How do you replace the lights on a Ford Taurus - Mercury Sable?
We've got nearly everything covered in the "Related Questions" below, except for the dome and glovebox lights.
This question is really broad, not really very specific like:
Please be more specific if you get this answer. Maybe we can help you with the specific ones. Thanks!
Where is the oxygen sensor located in a 2002 dodge 1500 pick up?
Im pretty sure there are 2. One pre and one post catalytic converter. look on the exhaust pipe about a foot after it leaves the manifold and the other after the converter.
Where is the oxygen sensor 1987 v6 Nissan pickup?
you have 3 of them ,1in each exhaust manifold and 1 in one of the pipe leaving the exhaust manifold.
Disconnecting the wires of an O2 sensor?
to disconnect the wires on the 02 sensors you need to squeeze the release clamp on the wirind harness. when pressure is applied at the clamp pull the 2 connecting harnesses apart.
Where is the oxygen sensor on a 1995 Chevrolet C3500?
Near the "Y" pipe to exhaust manifold joint. Follow the wire that is the same color as the replacement part has. It screws into the pipe just like a sparkplug. You will need a 7/8" wrench or an O2 sensor socket to remove & install the part.
What does it mean when a code for an O2 sensor on your converter says lean O2 sensor?
They switch back and forth (electrical, over and under the median) constantly monitoring air in exhaust and adjust run time on your injectors to compenste. but you should have about 3. You are running leaner on that bank than it can correct, or your sensor has become lazy (slow switching)and needs replaced. You need someone with an advanced scanner that can not only test your sensors, but check fuel trims to determine what you need. A new sensor is only about 40.00, but some are hard to replace depending on location.
How do you replace the oxygen sensor on a 2003 Jeep Wrangler?
If the sensor is not to be used again I would disconnect the wires leading to it then cut the wires off at the sensor. Now you can slip a 7/8" box wrench over the sensor and remove it by turning it counterclockwise. Install the new one using a 7/8" open end wrench.
How do you change the oxygen sensor on a 2001 Chevy Prizm?
Depending on which one you are trying to replace it is pretty simple. There are two O2 sensoners loctaed on the exhast. One is right at the manifold and the other is behnd the CAT. Disconnect the battery for the car and unplug the O2 sensor. I believe the wrench size is a 20mm or maybe a 20mm just make sure it fits right you don't wnt to strip the nut.. It may need to be heated up with a propane torch to make it easy to take of. For the one behind the CAT you have to cut the wires and splice the new O2 sensor wires together or take out the center consol of the inside the conector for the rear o2 sensor is locatedd here. You will need to fish the wire out from the bottom... Same process though to take it off too.
There is a special slotted socket for oxygen sensors. It is not recommended to cut any wires as moisture can get in and cause corrision.jd
There is no such thing as a "circuit fault bank." That was the terminology your scan tool used to tell you that there is a fault in the downstream heated oxygen sensor circuit. There are three sensors screwed directly into the exaust system. Two you will see under the hood, screwed into exaust manifolds. Those are the upstream oxygen sensors. Now get under the truck. Find the lone sensor that looks like the other two, screwed into the exaust sytem after the catalytic converter. That is the downstream oxygen sensor. The downstream oxygen sensor circuit that there is a fault in, includes that sensor, and all the wiring in that circuit all the way back to the PCM (computer), and includes the PCM itself.

I have that car and you can remove them from the truck of the car.
Where is the oxygen sensor on a 1992 190e merceredes?
check under neath the passenger side floor mat youll see some wiring going down into the underside of the car follow the line and viola youll find the o2 sensor it should be before the cat convertor get a benzomatic thorch it hot get a long bar also
How do you check the coolant sensor on a 1990 ford f150Temp sensor check on 1990 ford f 150?
replace with a new one.
Where is the oxygen sensor on an 89 dodge ram charger?
You can find the oxygen senser between the exaust manifold and the cat. converter....it looks like a spark plug with wires comming out the top and to remove you unplug those wires and unscrew it from the pipe and screw in a new one.....be sure to use liquid wrench or wd-40 or something like that so it unsrews easier..sometimes they can be tough. good luck!

Can you bypass the oxygen sensor on an Oldsmobile silhoutte?
There are two, to do so would be detrimental to your engine and confuse your computer readings onboard.
Which oxygen sensor is bank 1 sensor 1 on your 2000 ford ranger?
On your V6 engine :
Bank 1 is the passenger side of the engine
Sensor 1 is in the exhaust pipe ( or exhaust manifold ) before the exhaust enters the catalytic converter ( upstream )
How do you replace o2 sensor on ford crown Victoria 97?
If you are replacing an O2 sensor with a new one there is no need for a special wrench, unplug the electrical connection from the vehicle harness of the bad sensor. Cut the remaining wire harness off of the bad sensor so you can slip a 7/8" box end wrench over the sensor and turn it CCW to remove it. Install the new sensor with an open end 7/8" wrench and tighten it as you would a spark plug (no need to over tighten). Plug the harness back together and your done.
It is next to the thermostat housing.
Where is the pcv valve on a Mercury Sable - NOT the DOHC engine - and how to replace it?
The following information applies to the 'regular', 12 valve "Vulcan" engines pcv valve.
For the 24 valve, DOHC engines, see "Related Questions" below ----
PCV Valve is in the end of 1/2" or so size hose inserted into a rubber grommet in the top of one of the valve covers.
INSTALL: Simply pull on the hose to release the valve from the valve cover - pull the valve out of the hose. Insert new valve and push back into valve cover.
NOTES:
* The valve is in the end of 1/2" or so size hose inserted into a rubber grommet in the top of the valve cover
* If the valve checkball rattles, it's working
* Recommended replace interval - 40,000 miles
* Can clean with a bit of carburetor cleaner spray
* The 'other' large tube going into the opposite valve cover is a breather tube On my 2000 3.0L Vulcan OHV, the PCV is located on the top of the engine in one of the valve covers, simply pull the old valve out and push the new one in. Cost of part: $2-$4.
== == == == == == 1997 Mercury Sable & Ford Taurus, 12, valve, 3.0 liter, Vulcan engine: located on top of intake manifold box, vertical position facing down. Manifold box is on passenger side, near firewall. horizontal hose extends to the right. pull assembly up since valve is a smooth connector to grommet. twist gently on hose , to remove since this is a barbed fitting. PCV valve is "el' in shape. replacement part may be straight, but comes with a right angle extender as an adapter. NOTE: new and old PCV valves do not act like a check valve. Blowing air in either direction does NOT close the valve. Old valve was clean, will save if new valve jams up or gets dirty. Old valve was clean after 103K miles.
Where is the oxygen sensor on a 1995 F150 inline 6 with a manual transmission?
Most oxygen sensors are in the exhaust pipe....between the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter.
How do you change a crankshaft sensor on a 1994 intrepid?
Simple change out. The sensor is on passenger side of engine just behind and below the#5 sparkplug. It is held in place by a 10 M.M. bolt, and has a three wire plug that is pretty easy to unplug, provided you have 3.3L engine and I assume it is pretty much the same for larger engine also.
The hatch on my 03 Sequoia won't open The cable seems attached Any ideas?
If it's the gas tank hatch. it could just be the small metal that pushes the cover out once the lock has been released. you can bend this a little more wider. enough to have tension to push the gas tank cover out. It happened on my Sequoia once.
How do you replace the O2 sensor on a 1996 Chrysler town and country?
An O2 sensor unscrews just like a spark plug.
