Take off door handle which has 2 rods connected to it, one for lock and the other for door opening. They slide in and are held in place with a plastic clamp that spins( dont break it as the rods will not stay in on their own). A couple of screws here and there 2 in the door pull handle, and on the bottom of the panel. The panel has to be slid up about a inch or 2 then pulled off. The top of the panel has to clear the lip at the top where it fits into the door next to the window.

on My 1984 LeSabre, I found that there is a tab near where the wiper arm mounts to the pivot. If you bent the wiper arm back and pull the tab out with a pliers your can then remove the wiper arm. After you put the new one one you have push the tab back in. It has to go far enough in for the spring to be able to pull the wiper against the window.

Hi, the fusible link is attached directly to the positive battery terminal. The inertia switch I'll still look for. Hi again, From all I've been able to see and find, it looks as if the inertia switch is also called the rollover switch, is located on or at the fuel pump but looks as if it's part of the foel pump assy which mmakes sense if we think about it. If the car has an accident the fuel needs to be stopped and the inertia or rollover switch would do this. I hope this helps and if you need to remove the fuel tank, it's a little work but doable just need a good jack and a couple of jackstands and a bunch of tools or better still...a good friend with a garage because it's a pain job. By the way, if I'm wrong I hope someone lets me know and if I'm right I hope we are all llet know. Thanks for considering.

THE DOOR CODE IS ON THE COMPUTER ( IT IS A 5 DIDGET CODE) IT IS UNDERNEATH THE DASH ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. YOU GOING TO HAVE TO GET ON YOU BACK ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AND LOOK UP BEHIND THE PANNEL IT IS EAITHER A CREAM COLERD BOX OR A BLACK BOX NEXT TO THE BREAK PEDDLE THE FACTORY CODE IS ON A 4INCH STICKER ON THE COMPUTER. YOU DONT HAVE TO PULL IT OUT YUO SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE IT VERY CLEARLY WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM A FLASHLIGHT:)

I own a 2002 XL-7 and the low pressure side is located behind the front grill, next to the right headlight.

I have finally fixed my stalling problem in my 2003 ford expedition and wanted to share the repair with you, first of all for the safety of our families, and the cost of everything the mechanics think is wrong (even most ford mechanics are not aware of this fix) I have been lucky and never did the coil packs, fuel pump and new throttle body and valve. I did waste money on the camshaft sensor and IAC control valve; I did keep the old one so I have a back up if I need it in the future. I didn't try the high octane fuel fix because I heard of this year throwing spark plugs which are big bucks to repair. Putting on this part and looking at the old one makes me think I didn't even need a new one, but didn't know what to expect when I bought it. The bracket connects the alternator to the positive terminal on your battery. If you start at the battery + terminal it has 2 red wires coming out of it. They are both usually red and about the same thickness. One of them goes into a long black rectangle clip that says "fusable Link" or something like that. Then comes out the other side and goes to the alternator. Past the fusable link box there will be 2 wires that split off of this wire. If you are in front of the truck one wire runs towards you and is pretty short. It plugs into another wire. The second wire is longer and it runs away from you THIS IS the wire you need to follow. It runs back towards the battery into a plug under it. Follow this wire from where it comes off of the big wire. You will find it resting on a silver/aluminum tube (its an AC pipe) Flip the wire over where it is touching this pipe, you will find the wire is rubbed down to the bare metal!!! It is randomly shorting out your engine and you will STALL. If I didn't by the part I would try to tape it up, tape the pipe it rests on as well or get some foam tubing for the pipe, if the wires are too worn, looks like you could always use a wire nut.

There can be many reasons why the heated seats in a car stopped working. A few reasons are, the fuse could be blow, the wiring could be out, the switch could be broken, or it is not getting enough electricity.

The fuses and relays section starts on page 128 , it has the diagrams and lists

pull the whole light down from the head liner (it is just held on by 2 clips it will not break )then you pull the light itself from the holder change it and reinstall the complete light assy. to the head liner

Open top storage compartment,pull towards you removing it, Screws now visable also remove trim by pulling either side of, (above ashtray)

The manual transaxle ( transmission ) on your Ford Escape does not have a

fluid level dipstick like the automatic would normally have

( it is probably checked at the FILL PLUG on your transmission , underneath the vehicle )

It is a small black retangular box located above the fuses on the fuse panel

On the drivers door panel should be 3 push buttons. Once you have the seat and exterior mirrors in the desired position, press the "S" and then "1". The same can be done for a second driver, simply by pressing the "S" then "2". On the first 93 New Yorker we owned, you could even program a third position by pressing the "S" and then the 1 & 2 together at the same time. Our current New Yorker does not allow the third preset.

Chances are you have a rock(S) stuck in your rear tire tread. pry it out.

check wheel balance, check for tire seperation, and/or bent rims. check cv axles, check for loose or broken front end parts.

The arms are held in place by a plastic gear..it is broken

If your problem is squeaking from the front of the car this is coming from the front suspension and proberbly the transverse arms. This is the first stage of the problem and is repairable without any major costs. The problem occurs when the MOS2 Molybdendisulfid grease in the balljoints start to dry out. This is repaird by removing the 4 tranverse arms and the C-link on both sides of the car and overhauling the gaiter covered balljoints. Carefulle remove all grease in baljoint and in gaiter and generously replace with new. Be careful when removing and mounting retaining springs. I have done this on my Passat 98 1.8T and it really works. My problem ocurred after 75000 km. This overhaul can NOT be done according to VW. The nest stage with this problem is instead a crunching noise from the same mechanics and it is a costly problem because one or more ball joints are damaged and worn out beyond repair. Now one ore more transverse arms or complete kit has to be replaced. Cost, ~$1000 for kit only. Can also be found on the internet in Germany for ~Euro 350. Regards Bo L
