What is a kick panel on a 1990 Honda Accord?
The kick panel on a 1990 Honda accord is the same part as on every modern car in the world. The kick panel is the plastic or metal panel on the interior of the car which protects wiring and other parts of the car from the driver's or passenger's outside foot. This panel is often used as a cover for fuse boxes.
On a 2004 explorer sport trac do you need to replace the rotor when the pads are worn?
Only if the pads are worn so badly that they have cut a deep groove in the rotor. Small grooves are fine, rotors just need to be turned (shaved) to make them smooth again.
What is wrong if the car won't start by turning the key but will if you cross the solenoid?

How do you replace the light on the on-off buttons for cruise control in a 1999 Ford Explorer?
On the backside of your steering wheel there are two screws you need to remove. These are covered over with circular covers which you can easily remove. Having removed the 2 screws you can gently remove the whole unit which contains the air bag. You will see the control switches for your cruise control and your light bulbs for your cruise control (octagon like head - may be blue in color). You can turn this counter clockwise and lift off. The cruise controls may also be released from their switches by gently pulling apart (should you have need to replace them) . Some people remove these when the rubber touch pads get old however they are needed to keep your horn grounded. It is basically removing only two buttons in the back of your steering wheel and the rest is a breeze. Hope this has been helpful. Where Coil packs for s 10 location?
Mine are on the passenger side of the engine, mounted underneath the alternator. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to replace them, probably will get at them from underneath. I haven't found a good description of how best to replace them as they are in a difficult spot, and you can't really see the mounting bolts or electrical connections other than the plug wires.
I have the same problem right now with my 2001 Malibu and I was told that when the ABS light came on, that the front wheel bearing are bad and need to be replaced. I live in Chicago and I was quoted a price of $300 because there is a ABS sensor on the wheel bearings.
How do you reset your service engine soon light?
I am under the impression that you can "loan-a-tool" from AutoZone....using this you can borrow an OBD-II code reader and follow the instructions on the tool to assist you on your particular make and model. Once the potential problem has been detected, the light can be reset.
How do you remove the door panels to install speakers?
Please be more specific when asking a quesiton like model/year. Most of the time its simply removing screws and the panel should slide off either up or down. Many times screws are hidden underneath some weather stripping or being panels where you have to lightly pry off with a screwdriver.
How do you replace the windshield wiper motor on a 1989 Aerostar van?
[1] Remove the windshield wiper arms from their shafts. You must first lift the arms off of the windshield so they lock in the upright position. There is a small tab on the side of the arm where it fits onto the shaft. This tab is part of a lever that locks the arm onto the shaft. Pull the tab away from the shaft and pull the arm off of the shaft.
[2] Remove the plastic cowl below the windshield that fits around the wiper arm shafts by removing the 11 small plastic clips that hold it in place. Sliding a flat bladed screwdriver underneath the cowl next to each clip and prying upward worked well. It appears the clips are meant to be replaced with new ones each time they are removed. The cowl is plastic, usually brittle, so be careful not to break it.
[3] Use a male Torx bit, T-30, to remove the two screws that hold each of the wiper shafts in place. Allow the linkage to drop down allowing access to the motor arm stud.
[4] Locate where the wiper linkage is attached to the motor arm stud. Pry up on the center of the metal retaining clip and push it sideways off of the stud. Remove the link from the stud on the motor arm.
[5] Remove three nuts holding the wiper motor to the cowl which will allow it to drop lower into the engine compartment.
[6] Disconnect the electrical wiring connectors and work the motor out from above the engine.
Reverse procedure to install.
Where is the oil pressure sending unit on a 2001 Ford Explorer Sports track 4.0?

Where is the block heater cord on a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville?
Mine was zip-tied and stuck behind one of the headlights. It seems that it was never used so I would check there first. I found it changing a bulb. Didn't know what it was at first since I'm still young & dumb.
often the "check engine" light will come on with no apparent problems in any car. there is an array of sensors, actuators, valves, and wiring that is monitored by a computer in the car. if the computer "sees" something that doesnt match a predetermined parameter, it will turn the light on. for example, if your gas cap was left loose, after certain driving conditions are met, the computer notices that there isn't any pressure in the gas tank. federal laws say at this point, there should be pressure there. so the computer turns the light on. there would be no problems with the engine itself, just the emission system, but it turns the "check engine" light on to warn you that your car car is no longer meeting federal standards for emissions.
Sometimes there is a false warning light.
To Check:Turn off all accessories and have the key out of the ignition. Disconnect the negative battery connection for about 30 seconds and then reconnect. This action resets the computer and may make the light go out if it was a false alarm. If the light comes back on, then it is possible that you have an actual problem.
The factory-set code is located: I have a 2005 ST my code was on the keyless module behind the passenger side air bag. go to www.mysporttrac.com and it will tell u how to find it.
There is a connection behind the dash/instrument panel that is loose or corroded. If you pull the dash off and the instrument panel out the wire connecting will unplug easily. Use some contact clean on it and snap it all back together. Whole thing takes maybe 20-30 minutes.
Mine has done the same for the last three or four years. Never had the radio kick out but mine is an aftermarket I installed myself. The fix I use is to press the trip odometer reset button. Sometimes it takes a few tries but it gets everything back into place eventually.
Another AnswerYeah, mine's been doing that for years too. Lately it's gotten worse, and now the radio kicks out too. I'll hit the dashboard Fonzie-style and it comes on, or what the other guy said about the turn signal. However I wonder if it is just a switch or whether it is going to ground somehow? My battery is draining anymore and even on a newly charged battery I can't start it. I might have a different problem but I can't help but think they're not related. Glad to know others are having the same problem!!I feel you guy's pain, I have a 98 Cherokee sport as well and mine started doing it just yesterday and when I noticed it, the first thing that came to mind was unbuckling the seat belt and buckling it back and they all started working again! But I will definitely try the right turn signal thing, as well as the Fonsie quality tap, lol! But don't you guys find it strange that in all of our cases that the only thing on the panel that works is the airbag light?! It has to be a defect!!
AnswerYou're not the only one--mines been doing it for years! Now it comes back on when I turn my right turn signals on. The dealer tells me its a faulty switch (or loose connection to it) located just behind the dashboard. Because of the difficulty in accessing this spot, I haven't had anything done about it.ANSWER
The real deal from the dealer is: "PIGTAIL" as it's called it links your computer to your instrument dashboard cluster panel. It's a $35.00 part that costs $1200.00 to put in on account of disassembling the entire dash.
Where is the automatice headlight sensor on 05 Ford Sport Trac?
On top of the dash near the windshield.
How do you remove the tail lights on a Mercury Tracer?
I believe you can get to the screws of the tail-lights (lamps) by opening the trunk and looking behind the plastic wall in the vicinity of the tail-lamp (light) area. I just looked at mine and did not see any screws on the outside of my 95 Tracer, so when I popped the trunk, there were screws behind the plastic vinyl wall at the taillamp area. Don't know which screws exactly lead to the taillamp, but you might can take out the taillamp bulbs for a better look.
Yeah the nuts are behind the plastic wall I think they are 10mm nuts.
