How do you start your Mazda rx8 after it has been flooded?
Just an additional note, you should disconnect the 2 pin plug from near to the Left hand strut turret "as your looking at it with the bonnet open", if you do not do this unburnt fuel may damage the catalyst in the exhaust, plug back in when it has started and warmed up.
Unfortunately this happens on other vehicles not just Mazda's, the modern car will in most cases overfuel to start when cold, it would then expect to be driven more than 10ft out of the garage, hence the excess fuel is not burnt off, and washes the bores causing low compression and non start, it happens a lot on Vauxhalls as well and other vehicles.
So if you don't want big bills, then run the car as it should be driven not 10ft then stop and lock the garage.
I replace the head gaskets on my 1979 Chevy pickup 350 engine and now the truck wont start?

Your 1998 jeep Cherokee will turn over but wont start and the gas gauge and volt gauge not working?
unplug your crank sensor and see if your gauges start to work some of the time the crank sensor will short and cause a lot of problems if the gauges start to work replace the crank sensor if not look at the 3 wire sensors map tps and o2 sensors one of these vould be the problem also but when you unplug the sensor cycle the key off then on and give it a second and see if your gauges come back if they do mostlikely the last sensor you unpluged is the problem
What should you do if your 1990 Dodge Ram won't start?
Check battery voltage (14.4), check starter solenoid, check battery cable condition, check battery terminal condition, check plug wire condition
Where is the starter located on a Hyundai Elantra 1996?

If a 1997 Isuzu Trooper will not start and makes no attempt to turn over is this a bad starter?
It could be the starter, battery, battery terminals, neutral lockout switch, keyswitch, bad wire or a poor connection somewhere. Don't just replace parts without knowing which parts are faulty.
1. Check the battery terminals, clean them, twist around the connectors to the battery posts. If they are loose, remove them, clean the terminals and then tighten them down.
2. Try to start it.
3. If it doesn't, I would not hunt for a poor connection yet. Take a hammer and use the butt of it (not the head) to knock on the side of the starter. Then try to restart. This can sometimes shake up the metal brushes inside the starter and make it start. If that works, it's your starter. It cost me about 250 for my 1990 w/a rebuilt starter.
4. Previous post is correct. Don't change more than any one thing at a time. Then try to start. Proceed accordingly.

Why does a 1995 Nissan pathfinder click but wont start everytime?
After along time waiting we got the answer there was a security key switch added to the vehicle which was hooked to the key switch so this was cutting the volts down from 11.7 to about 5 volts so there was not enough power getting to the starter.
It is possible that when you set the timing marks, or installed the distributor, the engine was not set to TDC (top dead center on the compression stroke of the #1 piston) and the timing is 180 degrees off.
1999 eclipse spyder gs 2.4 wont start but turns over?
pull your negative cable off for 15 min to reset your ecu. that might work
Check your Crankshaft position sensor. Located on the right of the crankshaft. Probably got damaged when belt broke.
Where is the starter located in the engine area?
Depends on the vehicle. It is located in the area between the engine and the transmission on one side or the other.
What causes a clicking sound when you try to start the car?
If it does it when you turn the key and the engine does not turn over, it is a weak battery or possibly a loose connection on the cables.

How do you bleed the cooling system on a 2000 Volkswagen beetle with a 2.0 engine?
If you mean "flush" , remove the thermostat, several parts stores sell a flush liquid that you run for 5-10 minutes, all have directions on the package, drain completely, refill with coolant and water after installing a new thermostat and depending on the miles on the car, replace the water pump as well....Tom T & G Columbus Ms 662-327-5895 If you mean "flush" , remove the thermostat, several parts stores sell a flush liquid that you run for 5-10 minutes, all have directions on the package, drain completely, refill with coolant and water after installing a new thermostat and depending on the miles on the car, replace the water pump as well....Tom T & G Columbus Ms 662-327-5895

Where is starter on Nissan Sentra?
the starter is connected to the bellhousing (the part of the transmission that connects to the engine) and sits above the tranny but on the fire wall side.
October 2007. This answer is incomplete. The bolt heads to unbolt the starter on the Sentra are located on the left side of the engine under the air cleaner and air inlet housing to the fuel injector intake. These housings must be removed to access the bolts heads, and then the starter is taken out from under the car on the right back side of the engine. The hardest part is disassembly of the intake housing to get to the bolt heads for starter removal.
Turn to start but nothing happens in 1986 Volvo 240 automatic?
This sounds like the starter is not getting +12vdc start voltage from Key switch.
A connection wire travels from key switch-----yellow /blue----- to the Park/ Neutral switch-- yellow/blue--- to starter.
My experience is: AUTOMATIC Shifter lever looses tracking pin.
(The starter is disabled when not in in park or neutral)
I once bumped my shifter with my foot when moving over the seats and the car would not start again.
Remove two screws from front of plastic shifter cover and slide it up and to the rear. If the switch is not moving and tracking the level movement you found your problem.
Two screws on the right side of the switch hold it in place. MARK THE SCREW POSITIONS before you loosen them. With Screws loose you can move the pin back into slot on lever.
If my Engine cranks and i got spark good compression why won't your truck start?
You forgot fuel make sure you have fuel pumping to carb or injectors which ever you have.
Your car only clicks once when you try to start engine?
A single click and no response from the starter usually indicates a faulty starter relay/solenoid switch. It could also be a loose connection on the battery cable.
