the abs/asc (automatic speed control) fuse in the driver kick panel.it is 5 amp fuse third one down from top.works abs & speed control (cruise).this is my guess but not totally sure.

I checked all the fuses on mine; all were good. I removed 3 - 5/16" nuts & removed engine cover (top). Found the end of the cruise control cable connector (cheap plastic) had worn through, letting it separate from the throttle stub it connects to. (No cable hooked up?, cruise won't work) I put the connector back on the throttle knob, drilled a small hole in the end of the plastic connector & dropped in a small clip pin (a small cotter pin will work too) in to lock the plastic piece & prevent it from sliding off during acceleration. This in no way affected linkage, etc. & holds the cruise cable connector to the throttle where it belongs. Check this, it's easy to find, & might save you the $40 for a new cruise cable. I have pictures if you need the fix. Good Luck

An air bag problem is not a DIY repair. Injury can accur if you attempt to repair yourself, or the system may become non-functional. Take it to a professional. I could not agree more with what was already answered here. As professional myself, have even had a recent episode with an airbag system. While replacing an airbag control module on a 2005 Explorer, the new control module was defective right out of the box. I did not know it was defective, and when I reactivated the system, the airbag light came on. When I used the scan tool to try and scan the module to find out why the light was on, all the air bags deployed! I nearly came out of my pants! I couldn't catch my breath for several minutes! I am thnkful that I was crouched down on the vehicle floor near the console at the time, or I may not still be around. That was an event I will never forget! I got on the phone to Ford, and they told me that I wasn't the first to have that happen! They told me that sometimes a faulty airbag control module will set off the airbags for no reason. Now I will tell you what 51 means, so that you know when the shop is telling you right. It means that the internal fuse link inside of the air bag control module is blown. You could have a short somewhere in the air bag deployment (or firing) circuit that caused it. The internal fuse is not replaceable, so at the very least, you will need a module, but the system needs to be checked for a possible short in the air bag deployment circuit. Please do not mess with this yourself. Especially this problem! Checking the airbag system requires deactivation of the airbag system, and special airbag simulators installed in place of the airbags themselves. Messing with the deployment circuit especially, can cause death. If the air bag deploys while your head is level with the steering wheel, your neck can be easly broken. An airbag fully inflates, and starts to deflate in less than 4 milliseconds. That is 4 one-thousanths of a second! That is too fast for anyone to get out of the way, and it will injure you.

You need to re-bore the existing holes or drill new holes. :) Simplest solution: Use self-threading screws slightly larger than the original screws.

Look up under your dash where the brake pedal is attached, you will see a switch that makes the brake lights turn on when you step on the pedal and off when you leave off the pedal. The switch is probably stuck. In the meantime you could disconnect the negative battery cable so your battery doesn't die.

A fuel leak that you havent detected yet maybe try this I had this prob w/ my 95 Cherokee after having everything else checked out .... I replaced the gas cap, a 5$ fix, o-ring was worn and allowed fumes to leak out causing smell....hope that helps

Absolutely it can! What is happening is when the transmission is trying to unlock the torque converter and downshift to a stop, it isn't coming unlocked, and thus the engine is still locked to the wheels, like not pushing the clutch on a manual. You can avoid this hopefully by putting the transmission into neutral when coming to a stop, or try tapping the gas when the shaking starts to see if you can force it unlocked. See your Jeep or local auto shop to have them look at it. They may possibly need to replace the entire torque converter. . (This is from personal experience with the 32RH Transmission in a 99 Jeep Wrangler)
