The easiest way is to pick up a harness extension. I bought mine from the dealer I got the brake controler from. Dealer may have also. Watch out if yours is an 03 as they changed the wiring mid year and you may have to switch a couple of wires. The Avalanche forum has more on this.

The 2006 Ford Escape takes a 20" drivers side, 18" passenger side and a fairly specialized 10" rear wiper that is difficult to find in the stores. Since there are currently over 22 different wiper arm attachments, do not buy wipers just by length only - be sure to lookup exact wiper blade part numbers by vehicle make, model and year for the brand wiper you decide to purchase. My mom's 1998 Ford Explorer (4 door 4WD XLT with a V6) just had the "Check Engine" light come on (it's shifting/running REALLY rough) - and when I took it up to AutoZone (they'll hook their code scanner up to your car and figure out why the "Check Engine" light is on for free). They scanned it and got the same P1715 error code - and their computer system said that this code means "Mechanical or hydraulic failure of the shift solenoid"...and that the "Probable Cause" is either "low or dirty automatic transmission fluid". I went and checked her fluid level...and sure enough - it was just about 1 full quart low. So I topped it off...and it's now sitting outside with the negative battery cable disconnected (to clear the "Check Engine" code). I'll run it again in a bit and see how she fairs.

Unfortunately, by the time a transmission problem shows up in the ECM, there is major damage. Be prepared to spend money on an overhaul.

Just tighten them up pretty hard. Even the factory doesn't pay attention to a torque spec here.

The BCM is located at the driver side glove box area under the dash on your Ford Escape.

You can use ANY size rim made with the same lug patteren. However ofcoures the larger the rim the smaller the tire. Most if not all tire dealers can tell you the combinations Tire/rim that will fit.

Not a repairable piece. Replaceable yes. U can also get one from a junk yard. Clean it first and if issues still arise replace it.

If it is burning oil, and smoking very badly (blue smoke) then the oil control rings/cylinders are shot- and the engine would have to be rebuilt or replaced. Mild puffs of blue smoke after standing and taking off like from a traffic light would indicate possible valve seal/guides that are worn out. A plugged PCV system can also cause problems as well as having too much oil in the crankcase.

have your drl (day time running light mogule) checked...it can be unplugged, but then you may not have any lights at all on some vehicles.

It probably can't read the CD. If it is all your CDs, you need to clean the laser with a cleaner CD. If it still won't work, you probably need a new player. cincinnati boy says: i had the same problem. disconnect your negative battery terminal for 20 minutes or so and reconnect. This should reset your system (including the radio). It solved my issue.

if the body is in good condition id say yes. check your wheel bearings and control arms as well that could get expensive pretty quick.

You don't. They are there to provide visibility to others. They werre engineered in and the electrical system can handle the load. If you just want to disable the headlights for a few minutes, for example, while in a dark driveway, pull the handbrake up slightly. The daytime lights don't turn on when the handbrake is up. Daytime running lights = DRL 1. lower panel above pedals. a. U have to remove plastic attachments to drop panel. 2.U will see drl module on firewall w/ white & black connectors. ( green sticker on top will say "DRL"). 3. Pull only the WHITE connector out. ( make sure you secure it to something so it will not rattle). 4. put panel back in place and secure. 5. no more drl's.

Gear is part of the outboard CV jount housing and is not separately replaceable. Geberally entire shaft known as halfshaft is replaced.

Remove the gas cap, and look for a Schroeder Valve on the fuel rail. If it has one use that to relieve pressure. If it has none then you just must be careful and expect spraying gas when disconnecting a fuel line.

"EGR Vacuum Regulator Solenoid Circuit" is the "official" OBDII definition. What this means specifically to your vehicle will require some research on your part.

It's a diagram showing you what fuse is designated for a certain part of a car. For instance number one might be for a cigarette lighter. two might be for your dome light. Some vehicles have pictures instead of number to tell you what is what. Hope this helps.

The ABS sensor is part of the hub wheel bearing assembly. The hub wheel bearing will have to be replaced. This involves removing the wheel, the hub axel nut and then three torx screws which attach the hub wheel bearing assembly to the steering knuckle. A puller tool will be neede to separate the hub bearing from the steering knuckle. If the hub bearing is heavily rusted to the steering knuckle you may need to heat the metal in order to loosen the rust connection.
