Have 99 tacoma engine light on changed gas cap still no pressure build up only problem engine light on?

You need to have the computer codes read at the dealer or a parts store ( lots of them will do it for free ) the issue that your truck is having may have nothing to do with the gas cap. If you did have the codes read and a gas cap was the answer then disconnect the battery or better yet remove the ecc fuse for about a minute to reset the computer and see if the problem returns.

Why does my 99 Ford Windstar power seat fuse keeps burning out intermittently?

Usually if a seat motor is causing the fuse to blow then the motor is going bad. It could be using more amperage than it is designed to use. This will cause the fuse to blow. DO NOT be tempted to put in a bigger fuse. This can cause a fire. Good luck.

How do you fix the vent control knob on a 1996 dodge neon its stuck on the defrost setting?

The cable or the vent door is probably binding. Take out the control panel first to see if the problem is there, then trace the cable down and see if you can manually move the vent door. If not, you may have to take the duct apart or replace it. I would suggest disconnecting the battery for a half hour before working on this so you don't accidently set off the air bags.

How do you replace a mass air flow sensor in a 1999 ford windstar?

There should be a hose clamp holding the air intake tube on. Loosen this clamp. Discconnect the ait sensor from the part you just unclamped. Release the clamp thing that holds the other end of the tube to the air filter box. Remove this hose to get it out of your way. Now what you should see is a square shaped sensor that covers the opening toward the engine. There will be four screws. Remove the screws and diconnect the connector. It should be off now. Hope this helps.

What is Jaguar xj6 fuel tank size?

There are several different models of Jaguar cars called the xj6 by the manufacturer and drivers since the inception of the range in 1968. Jaguar enthusiasts tend to refer only to the Series 1,2, and 3 cars produced between 1968 and 1992 as Xj6, or XJ12 with the 12 cylinder engine fitted . The series 1, 2, and 3 XJ6 (or XJ12) has two fuel tanks fitted. The Series 1 XJ holds 12 gallons (Imperial) in each tank, a total of 24 gallons. The Series 2 and 3 XJ holds 10.5 gallons in each tank, a total of 21 gallons. Series 1 cars for the North American market hold 11 gallons in each tank, a total of 22 gallons. T

How does Tire pressure sensor work?

There are two general types of tire pressure systems, direct and indirect. An indirect system doesn't actually measure the tire pressure. It uses the wheel speed sensor (part of the ABS) to measure very minute differences in rotational speed between all four tires. When it senses a difference from what a nominally good tire is, it will turn on the tire pressure light. Note that you will need to check the tire pressure in all tires, as it doesn't indicate which tire is the problem. Once the tire pressure is adjusted, reset the light according to the owner's manual. You'll also need to do this after changing to a spare.

Direct systems attach a pressure sensor/transmitter to the vehicle's wheel inside the tire's air chamber. This system uses a small battery-powered pressure sensor with radio transmitter on the back of each tire valve, attached to the wheel rim. Some direct systems use a sensor mounted to a metal band around the inside of the rim. The batteries are designed to last 10 years. There will be a corresponding radio receiver next to each wheel, which picks up the signal from the sensor and passes it to the system's in-car receiver and the information is displayed to the driver.

How to reset anti theft alarm system on a 1997 Toyota tacoma truck?

The method for reseting this alarm system sounds a little goofy. But, here is how I have to reset mine: While sitting in the drivers seat, open the passenger door and leave it opened. Turn the key off and on to the accessory position five times. Open and close the driver's door three times. Shut the passenger door.

If the abs light stays on but the brakes work what is the problem?

The most common cause is a bad wheel sensor

if the abs light is on, this means that there is a problem in the anti locking brake system

the brakes will work but at some time they will let you down.take it and get it fixed before ya kill someone

the lights are there for a reason. lights on dash were nicknamed idiot lights

they are put there so idiots get the problem fixed

=========================================================

In my case the ABS light came and stayed on and the first ABS fuse that I

checked was not installed all the way ( still suspicious of how that could have

happened )

Why would a car stall while driving?

Stalling. My first inclination is to look for a fuel problem like low fuel pressure but there can be reasons a car would do this. Anyhow, you're basically looking at two reasons an engine will stop running. Either there's no fuel or no fire. In other words, either the engine isn't getting any gasoline (no fuel) or the spark plugs aren't firing. No gas could mean a bad fuel filter or pump. No fire... that's tougher. There could be many causes there. So anyway, that's it in a nut shell. Hope that helps.

When sliding door on 1999 Ford Windstar will not open how do you get it too?

Answer
More information may be needed, but, if you are referring to using the power-door *buttons* to open it:
  • Ensure the door is *unlocked*

  • Turn off the automatic door switch up by the rear view mirror

  • The door now should be in full *manual* mode and able to be pulled open, especially from the inside.

Does it feel like the locking / unlocking is jammed? You can remove the interior side door panel from the inside to check the door lock linkage:

1. remove the retainer screw from the door handle cover and remove. 2. remove the screw from the bottom left corner of the door panel. 3. pull the door panel away from the door, starting at the bottom. Lift up and off the door. This should expose enough of the linkage to be able to inspect it for damage, where it may have come disconnected, spots to grease, etc.

Your 97 Geo Tracker starts when cold but dies at idle when hot you've cleaned the throttle body and replaced the PCV but it still dies but not as often the check engine light is on with code 135?

P0135 error code refers to the HO2S, Heated oxygen sensor. It is located on the exhast manifold and has a wire from it toward the fire wall near the brake master cylinder. there is a wire connector that can be unpluged and spliced to the new O2 sensor wire pigtail. this may solve the performance prob. Other things to check are vaccum leaks and EGR problems.
