This question would be impossible for anyone other than the owner of the car to calculate. This is how YOU can calculate your mileage, Step 1. Filling the vehicle's gas tank completely and writing down the vehicle's odometer reading (mileage). Example: The last time the tank was filled, the odometer reading was 32,645.1 miles. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Step 2. When it's time to refuel, filling the tank completely and writing down the number of gallons it took to fill the tank and the vehicle's new odometer reading. Once two odometer readings are taken, MPG can be calculated. Example: The next time the tank was filled, the odometer reading was 33,001.3. It took 13.5 gallons to fill the tank. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Step 3. Calculating the distance driven by subtracting the previous odometer reading from the new one. Example: The distance driven would be 33,001.3 minus 32,645.1, or 356.2 miles. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Step 4. Dividing the number of miles driven by the number of gallons it took to fill the tank. The result is the vehicle's MPG for that driving period. Example: 356.2 miles divided by 13.5 gallons equals 26.4 miles per gallon

If your map lights come on when the door is opened then the problem lies with only the dome light.

check the bulb and test the wires for voltage and ground.

there may just be a short in the ground.

that's the most common problem with interior lighting.

It is located under the center console lid. To change put the key forward, not starting the vehicle and slide the gear select in the lowest possible gear. This should be 1 on an auto, some older models equiped with 2.73 gear sets have consoles begining in 2. After the gear select is in the lowest setting, you will see a U shaped clip holding the T handle shifter. Use a flat blade screw driver and gently pry the clip out. Place it some where safe, after this pull up on the T handle and shifter should come off. Your now read to remove the console lid. The lid pops in place, open up your storage lid and pulling forward and up remove the center console lid. Now on the under side you should see a plug and two wires, thats your console light. Simply twist and it should come free from the bottom of the gear select lid. After this you should see the buld in the socket When you get ready to put every thing b ack together with your finder, slide the gear select in the lowest setting. Angle it downward and slide the opening in the shifter area over the shifter assembly. Neil350

This happens to me also in my 1996 Firebird. However, this didn't always happen until my driver side headlight motor (gear) started grinding - it needs to be changed. The petcock is located on the passenger engine side of the radiator. It doesn't extend outward from the radiator; it's actually inset to it. Turning it counter clockwise opens it.

You can order a kit on-line that has a brass gear instead of the nylon ones that come stock. Instructions are included. I don't remember the site, but type "firebird headlight repair" in google and you can find it. I have replaced both sides on mine, and it,s not that hard. Hope this helps you out.

depends on how new 82-93 are the same but you cant fit a 1994-up dash in it

There are a few posts as to the answer to this question.

You need to remove the serpentine belt from the alternator, unplug the electrical connections from the back, remove the mounting bolts, and install the new alternator.

If it doesn't move, the problem probably exist with the sending unit. Unfortunately, the work required to get to it may not be worth the trouble. First you must remove the unit from the the fuel tank. This requires removing the tank-major undertaking; estimated at $500. Once the unit is out of the tank, open the casing and clean it thoroughly-debris is the most likely culprit for it not working. Re-assemble and install.

Make Sure your battery full charged sometimes the battery might be low or bad and it is not give it the spark it need to turn over what you can do is get under the car find the starter and the to nuts hodlind the starter you can hit them with a hammer gentlely and have someone hold the ignition in the start position and that usally will cause it to turn over if not then you need a new starter I have a 94 Chevy Lumina euro and it did the same thing

Hi there, I don't know when you posted this and you may have found it already. Its located at the back of the drivers footwell against the firewall, gearbox tunnel side, its in an envelope type holder with five wires going to it. Pull it out of the holder, its almost the size of a cigarette packet. I don't know how much the replacement is as I've had the same problem and only just removed it, but I did check on line with the usual auto stores but they don't show it. Good luck buddy, Stu

Hi there. Stu is correct. However, this relay is a "dealer only" item. This is not the problem with your window. I just replaced the motor in my friend's 2001 Firebird. The motor was the problem the whole time as she was having the same symptoms as you are experiencing. You can find the motor at Autozone for $53. Lifetime warranty. The trick is getting just the motor out but not the regulator. You must drill out three rivets that are holding the motor to the regulator. The new motor will have three or more bolt and nut assemblys for easier installation. Let me know if this helps and good luck!! - Josh

Also check out your power window motor. Mine did this on my drivers side and then after a while you would have to wait longer and longer to be able to move it. Finally after time it would go down, but not up at all. I replaced the power window motor and never had that problem again! - Sheldon

Usually if your rear diff is going bad it will start to howl or grind.

yes you can,pull the bar from a ws6 ta with all the hardware from a junkyard car. this is a direct bolt on this way.

I had a century with the 3.8 engine..the manual said to discharge the air conditioning and all that jazz...bla,bla!The dealer did it in 3 hrs, and at that time it cost $300. That was with a new Delco starter. I had 50,000 miles on the clock at the time. The fastest way to do it was to drop the whole cradle with engine, then they replaced the starter with plenty of clearence.There is probably a better way , now , but it wasn't that bad .

i haVE A 92 camaro that does the same thing. if it's a 5sp, then it's probablly the safety switch in the clutch pedal. you have to push the clutch down to start the car, and the safety is not engaging. Try lubricating window driveline and if no go, replace motor if all other parts are in good shape.

more than likely it is the motor its self, If the motor moves it then stops then moves a little more than stops it is the motor.

it has its own belt use the belt tentionadjuster located on the alt itself its a bolt

If there is a clicking noise get it to a mechanic you engine is blown and may be saved. Most likely you'll need a new one because a lifter is broken and it would be cheaper.

Unfortunately, you can't replace the front hub bearings--you have to replace the entire front hub assembly. This is becoming the rule and not the exception in both foreign and domestic later model cars. Gone are the days of simply replacing $10 worth of bearings. You can get a Timken replacement hub from Autozone for about $107.00 (PN: 513090). The hub assemply is held on by four cap screws and is a relatively simple replacement. I would recommend using some Locktite on the cap screws and torque each to the specifications for your vehicle. ERB

The instrument clusters are wired completely different and it is a task beyond belief to change out the prongs on the wiring and get it right.

I'm sure there is a fuse somewhere, but the electrical connections for the rear defog are made thru the struts that hold the rear hatch open. this is why if you buy new struts for that car they will ask you does it have rear defog. the struts you need must have an electrical connecter at the forward end with a wire attached to each strut. go look.

The firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6. As you face the engine fron the front, cylinder numbers 1,3,5 are on the passenger side and 2,4,6 are on the driver side.
