1. Look under the glove box for a blue connector with a single wire going into each side. 2. Pull this connector apart and tie both sides up under the dash.
3. Disconnect the battery negative connection.
4. Leave the battery disconnected from the car for at least 5 minutes.
5. Reconnect the battery to the car.
6. Test by closing the car door then opening it and look at your dome light.
Your dome light and the key-in-switch chime should now be enabled.
just because you lights and radio work does not mean your battery is good.the starter needs over 100 amp of power to start a car a light needs 5 amps, load test your battery and check cables and connections for corrosion. if battery is over 3 to 4 years your due for a battery, also check alternater is charging when car is running

How do you replace the evaporator in a 99 Ford Windstar 3.8L?
I don't know how to do it, but the dealer is charging me $2075.00 to replace it on my 2000 Windstar!
The module is failing. The turn signals and emergency flashers are both controlled electronically. The module is behind the emergency flasher switch and requires partial disassemble of the dash to access it There are several screws: 2 on the ends under the fuse covers 2 on the panel under the steering wheel and 2 by the odometer Take your ignition key off the ring, put it in the ignition and position to run so that you can put the column shift into 1 (full down) and put the steering wheel to full down in order to get the clearance to get the pannel off. Gently pull the face off the dash. Don't break off the clips. A replacement is about $40 from the dealer. GO to the junk yard and if your lucky u might find 1 for 10 bucks.. this is a commen problem with impalas i bet i looked throught 15 cars b4 i found one with a switch in it. why buy a new switch that will go bad when u can get a used one that might do the same

How do you replace the starter on a 1992 Geo Storm with an automatic transmission?
Jack up and support the car. Disconnet the battery,Crawl under the engine in the middle with a 14mm socket and ratchet and a 12 mm wrench and a flathead screwdriver. Use the screwdriver to remove the small plug on the bottom wire. Move the rubber cover and use the 12mm wrench to loosen and remove the battery cable. Now the fun begins, The bottom bolt is not hard to reach,But the top can be tough U cannot see it so u must feel around to get the socket on it loosen it up and remove it then do the bottom. Installing it is not as hard as it seems as the starter will stay put without the bolts being in it but I would put the bottom bolt in just in case. Good luck!!

Replace 98 Ford Explorer heater blend door?
To replace a broken blend door, typically a mechanic will disassemble the entire dash, and replace the plenum box. Unfortunately this is an expensive fix because it is labor and parts intensive. There is a DIY solution called heatertreater. They provide instructions on how to access the blend door by removing the glove box, and replacing the blend door without removing the dash and plenum assembly. Broken blend doors are a common problem among Ford explorers, and most heating and A/C issues in late model Ford explorers are directly caused by a malfunctioning blend door.
