Car Stalling Problems

Bad spark plug, plug wire or both. Also burnt valve, blown head gasket, or severely worn rings. A defective intake manifold gasket is another possibility.

i have a 2000 ford expedition, min did the same thing....twice. first time had a bad O2 sensor replaced that ran fine. second time was plugs Would help to know make and model of vehicle. But the most likely cause is an engine miss due to a bad plug wire or plug or a dead cylinder [no compression]. Other causes could be a vacuum leak or the fuel/air mixture may be way off. The engine is still missing at higher speeds you just don't notice it as the higher engine speed simply covers it up. This is why engine misses are usually diagnosed only at idle or under load while the vehicle is stationary. bestalucktoyou Check passenger side motor mount. A bad one will make the car vibrate at idle. The car very much may be out of time. At higher engine speeds you will not notice it. If you recently had the timing belt done or your timing belt jumped, would cause this. But first try a tune up.

You might want to check your fuel line filter, vacuum hoses, EGR valve, ECT, air filter, spark plugs and wires. These are the most common parts that would cause that type of problem. If the "check engine" light is on, take to the nearest autozone and they can they tell you exactly what is wrong..

Could be many things. But some things to check/replace might be...

-fuel filter

-fuel pressure

-TPS

-IAC

Have fuel filter or fuel injector checked..

your tcc could be faulty, assuming its an auto. faulty neutral switch maybe

call frigidaire. they will tell you.

You need to look underneath at the pump and find out why. The pump may be jammed (I have seen pumps with things like toothpicks jamming them) -It may have failed altogether, or the screen on the bottom of the interior of the machine could be clogged up with food debris. They are fairly simple machines and most handymen are capable of repairing them.

Could be a faulty TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) solenoid. Remove the TCC fuse and see if the problem goes away.

Most likely a partially plugged catalytic converter Or engine misfire Is the check engine light on?? If not have your exhaust backpressure checked

If you have not replace the spark plugs and plug wires then you may need to replace them. Your check engine light should be on if that is the problem. You may also have a vacuum leak so check all vacuum hoses.

I've had the same problem. mine was fixed with a couple different steps. 1. Take to ford dealership have them change out fuel pump for free under recall. 2. change the fuel filter myself. 3. change out PCV hose and PCV valve. 4. clean throttle body. 5. use electronic cleaner to clean out MAF sensor. 6. change air filter. This made a huge difference in my car and hopefully helps you

My 1996 Pathfinder would start and idle fine but when the accelerator was pushed down the engine would stall and surge (at about 2000 RPM). The problem was a broken wire on the connector to the air flow mass sensor. When the connector was removed entirely the engine failed in the same way. The left most wire was the one broken of three wires, when I repaired this connection all was good. This connector carries both air intake volume info and air temperature info.

Theres alot of things that could be the problem.. first ...check the plugs and wires making sure they are at proper gap 0.35...and making sure the wires are pushed all the way down into the cap ,next replace the fuel filter because they don"t last forever ,if the problem is still there.. check the coil.. sometimes they could lose fluid giving them a weird spark, timing could be a problem as well or another weird twist the alternator

could have died to check that just disconnect the pos battery terminal while the engine is running if the car shuts off theres your answer

This could be caused by a million things. The key to finding out what is causing this is to read the code out of the OBD port. If it's a '97 or newer car, take it to Auto Zone and they will read the code out and advise you what to do next. Call them first to see if they read codes for free, I think they do. If it is older than a '97, search the web for instructions on how to short the contacts of the port to read the code.

Make sure you are not latching it into the buckle for the middle seat belt.

Depends on the make/model/year of the vehicle

motor mount? I suspect you have a broken motor mount.

An ignition miss would occure at those times. Especially at 50-55 mph, I would suspect secondary ignition components... Plugs, wires, etc...

The cause for a 1991 Ford Taurus to just cut off while driving is probably a problem with the computer. If the car will start again after about 90 minutes, then check the computer module for code errors.

Looks like the center piece of the steering wheel pops out and the air bag pops.

it may have over heated if u heard any odd sounds while driving a belt could have snaped check all your ext belts atl and serpentine if it is not those it could be a timing belt
