What kind of tool does it take to get the heater hose off?
(No clue what vehicle you are asking about )
There are several types, If you have space behind the connection you can pick up a 3/4" or 5/8" disconnect tool easily at an auto parts store, (usually called fuel line quick disconnect tools) If there is less than 1/2 inch of room behind the clip (its against the firewall)you will have to find one that fits your vehicle. Look on the web for "Heater Hose Quick Disconnect tool".
i.e Heater hose Disconnect tool for Ford
There will be one of two types the easiest looks like a ring goes over the metal part of the fitting (behind it) and you push it into the fitting it spreads the clips out and the hose pulls off (sometimes you need to push in then pull out)
the other is for tight fitting areas (1987 to current Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Caravan, and Plymouth Voyager, 1986 to current Ford Aerostar vans and 1990 & later Econoline vans)
To use it push the tool over the clips over the tabs that stick out of the fitting push in pull out .. they come off pretty easily if you can get to them.
The Chrysler / Ford can be obtained through Amazon ASIN:B000H6W3VG

How do change the alternator on a 2000 Mercury Sable?
Unless you're comfortable taking apart a lot of stuff, bring it to the mechanic. If you have the dual overhead engine (which I am assuming), your alternator is located under the engine. Access can be found through the passenger side wheel well. You have to pull out the splash guard and do take out everything in the way. If it's located on top, simply disconnect your battery, take off the belt, disconnect the connectors, pull a few bolts... it's pretty self explanatory.
What does an oil sending unit look like and where is it on a 1991 2.2 Chevy cavalier?
The oil sending unit is typically located in the lower section of the engine block and drops down into the oil pan. May also be referred to as the oil pickup. If you remove the oil pan, you can't miss it.
Where are the wiper relays in a 1997 GMC Safari?
The wiper relays in my 1995 Safari were inside the wiper motor housing. They kept going out because water would get into the housing. If you unscrew the front of the cover, you will see the circuits and contacts. YOu can clean the contacts, but the best bet is just to replace the entire thing.
on my 98 safari i thought water was getting into my wiper motor, since the only time they acted up is when it was raining, and they would work - when they felt like it - or when i would flex the wiring connector which led into the wiper motor - called my dealer they said it would be the circuit board, I removed the screws from the cover of the wiper motor which is the circuit board and with the wiring harness still plugged into it i pulled it towards me to reveal the components on the other side, the relay is the first the you see when you follow the wiring into the circuit board, you will see 4 to 5 solder points connecting the relay to the circuit board, these solder joints worked loose, to repair simply resolder adding additional solder.
The boards are releativley cheap at the auto stores, but before spending the money try unplugging and replugging the connectors to the boards.
if you dont have an answer yet i have a 93 cav z-24 and it did the same thing and it was the overdrive switches very easy to replace on the left side of the trans just remove one cover and a couple bolts i believe i gave about $50.00 for the part. good luck
Most likely cause of this malfunction is a non-functioning headlight switch assembly. As the switch wears the springs that force the contacts from the dimmer switch to the electrical contacts that ground the signals for the lights wear as well and thus stop functioning correctly. Holding the switch back allows the contact to be "forced" so the lights will work. The headlight part of the switch has a similar problem there are springs controlling the three separate functions; "Off" (Daytime running lights) "Parking lights on" (Everything but headlights) and "Headlights on" (All lights on). You may be able to open up the switch and clean the contacts and get away with that for a while but your best bet is to find a car at the wreckers with low mileage and take it's switch, or pay the high price for a brand new one off GM.
A few things you can check is to take a DMM and check your plug wires for excessive resistance. something else you can do is check to see if you even have power getting to your ignition module to power the coils.
Which port is low and which is high end on the AC system of an '89 Voyager 3.0 v6?
low side port is located on most cars at the accumulator at the fire wall (most cars not all) the low side is the bigger of the 2 lines the high side is the smaller one. if the car takes 134 freon then you can buy a fill kit to add freon to the car and the hose will only fit the low side.

Where is the pcv valve on a 93 Nissan Sentra and can it leak oil?
Automobile PCV valves can leak oil.
Not sure where it is on that model;it will be attached to a hose assembly to let air from the crankcase (bottom of the engine) get sucked back into the intake (top of the engine).
AnswerThe pcv value is located on the value cover next to the oil cap. The pcv value has a hose attached to it that goes from the pcv value to the bottom of the fuel injector. Once you remove this hose, the value can be easily removed with a 3/4" or 20mm wrench. How do remove rear speakers on a 99 Altima?
