How do you get to the front signal lights in a 1994 probe to change the bulbs?
I've found that the best way to change out the front turn signals of Ford Probe is to jack up the front end of the side of the car that needs to have the turn signal bulb replaced. Then remove the two hex headed screws and the two plastic panel connectors that are holding the inner fender liner to the front fender. These are located just forward of the front wheel. After you remove these parts you can fold the inner fender liner back and reach up to unlock the light socket from the turn signal lens. This can be done without jacking up the car, but it's a bit more difficult.
1. Remove the screws and pull down on the front portion of the fender liner. This provides just enough room for your hand to reach in and access the two bulb holders.
2. Turn the bulb holder counterclockwise and pull it out of the housing.
3. Pull the bulb from the holder and replace.
** What the book DOESN"T tell you is that it's a whole lot easier if you turn the tires opposite from the side you need to get too. Also, if you have really large4 hands or forearms, you may need to take the tire off altogether.
With a volt meter check to see if you have power to that socket. Check at the wire not the socket. If you find you have power, either the socket is corroded or broken. Also check the ground connection at that socket.

replace the mutifunction switch
I have a '98 C1500, and it does the same thing. Diagnosis: Multi Function switch. What I want to add: Your vehicle, like mine, has an air bag. Unless you know the proper procedures involved in working around them, do yourself a favor and take it to a shop. It is not worth the risk to save a few bucks. This is at most a 2 hour repair, $60-$120 labor, plus the part. My $.02.
I have the same problem with my 98 Blazer yes it does seem to be the MF switch (Multi- Function) and yes better off to have a shop do it for you.

Where is the flasher relay on a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire?
The module has mounting hardware on it; just pull it free from the chassis.
Then simply pull the module out of the socket. I found that the socket is keyed so the module can only go in one way.
Since I was using a generic unit w/o the factory mounting, I taped the unit and the socket to a nearby wiring harness. Make sure you leave room for the panel to go back and don't just let it dangle, as it will work its way back to the brake pedal and could cause a jam.
Then twist the black panel back into place replace the screw and you are golden.
Where is the turn signal flasher location on the 1995 Lincoln town car?
TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE THERE IS NO PLUG-IN FLASHER BASE FOR REPLACEMENT. IT IS IN THE ELECTRONICS MODULE LOCATED JUST TO THE LEFT OF THE ASH TRAY PULL OUT, DOWN TOWARDS THE BOTTOM OF THE DASH. THE "FIX" IS REMOVING THE TURN SIGNAL ARM/SWITCH AND REPLACING IT OR TAKING IT APART AND CLEANING THE SWITCH WHICH IS LOCATED IN THE STEERING COLUMN. THE "FIX" IS REMOVING THE TURN SIGNAL ARM/SWITCH AND REPLACING IT OR TAKING IT APART AND CLEANING THE SWITCH WHICH IS LOCATED IN THE STEERING COLUMN.....Addendum by Happy Gilmore: Yes the above is a good solution. I have a '98 Town Car and found that the turn signals and flashers had stopped working, but running lights were still good. I ruled-out the lighting control module, by having been told it was very reliable. The turn signal arm is fairly easy to remove. The steering column shroud (cover) is held together with Phillips screws underneath. But the steering tilt engagement arm will need to be unscrewed before the blinker arm can be pulled down and out. The tilt-arm is screwed in w/some wicked locktite. I had to use vice grips with a swatch of bike-tube rubber to keep from marring the metal. after that, the blinker arm can be removed with a 7mm socket, and the 2 wiring harnesses can be unplugged. After removing the arm, I cleaned the unit with a can of QD electro-contact cleaner (plastic safe) from the home center. I did this WITHOUT disassembling the actual blinker-arm unit. Instead I found numerous openings in the plasiic housing to inject the cleaner. After giving the unit a little time to dry, I plugged the 2 harnesses in back in, and everything worked like new.

Why Chevy hazard lights flash when turn signal is used?
Does your hazard lights only work when you turn the flashers on and the turn signal on at the same time? GM is known for having a multi-purpose switch... this switch controls your lights, turn signals, hazard lights and high beams... sometimes cruise control too... well anywho, sometimes that switch is partially broken... I recommend hooking a multi-meter to the wires that hook the multi-switch up and test all the functions of the switch... but I guarantee if you put a new multi-switch on the car that your hazards lights will function properly... I also recommend buying the part through an after-market company because it is cheaper...
