Bearing noise is usually deeper and comes from farther down in the engine. Lifter noise is more of a ticking and is up in the engine heads.

Check and see if any lights have been left on. If they have then you ran down the battery! You know it is the battery. Has the alternator light been on? If so, you should have taken it in before this!

Usually it is the battery. That is the first thing to check. If you have jumper cables, it is usually easy to get a jump and see if you can get the car started that way. If you can, then, if you did not leave your lights on, you want to go and get the problem fixed.

The next thing that it might be is the starter relay. I can manually trip a starter relay but you can't. If you can not get it started with jumper cables, you need to call someone to fix it for you. Sometimes it is a module. Sometimes I can replace a part in 2 minutes it would take you all day to find.

i am sure the sound you are hearing is the half shafts (cv shafts) they are easy to replace. i would get it replaced asap. you dont want them to actually fall apart while you are driving.

you may have a rod knocking and you need to take it to a shop asap

most likely cause will be a vacuum leak at the carby or inlet manifold gasket. it will need a new gasket. hope you find a reputable mechanic, it shouldn't cost more than $100 if it is the manifold gasket but the carby gasket could become very expensive.a secondhand carby would be the cheaper option.

answer don't go for second hand carb, u may have same problem. make sure choke and choke operating diaphragm is working correctly

there could be a couple answers. first have the valves checked they may need to be tighten down if that is not the issue you may have an engine getting ready to blow

manifold or downpipe gaskets may be leaking gases or worse, cracked manifold

My car was making a noise, although I would describe it as more of a "hissing" sound, from the heater/AC control panel. It turns out to be the heater control assembly that was bad. I was told another possibility when you hear that noise is the water control valve.

sounds like a system with vacuum controls( found in higher price/luxury vehicles ) for changing settings...def.,floor/heat,vent,etc. a cracked hose-or a hose that has popped off of the 'nipple' it fits on. does it change when you change 'mode-heat,def.,etc? also, there is a ' manifold ' where all the air tubes are joined and feed vacuum to move doors,etc. for heat-def. etc... somewhere under dash-passenger side-or near center that can leak at main vacuum feed. it looks like an cow's udder-clear plastic air lines connect there and go to respective controls for heat, def.,vent,etc. move the hoses a bit- with car runnuing-listen for change in volume of 'hissing'. of course-this problem could be at the control valve in the dash where you make the desired changes for heat,def., etc. the control valve is expensive- i have bought/sold vehicles for 40 years. i am a supporter of 'junk yards '...er,auto recycling businesses. they will pull the part-now you need to find an installer- this is a bit complicated,based on vehicle and location of hissing problem.finally...do all of the options for heat,def., etc. operate correctly-try runniong the system "thru the paces" a few times and listem for changes,location-as i said before-good luck...

Tires that squeak can be caused by a slipped belt. It can also be an alignment problem or just normal turning for the vehicle. It's difficult to help with this problem without hearing the sound. *Make sure it's not in 4wheel drive when it's not needed.

Sounds like cv joint. Does it pop when turning?

Could be the brakes are gone or it could be a hub and bearing assembly about to fall off the front of your car.

You will need to change it out. The bearing is failing.

there are many possibilities for noises such as these. you have to think to yourself what changes with temperature because that is what happens when the car WARMS up. so you could have a belt squeal or the wrong weight of oil causing improper lubrication at lower temperatures or low oil or even the bearings in one of the accessory drives such as the alternator, a c, or power steering units could make more noise when cold and less when they warm up. you must investigate and give further details for a proper answer.

Check the fan clutch. It could be worn and allowing the blades to hit the comling or the radiator grill. Same with all the belts and tightener rollers. One could have a bad bearing.

Sounds Like You Have a Bad Universal Joint In The Drive Shaft.

Also somewhere in the drive trane there is a lack of Grease. Have

it serviced and greased, but first have the universal joints checked

and replaced if they are bad. Also check all Steering parts, and replaced
