but the engine is not running. Then pull out the light switch until the parking lights come on. Then press in until they go off. Do this three times and you will hear beeps in rapid sequence. Then the pressure light will go off.
