You can not just change the ball joint , you have to replace the whole lower control arm with ball joint.

Be more specific, Are you talking about the transfer case, transmission, or front differential?

Bare with me because I am trying to remember this from memory. If you open your trunk and look on the inside next to the light being replaced, you should see three black protectors which probably appear to hold up the trunk carpeting interior. Remove these protectors and pull back the carpeting (held on by velcro attachments). You should now see three bolts with retaining nuts. Remove the nuts with a deep 10mm socket and pull the light from the body from the outside of the car. After the light is out, you will see three light sockets. The brake light should be the most inner light. Twist the socket towards the left and the light should easily come out. Remove the bulb and replace it with the exact same bulb. The bulb has two filaments, one for the park lights and the other for the brake lights. After you've replaced the bulb, installation is the reverse of removal.

Some Astro models have a switch on the door panel, right next to the window swithes that is a child-lock system for the rear doors. Look closely at the power window switch panel. If there is a rocker switch - the kind where one side comes up when you press the other side down - that has a little picture of a lock on it. Sounds like your problem. Good luck - RG open the speaker cover and remove speaker (if riveted, drill out rivet) reach inside and pull down on latch rod. reinstall speakers with screws. I had small plastic retainer that held rod to actuator break. Only one side would release. Dealer removed rear window trim, put rod back and replaced clip. This was on the "Hatch door" on model with Dutch doors. This sounds like your problem. To remove window trim, the pull handle on the inside must be removed first, then some of the screws along bottom and sides. Not necessary to remove completely if you are careful. Pull out trim so you can see down to actuator and rehook rod/replace clip.

Remove the two screws along the inside edge and remove the tail light assembly. There is a diagram and directions in the owners manual in your glove box. Phillips head screw driver needed.

to disable the anti-theft system you hit the window with a tire tool then un bolt the battery then bolt it back it will be disabled P.S. Don't seal cars...... more so ones that are more than your house!!

H how long does it take for a mechanic to change a ingnition switch.

There are 2 armrest pads on the left door panel- the smaller armrest to the rear and one towards the front which contains the master window and door lock switch. It contains 6 toggle switches for the 4 windows, the master door lock switch, and the lock out for the other 3 windows.

Pull the smaller rear armrest from the end towards the rear of the car up until the clip releases. Then pull it back so the front tang releases. Then pull the front of the front armrest with the master switch up until the clip releases and then forward to release the rear tang. You can then release the electrical connector from the underside of the master switch. If you want to remove the switch from the pad, there are 4 Phillips screws on the underside.

The spark plug firing order is 1 - 4 - 2 - 5 - 3 - 6

The engine cylinders / spark plugs are numbered :

FIREWALL

3 - 6

2 - 5

1 - 4

FRONT

The COIL PACK TOWERS are numbered :

coil----3---4

pack---2---6

plug----1---5

On a 2002 Ford Explorer , 4.0 liter Single Over Head Cam , V6 engine

I've always been able to find wiring diagrams in the back section of my do-it-at-home Hayne's manual bought from a local auto parts store. Maybe in the back of Chilton's version. They are under $20 and come in handy all of the time.

Drum brake? Could indicate a build up of excessive dust in drums -remove drum and clean

Disc brake? wear indicators are letting you know it is time for replacement pads.

Could also be a sign of cracked or glazed brake pads/shoes.

Have your brakes inspected soon.

Then you figure out why and repair it accordingly. Check the bulb. If that checks out, take a test light and see if you have power to it when the brake pedal is depressed. If you don't, then you probably have a wiring fault somewhere between where the wiring for the CHMSL splits off from the wiring for the other brake lights and the CHMSL itself.

In my case, it goes bad and costs about $335 to have my Honda delear replace it !!!!

The spark plug firing order on the 4.0 L OHV engine is : 1-4-2-5-3-6 The COIL PACK TOWERS are numbered : coil---3---4 pack--2---6 plug---1---5 The engine cylinders / spark plugs are numbered : firewall 3- 6 2 - 5 1 - 4 front of engine

You have to take the door panel off and check the latch attachment, go to any auto parts store to show step by step instructions.

this is a gm brake code 5 for Kelsey-Hayes RWAL (rear wheel antilock) 2 wheel trucks may have a failure of the isolation dump valve assembly, the shunt to relieve pressure so brakes won't lock up.

You may have a loose rod or loose roller rocker

Its probably a stop lamp switch, most common part for a esp/bas/abs lights. but can also be bas travel sensor, ect.

I imagine that more than likely the problem is going to be easy to fix by replacing the fuse.

You prbly just have a bad fuse so the best thing to do is just change it. Its quick and easy

The Idle control air valve on Highlanders, and other Toyota models, and other makes and models of vehicles, becomes dirty. On my Highlander, the dirty valve caused the vehicle to sometimes fail to idle on its own until it warmed up. My research shows that most of the time these valves don't need to be replaced, they just need to be cleaned. If you can locate yours, and have decent mechanical skills, you can clean it and save the cost the dealer would charge to replace one. Remove the Anti-theft system fuse.

This is pretty simple. Just turn on the wipers and stop them while the arm is in the middle of the windshield or there about. Then just change as any other wiper.

fuel sending unit in the fuel tank..... cost alot of $ and you have to cut the exhaust...... just keep it full and drive that mf'er

does the red light say the word "brake"? if so most likely cause is the brake fluid is low or the parking brake is still applied. if fluid is low it could be that you need new pads or have a leak. -You may be refering to the flashing, or solid red tiny bulb on the knee panel of the drivers side compartment, under the steering wheel approximately center or left and, this is the factory installed aftermarket alarm system, that is an ongoing pain after time... there is also a small toggle switch on the drivers side kick panel ( the plastic piece that your left foot is near ) that moves the alarm through various modes.
