Put key in ignition then push down on the mileage reset and hold it down then whilst holding it down turn ignition round till only ignition lights come on. The spanner or service light will either start flashing or do a count down when it stops that's it reset for its next service in miles then turn ignition off and release the mileage trip. Start engine and light should be off as its reset. I have just saved you money from going to a dealership.

That's not a valid code. 9141 is the standard for the obd system that Saab uses, someones scanner was on the wrong setting or not compatible. Have it read again.

That is just an OBD-2 protocol not a code. It tells you what engine it has. 9141-2 is 148 h.p. gasoline engine.

Disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery for 2 minutes will reset the check engine light, but if the problem that caused it to turn on originally still exists, it will come on again.

The check engine light sets a code for diagnostics and you need a code reader. Most auto parts stores sell code readers and most will check the codes for free.

This P1153 code concerns the AF sensor (sometimes called an oxygen sensor) that is screwed into the exhaust coming from bank 2, the bank of three cylinders on the LH side of the engine (side facing the radiator.). Note that when ordering this part from a dealership, have the VIN ready and if ordering from aftermarket parts supplier in the US you should first read your emissions label and note whether or not the van meets California emissions standards.

you will need to take it to a shop and have them delete the code that your car has set. also if you have them delete it you can have them tell you what the problem was and you can fix it so that it does not come back on

Depends on the year. If OBD-II you can reset the light. However, you should determine the problem first so the computer does not throw the code again.

If the Check Engine light came back on after you repaired the problem and then reset the light, you just thought you repaired the problem. You still have a fault. Now if you mean the light is on after repairing the problem and you have not reset the light, then you must reset the light in order for it to stay off. On pre 1996 vehicles you can reset it by disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes. On post 1995 vehicles this may or may not work. Otherwise you will need an OBD 2 scan tool to reset the light.

just a quick note: bank 2 is LEFT side (drivers) on a rear wheel drive vehicle ,on front wheel drive vehicles it would be the front side when looking down from the front of the vehicle ,Sensor 2 is after the cat converter! if you replace that sensor, clear the codes or have someone clear them for you and you should be all set

the 2 of bank 2 is the 2nd oxygen sensor that is located after the catalytic converter.usually closer to the tailend of the header pipe.

The sensor I believe you are looking for is in the exhaust pipe or exhaust manifold, usually the right bank which is on the right side of the car (driver is left), or close to the firewall if engine is mounted sideways. Some cars are equipped with a sensor behind the catalytic converter that tells the computer the HEALTH of the converter only. It has nothing to do with running of the engine per say.

Bank 1 is which ever side has cylinder 1. It could be left or right. Bank 2 would be the other side. Bank 1 sensor 1 would be before the catalytic converter. Bank 1 sensor 2 would be after the converter. The same applies with bank 2.

I'm not sure, but my wifes 2000 Venture had that problem and it was the speed sensors on the front wheels. If the ECM can't determine wheel speed it can't sense wheel spin (a difference between the two drive wheels) therefore it shuts down the anti-lock brakes which is how it stops spinning, (it uses the brakes to stop the spinning). Maybe this is your problem, hope I helped.

There are pages and pages of things that can cause a check engine light. You need to have it checked with a scantool. Then the code can be diagnosed and repaired.

Unfortunately it could be one of many problems. Check your spark plugs and make sure they are not foul or worn to a disasterous point (do this first as it it least costly). Your timing belt could need adjusting. It could even be your battery or alternator (free battery and alternator checks at most auto parts stores - some will do it without you having to remove them - some won't). There are more possibilities but this is a good start!

Find out what's wrong with the engine. Use a code scanner to find out what diagnostic codes have been stored. That should give you an idea what's wrong, then fix the problem and the light should go out.

Go to a qualified mechanic and have him scan the computer Youve got a misfire and probably need a tune up **It may be time for the spark plugs and wired to be replaced.

the 02 sencers are in the pipe, if there is a problem with them it would cause the check engine light to come on but the pipes themselves wouldn't

disconect negative battery cable,it is located under rear seat,but if some thing is wrong it will reappear in no time,if you have a obd handheld scanner you can diagnose the problem and also turn it off,they run anywhere from 160.00 to 220.00

try pushing the od button for the speedomator then turn the key all the way forward but don't start the car.wait for the mainenance light to go out. then turn the key off and remove it.

It can but the Battery light should be on. Check with a digital multimeter what the voltage is at the battery, If its 13-14 volts with the car running the alternator is probably o/k
