What is the degree for timing on a 1999 dodge durango 318 Chrysler engine?
It is set to zero degrees with a scan tool. It can not be done with a timing light.
check the vaccum lines to the blend door and make sure that the heater core is not clogged 2001 Dakota- resistors in mine have burned out 3 times - check the wiriing harness under the dash near the fan and see if it's smoked. Dealership has no clue why this would happen. If I don't run the fan on HI it's not a problem.
How do you replace the oil pump on a 1999 Dodge Durango?
Take it to a shop. If its a 4x4 you have to drop the exhaust and the transmission brackets and front 4x4 differentials. This is not an at home job for someone with out the proper equipment or knowledge. Don't think your buddy that workson car's can help you this is a serious job even the Dodge garage complains how difficult it is for a 50 dollar item. Trust me I am on my 4th one it is a pain in the reaer.

How do you change an ignition lock cylinder on a 1989 Honda CRX HF?
All recent models of Honda use the same ignition lock removal procedure.
Remove the screws holding the steering column clam-shell together and to the column. (Phillips heads from the bottom)
Carefully pry the upper and lower halves from one another.
You should now be able to see the ignition lock easily.
Remove the black or white plastic cover that covers the headless bolts that secure the lock to the column; usually on the top or the left side of the steering shaft.
Honda uses break-away bolts on this in order to make stealing the car by breaking the steering lock away more difficult. You can purchase those bolts from you local Honda dealer, or you can use an Allen (hex key) head bolt. You might need to shave down the outer edge of any new bolt to fit inside the hole on the collar.
To get the headless bolts out, the simplest method is to use a small (1/4 inch or so) cold chisel and a small hammer. Catch a side point of the chisel into the top of the bolt and tap it around in the normal removal fashion (counter clockwise).
A second option is to hammer the chisel directly into the head of the headless bolt, and create a slot for a standard (flat) screwdriver.
Either method works, and your choice may be limited by the space you are working in.
Once you have those two bolts out, you can remove the lock from the column.
When re-installing a new lock, make sure you position the lock on the column properly, there is one place it will fit flush, and that is the place it needs to be BEFORE you start tightening the bolts.
How do you tighten the ac belt on a 2001 montero sport 3.0?
It has a serpentine belt with a built in tensioner. You can't tighten it. If it is loose, it needs replacing or the idler pulley is defective, or both.
Where do you add transmission oil on a 1988 Acura Legend 5 speed?
There is a plug on the side of the transmission and you will need a funal with a long hose. Do not put transmission fluid in the trans. I believe that they use 30 weight oil for these cars. Be sure to check with your local auto parts store.

Where is the transmission control relay located on a 1997 Chrysler Sebring?
everyone should have a manual for their vehicle, and the library should have a professional shop manual available in the REFERENCE section...make copies of the right sections...good luck :)
How do you replace the power steering pump on a 2000 Dodge Durango?
first you must remove the belt using a 15mm and breaker bar on the tensioner. drain all of the fluid out of the reservoir. i have used a shop vac and a tube long enough to reach the bottom of the reservoir to drain the fluid out. then you must loosen both of the lines attached to the pump. once you have removed both lines, then go back to the front of the pump and remove the 3 bolts holding the pump against the motor. pull the pump out through the bottom of the truck and then repeat steps starting with last one first to replace. use atf+4 to fill reservoir.
Where is the low side service port on the AC line on a 2002 Explorer V6?
The low pressure service port is on top of the accumulator (the bottle) located on the passenger side of the engine compartment. It is next to the wiper fluid fill bottle near the grille. It is the SMALLER of the A/C service ports. The high port is on the driver's side. It has a big valve on a smaller diameter line. If you are filling with 134A you MUST fill at the low port...the one on the accumulator (bottle).
What causes overheating in a 2004 Dodge Durango?
Check the following after the usual fluid and belt condition/tension checks:
1. Fan clutch may have died, or be dying. It is filled with a silicon oil and should lock or get very stiff when the engine is hot. After warm-up, turn off the engine. If the fan spins a bit clutch is bad. If it doesn't severely resist turning by hand it is likely bad. If it has over 100k on it it is likely time to replace it. If the electric fan runs often under normal conditions it is bad. Hayes makes a good replacement. When I changed mine I increased miliage by 1.2 mpg because at cold start it takes a while to distribute the oil inside the clutch, and a new one does that better and faster. BTW - That is why the engine roars so much when first started and shortly gets quiet.
2. If overheating under heavy load shift out of overdrive, or downshift as operators manual instructs, and slow down some. Use the tachometer to avoid running at too low or too high an RPM. Turn off air-conditioner under heavy hot loading.
3. Keep the fins on the front of the radiator free of debris like bugs and dirt. CAREFULLY straighten severely bent fins to promote airflow.
4. If you find yourself in an overheating situation and are pretty sure that it isn't a severe mechanical fault, then try turning on the heater(s) with all of the windows open. The heater cores are small radiators, and more fluid is now running through the system. Of course, the air-conditioner is off already. This trick got my wife and 12 year old son safely to Mammoth up a steep grade - he thought of it!
5. If this condition continues after these issues resolved there is likely a mechanical fault that needs a professional mechanic- like water pump, clogged radiator, failing hoses (hard to tell how bad they are inside of the hose!), head gasket leak, timing, spark plugs, or other such fault with emissions systems (although these will likely give a "check engine" warning), and poor fuel.
How hard is it to replace right front wheel bearing on 2002 dodge Dakota?
Its easy....I just did mine on a 2000 Dodge Dakota Quad 2wd rear ABS, 4.7 Magnum
Here's how
1. The bearings in models 2000 and up are not servicable, meaning you must replace the entire hub...depending on where you buy, will determine the cost. (Range from $80 - $180 per hub/bearing.
2. Jack the vehicle up, remove tire. Remove caliper, and caliper retainer clip, slide caliper out of the way by hanging with wire or placing on top. ***Do not disconnect brake fluid line from caliper***
3. Remove rotor. It should just slide off.
4. Ensure you have replacement part before proceeding. Remove the spindle nut (Size may vary from model to model year, mine needed a 36mm socket)The hub should slide off without any difficulty.
5. Clean the spindle with a rag and replace with the new hub/bearing. replace with a new nut (Do not use old nut) and tighten to 160 - 180 ft lbs, spinning the hub as you tighten to ensure you fully seat the hub. That's it...easy
6. Replace everything else in reverse order.
fuse box is also under the hood, some fuses are large,,black cover on it
How do you reset the security system on a 2003 Doge Ram 1500 SLT?
Not 100% sure about a 2003, but on a 1998 you reset the security system by locking and unlocking the doors from the outside with you remote key fob. Hope that helps.
Door panel removal dodge ram 2003?
I am going to believe you are refering to the front door panels(unsure about quad cab or not). It is just like my 2002 Quad cab. There are 2 small Phillips screws under the bottom edge of the panel, remove them. Then remove door handle with a TORX bit, unsure of the size. Then there are 2 more screws, one behind the door handle and one on the plastic triangle panel attached to the top of the door panel, covering the mirror bolts. Remove these. Then grab the door panel by the handle and lift about 3 inches, push the door lock out of the way, lean it towards you and disconnect any power door/window wiring harnesses.
