Why on a 1999 Chevy Astro van does the ac work out of vents only comes out at defrost?
There are two questions. First, MAX AC makes the air colder, usually by recycling the cooled air already in the vehicle. Normal AC pulls fresh air from outside the vehicle into the interior. Second, if your vehicle has an electronic control for the environmentals, you may have a bad control module (inside the section where the knobs are mounted) or the vacuum line may be damaged. Check to see if you can control where the air blows from when using other temperature controls. If you have full control except when you use the MAX AC setting it is more likely the electronic control module is bad.

What is the largest tire size for 03 Chevy astro van?
I have ran 275/60/15 on ours all the way around. Front would rub if you hit a hard bump while turning to the fullest extent. I favored the 255/60/15 the best.
How do you set the clock time on a 2003 astro van?
Press and hold the set button until the clock appears, then adjust the time using the scan buttons.
sound is created by sound waves due to friction. soundwaves are just waves until an eardrun , etc receives it. sound is also created by air particles. so if there was no air then no sound
I had this problem on my 2000. I lubed all the fittings, especially upper and lower ball joints and the noise went away. Chevy wants you to lube every oil change. If you still hear the noise you'll have to replace. Check the Anti-Sway Bar bushings and where they attach to the A-Arm.
What makes a check engine light come on in an Oldsmobile Intrigue?
to many things to count, if it still runs fine it is usually something like an egr sensor or o2 sensor, it could be any bad sensor or any other electrical problem, the only real way to find out is to check it with a code reader or scan tool, most parts stores will check it for free and then try and sell you the part, a shop will charge a fortune just to look at it
If the bike currently stalls once it gets hot this should help.
Assuming your turning the choke off chances are you have a problem with your carb, specifically the choke. Good way to check is remove the spark plug and see if its clean. If you see black soot all over it your getting too rich a mixture and that's likely a carb fault. If so take it off, inspect the choke mech is working properly, make sure when you turn it off its actually all the way off within the carb. Since it off check nothing else is plugged and clean it. reinstall, start with choke on, bring up to temp and start again without choke
THis fixed my son's xr80 with the same issue.
Good Luck
also i would check your ring because i have had the same problem you ring gets hot and it looses its spring and doesnt have enough compression to start
94 lhs won't start getting no spark you'll change the core pack what can you look for?
i had same problem on my 94 changed the crank and cam sensor then it was fine
I had the same problem. It was the upper control arm bushings. They got worn and slapped back and forth when I hit the brakes.
How do you replace the 3 HVAC control switches on a 1974 Dodge B300 1 ton van?
Go to the Library and read about it. Because of the vintage of the van, you would be better off trying to repair the climate controller, than trying to replace it. The only place you will be able to find another one is at a salvage yard. And they will want a heavy sum for it.
The cylinder head has to be removed and the head gasket replaced. This is not an easy job for the do it your selfer. There are several special tools required and when the engine is apart, there are several areas that have to be checked for exact tolerances and torque settings, otherwise the new head gasket will blow. I would suggest you have a mechanic do the work.
Can a rusted flywheel cause the engine not to turn over?
No, a rusted flywheel will not cause the engine not to turn over.
Do starter locks thicken up when they become dreadlocks?
It depends how you've had them done, and how you're maintaining it.
If you're using chemicals and wires to maintain your dreads, or do an excessive amount of palm rolling at the base, then they will never thicken up much. By forcing them into a specific compact shape, the dread just won't have the capacity to absorb all the hairs that normally fall out. These dreads will grow faster but will always be as thin as they were originally made to be.
If you're not forcing the dread into a compact shape at its base, then yes it will grow thicker. A dread does this by absorbing every hair in the area, including the ones that that normally fall out of your head. Remember the average human head loses 50-100 hairs a day!
Those dreads will grow slower, but thicker. Over time some dreads will merge together. You can fix this by ripping them apart if you want.
Does the 1999 Chevy Astro van have a voltage regulator?
I believe it is integral to the alternator... i.e. if the voltage regulator dies you need to buy a new alternator
Where is tire jack stored on Astro van?
depending on the year of the van I imagine that the area would differ but I have a 1993 astro and the jack is at the back so if you open the back passenger door it should be right there you unscrew a knob and it will let you remove the panel and the jack and all the other stuff should be in there hope this helps
Can you put freon in a 1997 GMC safari van?

How do you fix the fuel gauge on a 1982 Ford pickup 300 v6 Engine?
according to my Chilton repair manual, the spark plug firing order for a 1979 Ford 302 V8 is ( 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 )
Astro's power steering and power brakes run off the same hydraulic system. The hydraulic pump was probably damaged when you "fell" into the ditch. A hard turn can cause damage. Both systems go out at the same time. Steering and braking are not impossible without the hydraulics, but extremely difficult. Safest bet would be a tow to the mechanic who will probably replace the pump. $400 - $500.
Where is the starter located on 1994 ford e 150 conversion van?
on the underside of the engine , next to the oil pan bolted to the transmission bellhousing.
Fuel vapor canister location 1997 astro van?
It is located under the vehicle approximately 2 feet inside from the fuel filler, right next to the inline fuel filter. It is a small black box with an electrical connector and a tube running into it. One of the best kept secrets that cause a lot of trouble. Check that before the fuel pump which has a rip-off repair bill.
MyTurns signal and brake lights not working?
NO Brake Lights or Turn Signals
Because neither brake light nor turn signals work, it is unlikely that it's due to burnout of all of the bulb filaments at the same time.
Without doing a "hands on troubleshooting" of the circuits involved no one can tell you what specific defect is causing the problem.
However, here are some of the possible causes you need to check for:
There are probably a few more that I can't think of now. Good luck!
What cause the all wheel drive light going on and off?
If your talking about it turning on while you are driving, this is normal. All wheel drive is basically 4-wheel drive that only turns on when you need it to. This happens automatically, and that's why your seeing the light turn on and off
What type of gear oil is used in 2002 Chevy s10 pickup?
engine probably 10-30. tranny if auto matic. probably dot 3 type. manual 70-9-weight gear oil. some tranny use brake fluid in the tranny if the system is a hydralic clutch. hope it helps. duboff
Be careful; don't put brake fluid in the trannie....
Gm Synchromesh is preferred but many say that the Pennzoil synchromesh is the same formulation and it's much cheaper. The spec is for 80W90 GL-5 oil. No brake fluid in the trannie but use it in the clutch hydraulics.
