What sensor might be bad to cause a check engine light to go on after car is warm?
I would look at the O2 sensors for the exhaust and catalytic converter.
Additional InformationA computer diagnostic will tell you what code is being stored. When the light is on it just means that the computer has information that you need to know. You can usually borrow, rent or buy a code scanner from most local auto parts retailers. Auto Zone and Checker Auto Parts will often scan the code for you, without charge, on the hopes that you'll buy the parts from them. The advantage of using the code scanner is that then you know for certain what part is acting up. Yes, the problem is most likely the O2 sensor, but there are other possibilities as well. Don't guess, get the information from the computer then you'll know.BTW, the procedure is quite simple, even I can do it.
When should you replace your oxygen sensors?
It is only necessary when the computer recognizes a problem with it. You will have a check engine code. Mine triggered a code " low output " for about 6 months before I changed it, it was still operating ok and not affecting engine performance but the minor fault was picked up by the computer. Even though there isn't a recommended interval, you should probably look at changing them out about 30-50k miles. You risk excessive wear to other vehicle components so waiting on the engine light to come on is not a very good measure, however this has been recommended in the past. Most O2 sensors pay for themselves within the first year of replacing them just in fuel savings, not to mention what you save on engine and drivetrain wear.
The engine is overheating. The check engine light is not on because you have no problem with the emissions system which this light monitors.
Where is the oxygen sensor located on a 2003 Chevy S10 4.3L V 6 Bank 2 Sensor 1?
It is threaded into the header pipe directly after the exhaust manifold on the passenger side.
What is book time for changing exhaust manifold on a Ford truck?
book time depends on year make and model... couple of fords require a 1/2 to 1" engine lift to get the manifold off, meaning u need a cherry picker and remove mounting bolts before even getting to manifold

Where can you find a diagram of the 02 sensor for a 2003 dodge ram 5.7?
Go to Rockauto.com , put in your vehicle info, click on left Emissions and then O2 sensors and you will see picture of sensors for your truck.
If adding aditech to fuel will it harm catalytic converter?
I am not familiar with this product. I am sure that the Subaru manual warns against any additives. From a more practical standpoint, you should contact the manufacturer or distributor of this produce and ask about a guarantee that this product will not harm anything in your fuel system. Then decide if you trust them to honor such a warranty. I would worry more about damaging the fuel pump or rubber hoses in the fuel line. These could result in either getting stuck by the roadside or setting your vehicle on fire. Given that, what are they promising that would make using it worthwhile?
Where is the oxygen sensor located on 2001 Isuzu Rodeo?
There are 4 of them on the 3.2L engine, I'm sure it's similar on the 2.2L. They are located on the exhaust pipes under the driver and passenger floor wells. You will need one down and one up on each side, I feel that the Bosch brand was the better sensor, I went through 2 of the cheaper (generic) ones in a few months.
The best way to get to them is to lift the truck and have a really skinny friend reach up there to remove them with a wrench, I'm not a a huge fat guy, but the oriental guy in our shop had to help me with these. LOL, so I will give credit to Wu for the help....
Why would the check engine light still be on after changing all four oxygen sensors?
Check Engine Light on Ford Windstar may show more different problems than bad exhousting fumes for which reason I believe you replaced the oxigen sensors. Anyway, it often resets (turns off) after the problem was resolved by disconnecting the battery and wait 1 minute to discharge all the circuits. Then reconnect the battery and see if it helped. It did help me when I got it on after using low quality gas (with lots of sulphur) It was supposed to turn off after a few cycles using a better quality fuel but it didn't until I disconnected the battery. Good luck.
Where is the oxygen sensor on a 2001 Lexus RX300?
All oxygen sensors are in the exhaust. They can either be before or after the catalytic convertor. Just because you have a code for an oxygen sensor does Not mean that it is defective. You can have a vacuum leak causing a lean code. You can also have a leaky injector that will cause a rich code.
The only way you will know what is wrong ( there could be problems that do not affect the way it runs right now ) is to have the computer codes read. If the light is on there "is" a problem.
Which 02 sensor is bank 1 sensor 2 on a 97 Toyota Camry?
The sensor 2 should be next to the catalytic converter just under the passenger seat. The sensor 1 is in the exhaust manifold.
Where is the oxygen sensor located on a 2001 Ford Escape?
I believe it is on the back of the header/manifold. There are two of them on some Escapes.
What does it mean when an o2 sensor fault is lean how do you fix it?
The o2 sensor is apparantly picking up a "lean" signal because you have too much air and not enough fuel going through your injectors. Possibly caused by a problem in your "evap" system, or a bad "ecg" sensor. also possibly caused by clogged injectors.
What does a bad oxygen sensor do?
It messes up your fuel economy therefor burning more gas and will also trip your check engine light. It may have a smell to it and run a bit crappy.
How many o2 sensors does a 1999 Chevy s10 have?
It depends on which engine you have. Give us more info.
The CC is attached to the manifold/exhaust. It doesn't "need maintenance". But it might need to be replaced, which could get a little pricey.
Where is the oxygen sensor on a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am 4-cylinder?
If it is anything like the '96 Grand Am, it is located under a cover between the engine and firewall. The cover has 3 bolts in it. Remove the bolts and the cover and you will find the O2 sensor (front - the other is just after the catalytic converter.) You will need a 7/8" wrench to remove the part.
How many oxygen sensors does a 1996 Ford Crown Victoria have?
4 2 in front of the Cats and 2 between the two cats on each side.
How many o2 sensors does 1998 4runner 4wd v6 have?
It has two, one in front of the catalytic converter and one behind it. The one in front (closest to the engine) affects gas mileage and performance. The second one monitors the condition of the catalytic converter.
