Remove the dash panel below the sterring wheel (pop out fasteners). Drop the steering colum mount closest to the wheel and the retaining bolt half way down the column then lower the column. Unscrew the four bolts holding the dash in and gently pull the cluster away from the dash. The flexible circuit board will need to be re bent out to ensure proper contact upon reinstallation. if your blower motor is not properly working it is most likely your blower motor resistor. it is located next to the blower motor which can be found by looking through your glove compartment. 17.99 at your local autozone

The white illumination lights went out on my dash about 4 months ago, I have been researching, looking on forums, got a manual, researched how to take dash apart. When I read the diagram and found out there were 8 of these lights, I thought it was impossible that all eight blew at the same time. It was a 20 amp yellow fuse , second row, marked ext lp in the book. New fuse today, now i have dashboard illimination lights. Boy am i happy. The lights by the radio and the heating and cooling controls were out too. They work too. Debi

Check the driver's side under the dash. There should be a box there with the fuses in it.

The fuse box is found in the engine bay, on the passenger side right-up near the windscreen.

You CAREFULLY! take the wood trim off the dash there will be 4 or 5 7mm screws that need to come out then lift the front of the dash and pull out!

Should be similar to the '77 I have. You will have to remove the instrument panel, the A/C heater contols and the radio. May have to remove the glove box and it's door for access. There are several screws at the top between the dash pad and the window that hold the top of the dash. On each side behind the dash are bolts (I only had one on each side) that need to be removed. I also had a trim panel under the steering column that had to be removed. All the ducts need to be removed from the vents. By the way the dash pad on mine was glued on.

That is not a easy task! I think I started at the glove-box and removed any screws or bolts that I could find at the bottom, keep looking for them inside ash-tray will be some, under vents, under steering wheel, and keep looking they are everywhere!!

On the top of the dash there is the little strip. Mine hase two little speakers on each side. You can just lift up on the strip its just held down with some clips. under there are some bolts that hold down the top part of the dash. so that's about as far as I went. All I had to do was take out the radio to install some speakes and an amp. I installed a hi/low adapter for the amp. So there is a little screw in the little box. You remove that screw pop out the little tray. then you can pull out the rest of the trim around the radio. snaps hold that in as well. there are 4 screws that hold the radio in. remove those and then there you go. you can access the radio harness from there. now this was tha hrd part for me I had to go to a local sterio store to get a conversion after market harness to match up the the original one in the jeep. after matching the harnes up the color code is like this:

Blue/White- Rear Right +Blue/Orange- Rear Right -

Blue/Grey-Rear Left -Brown/Yellow-Rear Left +

Purple (solid)-Front Right +Blue/Red- Front Right -

Brown/Red Front Left -Green (solid) +

The ones above are clustered together one one side. There is some blank spaces between the left and right bunches.

Orange-IlluminationGreen-Power Ant.Red/Orange- 12 volt PowerPink(there is 2 of them doesnt mater which one)- Memory

Just find sam1174 on youtube (xk8 instrument cluster bulb replacement) - he has videos of removal of centre panel and instrument cluster area. The passenger side comes off much the same way revealing two bolts that hold the bag (and stop it hitting you in the face ;).

Briefly : (driver side) raise the steering wheel and undo the bolts on the lower bolster (x2). Remover the bolster, disconnecting the valet and temp sensor switches as you go (x2). Lower the wheel and disconnect battery (neg. terminal), remove 2 lower screws, then pull out and down to remove the wood trim.

Centre section: use a trim remover to lever out the bottom edge, the raise the whole section slightly and pull out at the top - should be held at an angle as the tabs at the top are angled upwards into the dash top.

Air ducts at the sides are just pulled off.

depending on your vehicle, it could be the engine timing. when the vehicle is parked and running open the hood and look at the motor, if its shaking alot, its usually timing.

Generally the airbag icon being illuminated tells you that the system has detected a fault and is no longer operational. This means that the airbags may fail to deploy should the need arise. Take the unit to a dealer for repair. Don't play with the airbag system yourself...

You can't go back once it's been upgraded. It's quite unfortunate since new reports are suggesting the new XBox dashboard is what is causing the E74 errors and why Microsoft has extended the warranties for the E74 error. Either way, if you could go back, the upgrade is automatic so you'd never be able to go online without doing it. It's impossible. Trust me, I've tried.

Pull on the plastic peice that is closest to you and it should pop off so you can get your sterio out, Right?

Drop the glovebox door and you will have access to it.

It means there are problems in the engine and in trans or drive shaft. Take it for a analysis at your agency.

Since most of the time the body kit bolts on but does not fit correctly you must make it fit. Most people use fiberglass and build up the areas that need to be filled. Once you build it up so that there are no gaps in the seams or very little gap then your done. You must get fiberglass sheet resin and hardener after applying let it dry and sand. if you dont sand and add on top of an uneven surface it will build up uneven the dry time depends on the temp and how much hardener is applied i usually just let it dry overnight since i work at night.

In most cases it has something to do with central locking or a key code on the ignition.

Big job. I would suggest purchasing a shop manual to help guide you.

The Engine Warning Light means that there is an error being registered from one of the many sensors on the modern Golf, though your Car performance may not be directly affected. Best bet is to take it to a Garage with a Diagnostic Machine. They will be able to tell you exactly which sensor is the culprit.

there are 2 screws on right under the fan controls. unscrew them. then you can pull of the entire piece that surrounds the CD player/fan control/radio. pull it from the bottom. then pull the piece off that is on top of the clock. pull towards you. there will be 2 screws exposed that will allow you to unscrew the clock. ive got an 02 eclipse but i don't think its any different. hope that helped

To Take off the dashboard all you have to do is unscrew it with the screwdriver that looks like this * it's not a X it's for the inside of a car, that will help u unscrew it then just pull on it till it comes off. there will be about 8-9 that u have to take off and when pulling on the dashboard dont be afrade to pull a little it wont be a walk in the park to get off.
