the hood release is found in the glove box on the right hand side it took me almost a hour to find it

If this is like mine, you must first know the combination to open the lock. If it is locked and you don't remember the combination, or don't know it, you will probably have to cut it off with bolt cutters. When lock is open you may then set to any combination you like. The lock will memorize whatever the combination was when it is closed. Once closed change the numbers and the lock will not open until the combination showing when the lock was closed is dialed in.

We have a 92 Ford Aerostar minivan and our sliding door locked up for a year - even ford could not fix it. My dad reset the computer (disconnect the battery for five minutes) and it has worked for almost a year now.

Don't know if this will help, but I had the same trouble with my 2002 and my mechanic had to take apart inside panel on back tailgate and there was a switch in their that had broken. The part was just as expensive as the labor and it was quite a task.

The hood release on my 1998 E320 wagon is under the dash next to the drivers door. It is also listed in the Owner's Manual.

I'm trying to remember but I'm pretty sure you have to be in the car and lock the doors. turn key to either the acc or ign on position. can't remember. press the rear demister button three times in less than 5 seconds the door should lock and unlock three times. press the unlock/lock button on the desired keys and then turn ign off. procedure may vary slightly between models but this works for eb falcons at least.

note this only works on e-series falcons. can't think on the top of my head for au falcons and ba falcons.

Try the old way - inserting the key into the door lock. Also try the passenger door ... it may be a little inconvenient to enter/exit the car vehicle that way, but at least you'll be inside and driving it instead of being on the outside cursing the drivers door.

The key fob battery in an 02 Buick Rendezvous is changed by prying the case open using a coin or screwdriver. The battery can then be pulled out and a new battery installed.

Try shooting a thin penetrant into the lock, and trying it. Do this daily for a week and if it doesn't work, replace the lock. not enough info. are you saying key doesn't work or manually locking by hand won't work, or both, key turns but door doesn't lock??? etc.

Try using the key to open the lock mechanism while the door is unlocked.

This could be due to the connecting rod between the key lock barrel and the lock mechanisim (in the door, connected lock button, breaking. The connector comprises of 5 parts, a rod, a spring, ans two 'plates' at either end. The spare parts can be bought from VW for around 10 GBP

After you pull the orange release handle on the lower left dash board, a grey safety release should pop out at the top of the grill. Try raising the hood a little if it does not. It is plastic and may be broken, but sometimes it's just adjusted wrong.

I'm assuming that you mean without drilling into the door the only way to do this would be to have a latch, remember the old medieval 2 by 4 of wood that would go on two striking plates in front of a door. This is literally what I mean.

Other than that you could attach a euro cylinder or night latch fairly easy but it would involve drilling through the door.

Yes, there are multiple companies that make locks with that function. Maglock make a great high security lock that functions that way,it is a little pricey though and is uasally only used on commercial applications. schlage makes a leverset that will come with that function and is much cheaper.

On a 1996 Honda accord look thru the center of the front grill right side, you will see 2 10mm bolts vertically placed and on the left side you will see 1 10mm bolt. These hold the latch assembly on. Take all three bolts off, You might need a universal swivel attachment for your ratchet. Once these bolts are removed pull up on the hood. Take caution though..the left side of the front grill kinda makes it hard to raise the hood with the assmbly on it, but it will raise up. This might help on other vehicles by just un-bolting the latch assembly. have you tried using two people at a time to open the hood - one to pull on up on the hood while the other pulls the interior release? only way my '94 Accord would open. (or I prised release open with a screw-driver and pulled the hood myself) hope it helps That will probably damage your hood. If the cable came loose, the interior release will be useless. Get a set of small socket wrenches and dismantle your way in through the front end. It's awkward but usually you can do it through the grill.

Open door from outside and then de-activate child proof door lock button on the edge of door. You will then be able to open the slider from the inside.

Is the cable or just the black piece broken? My black piece broke and I just take pliers and pull on the T on the end of the cable and it opens it. SAME THING HAPPENED TO MY 99 COUGAR! I TOO USE PLIERS, I FIND THE METAL CORD BELOW THE WHITE PIECE AND JUST PULL HARD....THE DEAERSHIP QUOTED 350 TO FIX, SO I WILL STICK YO USING PLIERS. Yeah i had stepped on my lever and broke it also i just called the dealer and ordered a new one it cost less than 20 dollars and took like five minuets to install and only one day for them to get the part for me so get rid of the pliers .

LOL...I had the same problem until I realized the driver door locks all the doors and must be lcoked from the outside. I assume it is a safety precaution to avoid lokcing your keys inside.

we tried using a offset screwdriver to fix it but it won't work it is so hard to get to, we got the grill off but the radiator is in the way, we tried putting a screwdriver up in the hole to pop it it won't budge. help please

Using the handle which opens the doors. Instead of pulling it as you do to open, you push it in until it clicks.

pull the wheel to the right or left a hair and then turn the key

from what im told the locks on the car are vacuum lines, perhaps your vacuum isn't working or the lines have popped off.
