The lense has a clip on the outer side that needs to be pushed in with a flat head screwdriver to release. The entire lense pulls out and the bulb socket is accesable from the back. To replace just hook the inside edge and clip it back in place.
How do emergency signal devices work?
Emergency signaling devices work differently depending on what type they are. There are hand-held devices that will signal location services to emergency vehicles like police and fire. There are transmitters for air services that broadcast a distress signal. There is a beacon that ships use that transmits on radios.
You would normally find it under the dash near the steering column. It is not in the fuse panel. It's left of the ashtray. Turn on the hazards and listen, the turn signal and 4 way flashers are side by side. You don't say what kind of vehicle you have, but if you are looking for a stand-alone flasher unit on late model Ford, Mercury, and Lincoln vehicles, you won't find it. It is incorporated within the hazard flasher swith, located on top of the steering column. This is a multi-function switch that controls turn signals, brake lights, and emergency flashers. If these lights are not working, a quick fix is to spray WD 40 around the switch. Then push it down with your thumb and let it pop up several times and also wiggle it around a bit.

I hope someone answers your question because I have the same car with the same problem.
I already had a connector it the car for trailer lights. It used to work & seems to still be working. But when Haul plugged in trailer lights to it, our turn signals stopped working. The connectors from the trailer were real ratty; I wouldn't be surprised if they hooked up something backwards. They also had to run a separate ground wire to get the lights on the trailer working. I think they had the turn signals working at some point when they were hooking it up.
Symptoms (all started when trailer hooked up):
Things that still work:
I can't find the flasher (if there is one). I can't find my owner's manual. I can't find any clues or fuse diagrams on the Web. (Google has a lot of strange Russian websites that don't have anything to do with the car-annoying.
Help!

Where is the flasher unit on a 80series landcruiser?
In an 80 Series Land Cruiser, the flasher unit is typically located under the dashboard, near the steering column. You may need to remove the lower dash panel to access it. Look for a small, rectangular relay that is usually plugged into the fuse box area. It can also be found in the vicinity of the turn signal switch.

Turn signal flasher 1995 grand am?
It is located behind the fuse block on the driver's side. When you open the drivers door you can plainly see the fuse block. (marked "FUSES") Flasher is behind that. You have to get to it from unde the dash. Take out panels under steering wheel. If you get your head down by the brake pedal you can see it. When I changed mine, I took out the little bracket that holds it in and relocated it to a lower place. I clipped the flasher bracket onto the little access door closest to the emergency brake (on the panel that you have to take out). Luckily the wires were long enough to enable this, so if you have to change it again, it's alot easier.
How do you replace multifunction switch on 2000 catera?
remove knee panel under steering column. remove cover above pedals. It is a black 2-3 inch box generic looking and it is mounted on a metal tab. just wiggle and it should release. this is a common cause for failure in radio, fuel door button, and truck button on dash.
Open trunk & pull away carpet from behind the lights.

Where is the flasher on a 1999 Pontiac Firebird?

How to get at flasher what needs to be removed
Change the blinker bulb for that side. It is a hit and miss though. If you change the front bulbs and it still doesn't blink you will also need to change the rear bulbs. The front bulbs are rather difficult to change from above the vehicle. You may want to get underneath and definitely during the day!!! THE REAL ANSWER!!!!!! This drove me crazy on my daughters car. It turned out to be the day time running light modual wich is located behind the radio. the conections were loose. when you turn on the right turn directional the front light would go out but the rear directional would work. listen closley behind the radio for a one click noise when you activate the right turn, and also a delay one click when you deactivate.

E-flasher work turn signal doesn't 1996 Cherokee?
OK, it is not a flasher in the common sense, but rather a relay that plugs in just above the fuse box. You must remove the fuse box cover panel and then the kickpanel cover, which has two screws and all located behind the passenger side kick panel. I have ordered the relay from Jeep and the part number they provided is: 56007243, which is the flasher for both the turn signals and the emergency flasher. The part should be here in a couple of days and if any of this changes I will update this posting.
