Car was very low on oil will this ruin your car?

It will not necessarily ruin it if you don't let it go too long. Make sure that you put the proper amount of oil in it so as it reads full on the dip stick. Check for leaks around the oil pan and valve cover gaskets and replace any gaskets that need it. Make a habit of checking your oil frequently. At least every time you put fuel in and top off as necessary. Running your oil too low for extended periods of time will cause exessive wear on your engine parts. If you run it low for long periods of time and for long distances, it could ruin your motor but if it's running ok now, i'd say that you caught it in time. changing your oil and filter every 3 to 4 thousand miles is recommended.

What happens to a truck that was impounded from your own spot if you don't pay for it because you are fighting it with the HOA to pay for it in Washington state?

Until you prove the tow was in error the impound fees are your responsibility. If you leave your truck in impound the fees will increase at a rapid rate. You must redeem the truck from impound as soon as possible to avoid a huge bill. You can then resolve the issue with the HOA and ask for reasonable fees IF it is determined that a mistake was made. However, even if the HOA is determined to be at fault, you would be under the obligation to mitigate your damages by retrieving your truck as soon as possible. You can't just leave it in impound until you resolve your dispute with the HOA. If you don't act, the excess fees will be your responsibility even if you win the dispute and you may eventually lose your truck if the fees get too high.

What are the laws that the pope has made?

The Holy Father doesn't really make laws the way one would think of a Congress publishing its decisions. The Laws in the Catholic church extend way back for many centuries, and are complex, coming from many different sources (all, of course, under the Popes). Vatican Council I in the 19th century requested that all of these be brought together in one place. Pope Saint Pius X (from whom I take my name) began this process at the turn of the last century (beginning of the 20th century), and it was completed by his predecessor, Pope Benedict XV. This was the code of Canon Law that the church used until Vatican Council II requested an update, the Code which we are now living under. There is a congregation in Rome (an office so to speak) that is responsible for this. When it was finished it was submitted to the Pope, and the Pope promulgated it (issued it under his authority as Pope).

I was asked to vacate my apartment and did. Do i still have to pay them the remainder of my lease and what happens if i do not pay them?

First, just because you receive an eviction notice doesn't mean that you have to leave... especially if you had a lease. The landlord sending you an eviction notice, or what's called a notice to quit is just the landlord telling you that they want you to leave and this is only the first of many steps. If you already left, then you left well before you should have.

The notice gives you a certain amount of time to leave, if you had stayed the landlord would then need to get a court date which would take about another 2-4 weeks after the time is up in the first notice you got.

Then you would have went to court and you could have argued your defense as to why you feel you should stay in the apartment, if it was because you stopped paying the rent for whatever reason, you could have been given a chance by the court to make payments to catch up on the back rent.

You should have stayed and went to court is what you should have done, by leaving the apartment without going to court you gave up all of your rights and at this point the landlord can now go to small claims court and tell them that you broke the lease even though it was your landlord who was trying to break the lease first by asking you to leave.

I would refuse to pay any amount to the landlord, and wait to see if you get a notice to go to the court. I would also save the notice you got asking you to leave and anything else you have from the landlord in writing, including your lease.

If they file in court you will need this to show that you were not the one that broke your lease, in fact they were the ones to ask you to leave, and you did, and now they are trying to sue you even though they were the ones that broke the lease.

So, DO NOT PAY THEM A PENNY at this point and wait to see if they file a case in court... if they do, you already have your defense by saying exactly what I just told you, and you can support this defense with the evidence such as your lease, the eviction notice they gave you, and anything else in writing that you have from your landlord.

What causes smell of badly rotten fruit in subaru SUV that disappears as soon as ac is turned on no food in car had extensive repair months ago but this is recent?

When the heater core leaks antifreeze into the heater unit it will smell sickly sweet. you may have or had a leak. --- I work with body shops a lot, and a customer had this exact problem. It turned out a baby duck had crawled up inside the wheel well and died in a small crevice that lead into the vehicle and was not easily accessed. When they got into the vehicle they could smell it, it was sickly sweet (I smelled it myself) and reminded me of rotting fruit as well. When they turned the vehicle on and the air conditioner cooled the vehicle the smell would go away. The smell got worse the further into summer they got as the heat outside was worsening the decomposition. You may want to have a shop take a good look around the vehicle to rule this out!

What are the types of warrants?

  • Alias warrant - defendant fails to show up for initial appearance after a citation is issued
  • Bench warrant - defendant fails to show up for a scheduled court date
  • Capias warrant - defendant fails to pay fine after guilty verdict or plea Parole revocation (aka blue warrant) - self explanatory
  • Also, whatever state you are in there are regions and if a unpaid citations turns into a warrant it will be in that region it was issued but will not show up in other regions. And then there are state warrants, for example: Texas state warrant is a TCIC which will show up on a check throughout the state, unlike a NCIC which--as you guessed--will show up over the country. Then there are International warrants that (I do not remember the abbreviation) mean when issued you are wanted by INTERPOL--which is not very good.

Would a car repossession on your credit report prevent you from getting an apartment when they do a credit check?

As a one-time issue in a good credit report, it may not be an issue. However, the reason the landlord checks credit is to assure that you will be likely to pay rent on time. It costs a lot of time and energy to follow up on non-paying tenants. I would also guess that the rental market you are looking in is going to matter in that the person with better credit will win that one open apartment.

Yes, it could be a problem and although I shouldn't say this, if the subject comes up have a good story to tell them. Usually landlords don't do a credit check on you and the worst that can really happen is they check at the last residence you live at. Here's hoping you were a good tenant.

Answer

It's not likely, as the previous poster stated. As long as you can submit the required monies, such as a security deposit you shouldn't have problem.

What is the standard size of a car stereo?

Their is no standard size per say. Many older cars have a single DIN size opening sometimes also referred to as I or J size. Newer cars and many GM products have double DIN size or a size that is almost half the difference between the double DIN and single DIN. Certain German cars have an E size radio that is slightly higher and significantly wider than a single DIN. More likely than not a single DIN or size J or I will fit your car with a custom bracket and fascia. A good source of information on what will specifically fit your car can be found from a retailer named Crutchfield.

Can a Philadelphia Parking Authority Officer issue a ticket for vehicle inspection on a parked vehicle?

Apparently, Yes. I am fighting this. I received a ticket on 4/9/13 for $41, whcih apparently falls under their 12-916(2) code.

I drive a fleet vehicle, and per my corporate guidelines, must have the car inpsected by the dealer. The first appointment I could get was 4/16/13.

The PPA ticket "officer"informed me that as long as I submitted proof of inspection within 10 business days, I would not have to pay the ticket.

I did, and appealed this via the PPA website. I just received a letter saying they have denied my appeal. I am very frustrated.

Dear Mayor Nutter, If Philly seriously "loves me" and wants me to visit, why is Philly so stubborn to work with? I guarantee you I would spend more than $41 in Philly by going there for an evening out, but your policies and difficult PPA team makes me want to spend my money elsewhere.

How much does title insurance cost?

Title insurance rates vary from state to state and market to market. In some states, the fees are set by the AGENT, and are market competitive -- they may be negotiated by the Agent. In other states, the rates and fees are regulated by that state's Department of Insurance and the fees may not be negotiated - higher or lower than the regulated fees. In both cases, the premium fees are calculated on a per $1000 rate. That rate is then based on whether the transaction is a "basic" rate, "re-issue" rate, "refinance" rate or "new construction" rate. Basic rate covers a policy issued on a Purchase transaction and usually calculated on the Purchase Price and the Mortgage Amount. Re-Issue rate covers a policy issued on a Purchase transaction and whether or not the Sellers can provide backtitle to the Buyers. The back title criteria is typically based on how old the Sellers' Owner's Policy is. (Usually a lower per $1000 rate than basic) Refinance rate covers a policy issued to the current owner on a Mortgage loan. Depending on the state, the previous mortgage amount may have a bearing on how the rate is calculated.(Usually a lower per $1000 rate than basic) New construction rates covers the builder during the construction of the property, before the construction is complete. (Usually a significantly lower rate than basic since the property is not a fully finished home/building during the time of coverage.) New construction rates do NOT cover a buyer purchasing a completed home from the builder, only the time the home is BEING constructed and covering the builder.
