How reliable is a 1991 Mazda 929?

Having a 90 929 I would say it is the most overly engineered, unthought out piece of machinery that I have ever owned. Its wonderful to drive but if something goes wrong its nothing but one big headache. Finding parts generally involves wait times and working on it needs someone with tiny hands. I will not buy anouther one. I have had this one for 3 years and put one 40000 klicks. How do you remove the driver's side door panel on a 1992 Mazda 929?

Remove the door handle trim inside (one screw). Remove the plastic speed screw under the door panel (look under the door panel) Remove the screw located under the material located inside the door handle (looks like a piece of carpet. pop the panel loose. disconnect the wires and remove door panels. TIP *** Tighten all the screws to make the door solid like when it was new and reduce rattling. I Recommend removing all screws and filling all the post with JB Weld and let dry, drill the holes out. Then reassemble the door panel pieces. This will allow you to tighten the screws without stripping the plastic standoff posts.

Why does the check engine light stays on after replacing the egr o2 sensor mass air flow and catalytic converters?

The fault must be cleared using a tester. This is a general answer, as in for many cars...yours may require a manual reset: After correcting the problem, say replacing the Mass sensor, the light will reset but only after the car has the opportunity to run through all it's checks and the computer agrees. This can take a few miles or even several hundred, and sometimes requires a few turn on and offs. Alternatively, if you made a good guess, even checked the code, but didn't fix all the things causing the CEL to go on, it isn't going to go off!

How do i Drain Mazda 929 radiator?

This procedure s fairly generic so it should suit most makes of vehicle, but you should always consult your vehicle manual for acurate servicng and to help you locate parts specific to your vehicle.

* First remove the Radiator cap. * Un-do the bottom radiator hose clamp with a screw driver or spanner.

(either at the engine block side or radiator side which ever is easier to access)

* Next remove the hose from the outlet by manipulating it with your hands (boiling water poured on the outside of the hose can help here) * Let all the fluid run out of the radiator and engine block (into a recepticle for diluted disposal in garden)

Job done.

If you were to refill the radiator...

* Flush the radiator out with a hose from top to bottom until the water exiting runs clear

To be thourough you should also remove the thermostat and flush the engine block from the top (and replace the thermostat with a new one).

* Refit the hoses and tighten hose clamps.

* Slowly refill the cooling system with a decanter of water and engine coolant

* Check all hose clamps are tight and start engine - leaving the radiator cap off.

* run engine till it reaches standard opperating temperature or beyond and all air has escaped the sytstem this part is very important.

* once it has returned to standard operating temperature replace radiator cap.

* carry water in your car and watch the temperature guage while driving.

* In the days following the flush recheck the hoses and level of radiator to ensure the fluid doen't leak out. Good luck...

Where is the fuel pressure regulator located on a 1995 Mazda 929?

It is located behind the center of the plenum. Which some would consider the intake on this particular car. It is the little round thing up close the center of the fire wall on the car. It is kind of hard to see. It is easier to find if you follow the fuel hose behind the intake.
