Disconnect the battery for about five minutes and that should reset the check engine light. Or, pull the 80 amp fuses in the small plastic compartment on top of the battery for about the same time.

Really have to know what year the car is because these problems vary from year to year.

I just read in another question, you can go to Auto Zone, they will hook it up to their machine and print out what could be wrong, they will reset it, and you are good to go. Liz

Code P0135 means upstream oxygen sensor heater circuit problem right cylinder bank. Did you clear code after replacing the oxygen sensor?

I have a 99 Hyundai Sonata That the check engine light came on, and # 3 & 5 Injectors were fouled

The way, I took care of this problem on my 98 Ford Expedition XLT. Was I bought 2 big bottles of Fuel Injector Cleaner? I did it for the next two fill up's and what it did was clean all 4 Oxygen sensors. Problems fix the easy and cheapest way too... Oxygen Sensor There are actually (4) O2 sensors on your truck. IF you look inside the wheel wells behind the fender liner, right about where the frame is one O2 sensor, the other is underneath the truck about half way back in relation to the transmission. IF you see where the exhaust joints together, you went about 6" too far.

When you start looking at the O2 sensors, they are normally numbered something like "Bank 1 Sensor 1" Bank 1 is on the passenger side; Bank 2 is on the driver's side. Sensor 1 is the upstream sensor (near the frame, between the block and the cat) and Sensor 2 is near the Y-pipe (downstream of the cat).

You shouldn't really reset it until you know why the light is on. You can find this out by going to any place that will do OBD2(1996 and newer) or a OBD1(1995 or older) test. That test can clear it. Or there is always the non-recommended way too. that would be to disconnect the negative battery cable for 15+ minutes. doing this you will lose all of your radio presets and time in the vehicle.

The sensor light, in the guage cluster, lights up when the Oxygen (O2) Sensor is faulty or bad. It needs to be changed. It is located on the Exhaust manifold on the driver's side of the engine. It's a one wire sensor. Pretty easy to change. If you replace the o2 sensor it will not make the light go off. There are to plug ins in under the dash in the upper right corner.(above the the hood pop lever) One plug in will be yellow and white the other yellow and black. One represents 50,000 miles and the other 100,000 miles. If the truck is over the mileage the indicator will come on. This was so the owner would bring the vehicle in for inspection. Just unplug whatever one is still plugged in and the sensor light will go off.

P0743 is for a open or shorted circuit. It means either a it is not grounded or that a wire has broken or something has come unplugged. It is most likely underneath the car. Check the wires around the trannsmission make sure they are all connected. I hope that this helps you.

Check coolant level in RADIATOR when cold When light is blinking turn on heat and see if you have any. If no heat good indication that thermostat is stuck in closed position and needs to be replaced

Put a new egr electrical position sensor on and a new coolant temp sensor and fill the radiator with coolant. This will fix all but the check engine lite.

Have it checked for codes, it will probably have to do with the fuel level sensor in the fuel tank.

I am not too familiar with the 1996 Concorde, but most of the newer vehicles turn on the interior lighting when the ignition is turned off. This is to allow you to see inside the car before exiting without having to turn any lights on. They should turn off after about 40-50 seconds, or when the doors are locked and the alarm is activated.

First make sure your gas cap is on tight. If you start your car a couple times after that & the light does not go out. It is most likely an emission problem. or sensor or something of that nature. Note that most emmission warranties on most cars are good for about 7-8 years or 80,000 miles. If the light is FLASHING First check all your fluids, oil, trans. if automatic, anti freeze.On some cars even check the brake fluid. All of which should be checked on a regular basis any way. If all fluids are fine & the light is FLASHING, get your car to a trusted mechanic A.S.A.P.!!!!!!!!!!!

Check for rust around your gas cap intake. use steel wool to get rid of the rust and improve the seal. This usually gets rid of the EVCAP code.

you can do that by adding a o2 simulator to the 02 sensor just go to www.fbodymotorsports.com or www.hawksthirdgen.com and they have the sensor simulator They are called O2 SIMULATERS try a search, or just edit/tune out the code.
