Oil on the outside of the spark plug is normally a sign of a leaking valve cover gasket. Oil on the spark plug electrode, (plug must be removed to see this oil), is normally a sign of a broken or worn piston ring. A compression test will verify if a ring is worn or broken.

motorcraft.com shows a spark plug gap of ( .044 inch ) for the 2.0 L - 4 cylinder and 2.5 L - V6 engines

A turbo transmission is does not involve turbo in the conventional sense at all. A turbo takes exhaust gases straight off the cylinder head via a special exhaust manifold, and uses that air velocity to force air into the intake. This has a cost of having the incoming air to the engine hotter than what is ideal, but there is a trade off with any system. A turbo transmission, such as GM's turbo hydramatic, is merely a name GM assigned to the transmission. GM's Turbo Hydramatic 700R4 transmission was their first with an overdrive gear. This overdrive gear was a higher gear ration than previous transmission's 3rd gear and gave much better gas mileage on the street. So, a turbo transmission does not actually use turbo, it is just a name for a transmission with another gear for highway use. Turbo in this sense is just a name.

There is no "fan belt"; the 2.5L V-6 has two accessory drive belts, both with tensioners (loosen the large nut in the center of the tensioner pulley, and adjust the threaded adjustment rod), and the 2.0L I-4 has a single accessory drive belt with a tensioner (loosen the clamp bolt & adjust the threaded adjustment rod).

In my 20 plus years of working professionally on cars, and for Ford Motor Company, I have never heard of a "clutch gasket." I have absolutely no idea what you are asking about. But if you want to see some funny blank stares, you could go to the parts dept of your nearest Ford dealership and ask for a clutch gasket. Are you talking about a seal in the hydraulic clutch system? If so, then you don't need to worry about finding a seal, since hydraulic clutch componets are serviced as assemblies. In other words, if you have a leaking master cylinder, replace the master cylinder. If you have a leaking slave cylinder, replace that.

Please be specific, if you mean the fuel cutout switch, it is located in the trunk near the below the Matt on the driver side. It will have a thin rubber housing with a button to depress.

if you slida all the way under the car past the oil pan almost to the firewall an look up and over the pan you'll see it. i know this seems complicated but it it is up there

I don't know if that's the year they changed styles but I have 91 probe and its under the back part of the air intake just to the left of the air filter if your standing facing your engine its hidden back there just feel for it its alittle knob

I think you are wanting to know the horsepower of a Ford Probe. But as you fail to list the year or engine size, it is impossible to provide an answer.

If your headlights wont come up when you turn the lights on then you will have to "turn" them up manually.......look under your front end for the box that controls your flip up headlights and find where you need to turn/crank to get them to come up manually. Remember though, they will be up permanently unless you crank them up and then back down all the time.

The fuel filter is mounted on a bracket affixed to the rear of the left-hand side motor/transaxle mount.

The Probe was made when they tried to retire the Mustang while at the same time begin dabbling in creating a sleeker looking sports car. During that time, import cars were beginning to become more popular because domestic cars retained the "blocky" look while imports were more aerodynamic and "sexy" looking.

Production of the Probe stopped when Mustang fanatics (I use the term loosely) nationwide demanded the return of their iconic vehicle.

The 1996 Ford Probe SE that has a rough idle can be fixed by locating the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) Sensor and replacing any damaged wires. The EFI or Electronic Fuel Injector can also be the problem. The engines of today no longer have an adjustment screw to turn to set the idle.

On the '93-'97 GT's the ignition coil is part of the distributor. If your coil goes bad you need to change the distributor.

yes of course,but it takes some work!you need a eaton m90 supercharger,fuel pump,biger injectors,blow off valve,intercooler if you run more then 7 psi boost,pulleys.....but you can do it with little bit of work!

If you are talking about a fuel cutoff switch then it is in the trunk right next to the fuel hose there is a little red button

On the manual transaxle, the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) is on the top rear of the transaxle, pretty much directly below the MAF (Mass Airflow) sensor.

When you open up your hood look down on the driver's side below the radiator. It should be a white wingnut looking thingy with a tiny hose pointed to the ground. I have 1995 Ford Probe, and I found this out the hard way last month. You can also feel it from the bottom of you car when you stick your hand in

Did you check your coil? and stupid question, but did you check the timing belt. and i believe it has a cam sensor, that controls spark.
