How do you change the accessry belt on 1992 cavalier?

For 2.2L engine, put a wrench (13 or 15mm?) on the bolt in the middle of the idler pulley and rotate clockwise as far as you can go (hold it there because it's under spring tension). This takes the tension off the belt. Now work the belt off the alternator pulley.

To put the new one on, look at the belt routing sticker attached to the underside of the hood. Start by squeezing the belt together on one end and slip it down between the idler and water pump pulleys. Follow the belt routing sticker. The last pulley it will go around will be the alternator. Put the wrench back on the idler and pull clockwise and hold it (go clockwise as far as you can). Work the belt over the last pulley and release the tensioner. Check for correct belt tension.

How do you replace the head gasket located on a 1986 Nissan truck 2.4L?

First you have to take the radiator out, fan and fan shroud. then remove all the belts. Next remove the power steering idler pulley, power stearing pump, alternator bracket. Once done, you have to disconnect all electrical wires and hoses that go to your intake because you need to remove the intake next. Also remove the exhaust manifold/headers. Now you take off the valve cover. Make sure to take out all spark plugs and set the engine to TDC. I'm in school so I have to go, I have the shop manual, if you need more information email me at tinksmartbstupid@gmail.com

Append: Radiator does not need to be removed, neither does alternator or its bracket. I've done this job twice over the past 4 months. Make sure when removing the camshaft timing sprocket that your timing chain is held in place so that you do not lose engagement at the crankshaft sprocket. If the chain is not held in its exact location at the crank sprocket, that is if a link moves from a sprocket tooth, there is no way to make certain your valve timing is correct. You will then have to remove the timing chain cover to properly index the chain, adding possibly 30% or more to the labor time for the job! On the other hand, if you're going to go to the trouble of replacing the head gasket, you might as well consider replacing the timing chain at the same time anyway.

Where is the lambda sensors located on a Peugeot 206 and how do you replace it?

how do you replace it...not easily...It cannot be replaced that easily, like a winscreen wiper....you should go to a car service

how do you replace it...not easily...

if anyone finds replacing a windscreen wiper that hard they have to pay dealer labour prices i wouldn't bother buying an automobile,

To change a lambda sensor you need access to the cat (catalytic converter) , whch is near enough always situated underneath the floorpan (on a 206 its somewhere below the gearstick on the outside of the car).

a lambda sensor plugs into tha cat so really to change this you would problably need to raise the car in the air high enough to take the cat off, so you would problably need to take the car to a garage with a lift (you don't need to take it to the dealers unless you've got money to burn)

and if you don't have a clue like how to change a wiper blade next time your wasting money having someone on about £50ph do it stand there and watch how they do it so next time you can do it yourself and not have to pay for something that takes all of 2 minutes max

How do you take apart the dash of a 1994 cavalier to install new gauges?

on both sides of the instrument cluster there is a panel switch and dome switch, these pull straight out. After you get them out remove the clips from the back of each. Straight back behind the stering column there are two star screws (hidden by a rubber piece) remove those. Pull the dash cover straight out (might be hard). once out remove the star screws from the instrument cluster then pull it out. It will be easy to remove.

How do you replace the head gasket located on a 1996 Ford Contour Sport?

4 cyl or 6 cyl? Either way it goes it's a harry job. You have to remove your intake manifold, and heads to get to the has gaskets. Parts are cheap, but labor is usually an arm and a leg. If the car has overheated because of the had gasket going bad, repair shops have to send the heads to a machine shop to be re-surfaced.

How do you remove the rear speakers?

On the first gen Intrepids you have to remove the rear seat and then take off the shelf above the speakers.

Now this isn't as hard as many people think it is. It only takes a few steps, and can be finished in a matter of 20 minutes. I'll lay it out as simple as I can.

Step 1:

In a 1st generationg there are two bolts holding the bottom seat cushion down to the car body. Put the front seats all the way forward so you can have more room to work. Start off on the drivers side and kneel down on the ground and put your head in between the drivers seat and the back seat. You will see a little groove where the bolt is. Feel around with your fingers if you cant see it, you'll find it. Remove that bolt using a socket wrench, or a basic wrench if you don't have one. Repeat this process on the opposite side. Now set those bolts aside and lift up on the seat cushion, it will pop right out. Dont worry about it being heavy, its only about 5 lbs max.

Step 2:

Take ur time to clean up all the crap that has fallen between the cracks in the past years and maybe vacuum if you feel so inclined. In my car i personally found about 4 bucks in change, three buttons, about 5 pens, and an unused piece of gum, haha. After you get that done, look at the bottom of the rear back cushion when the seat belts are attached. Use a socket wrench again to remove those bolts. Once you get em out set it aside. Now move the seat belts off the seat, so they wont be pulling against the cushion and place your hands on the bottom while kneeling towards the rear of the car. This is a tricky part. You have to first pull out towards the front of the car, to get the brackets off the bolts, then lift up swiftly and strongly to lift the top brackets out of the grooves. Now keep one hand on the bottom, and move the other to the top and sort of pull out towards you while you lift up still. With a little wiggling you will get it out. Set it aside and maybe relax for a second.

Step 3:

Now you will have a perfect view of the rear deck. Now if you tug on the rear deck a little, you will notice that you have a trim panel, one on each side, holding it back. Place your fingers under this trim and just pull it out. It snaps out pretty easy, Just don't break it. Now that the trim is gone, remove the screws holding the deck in place. Now pull on the rear deck again and wiggle it around till it comes out. remember you still have those speakers back there, so if you wanna save em, don't go bashing the deck around. You could also ask someone to help and lift those speakers out from inside the trunk while you pull. Remember you still have the seat belts holding onto the rear deck so ur not ganna get too far with it unless you wanna take those off as well.

Step 4:

Now that you have it off, you can do all the work you need, whether its dynomatting, replacing the speakers, porting, or anything else that strikes ur fancy. Re-installation is the exact same as the removal. Slide the rear deck into position, and replace the trim. The re-installation of the rear back cushion is slightly tricky again, but nothing you cant handle. Hold it steady and try to look over the top of it down, and guide those hooks into the grooves, once those are in, MAKE SURE TO PULL THE SEAT BELTS BACK TO THE FRONT OF THE SEAT! I forgot to do that and it added a little time onto my re-install, haha. Push the rear seat back into the two bolts, make sure to put the seat belts back on. you will be able to tell which side was which if you just think about it. the one with the two female sockets will go on the left side of the car if us facing forward i believe, but don't quote me on that cause its off the top of my head. Once you have those on, put the nuts back on and tighten em down. Now put the bottom cushion back on and make sure the slot that is attached to the seat goes BEHIND the bracket that is attached to the car. These are the bracket that are in the front of the bottom cushion. Screw em back in and presto. You're done

All in all the procedure is pretty simple. Yeah my how to might have been long but the 1st gen needed on in here. And even though its long, its still a process that only takes 20 minutes of ur time.

How do I get my 2003 Kawasaki KLX 400 to idle without the choke on?

Sounds like your idle jet is clogged. This is caused by gasoline evaporating out of the carburetor during long periods of disuse which can leave a varnish residue. You will probably need to remove the float bowl and remove the jet to clear it as carb cleaning additives in the gasoline are usually useless for this problem. It is vital that you use the exact fit screw driver on float bowl screws as they are usually very tight.

The jet will have a very small opening and you could damage the jet if you use the wrong method to clean it (do not use a drill bit). First try a carburetor cleaner spray with the small plastic straw that comes with them. Look thru the jet hole by holding it up to a strong light to see that it is indeed clogged. Then try holding the small straw in the jet orifice and forcing the cleaner into and through the jet. Be careful that you don't deflect the spray back into your eyes. Use eye protection. You could try to soak the jet in a cap full off the cleaner for a while.

If that doesn't work a very small stiff wire might work to push the clog out (from a wire brush?). Then try the spray method again.

How hard is it to adjust the parking brake?

Not hard at all! First, adjust your rear brakes properly. Once this is done, locate the Emgcy Brake cable (y shaped cable running from front to both rear wheels) There is a turnbuckle on the cable, you simply hold the cable with a wrench and turn the turnbuckle to tighten it up.

Shoot for 4 or 5 clicks (about 30 percent) on the lever before it starts getting *tight*. If you adjust it too tight, it will wear your brakes prematurely and cause your gas mileage to drop-and possibly other bad things.

I'm not a mechanic, but I've done this before some years ago.

If you are asking this question in relation to a networked laser printer this seems to be an issue with either a corrupt driver or a network error.

I have sorted mine out by simply downloading the updated driver from the printer manufacturer's website.

How do you fix the gas gauge reading empty after you fill up the tank on a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

You may have a faulty fuel sending unit and the bad news is, that unit is in the fuel tank. GM has had a problem with these units and many times this has been the fix. Buy 2 or 3 bottles of Techron. It is an additive for your fuel tank. It has cleaning agents that help remove the sulpher deposits which were corroding some of the fuel sending units in the tank. Run a few tankfulls of this thru your SUV. If your Trailblazer is out of warranty I would try this before anything.

Top Tier Gasolines:

There are certain brands of gas that have these cleaners (Techron) in them and if you could purchase a brand with this techron in it, it will save you from buying it separately and having to add it. GM has participated in this top tier gasoline research and redommends these fuels for your vehicle. If you can't find a company selling one of the top tier gasolines in yoru area you can always add the techron to keep your fuel sending until from the supher build up.

Chevy Recall:On 8/25/2011 Chevy finally released what they are calling a "Special Policy Coverage" exception/recall for select 2005 models for a known "premature fuel level sensor contact wear" issue. Recall good for select vehicles under 100k or 10 Years, whichever is first through 8/2014. Contact your Chevy service loaction wtih your vehicle VIN and you may qualify. My 2005 Trailblazer V8 qualified (10054B) and my appointment's next week for the repair. I share this because I've been battleing with Chevy for over 8 months now. I think it is a pretty pathetic showing for the Service center not to have reached out to me. I had been checking in periodically for an update on the recall.

How do you tear apart the door pannel on a 92 sunbird?

i havnt had to take mine off yet, but on other cars that i have had to, i just remove the window crank, and remove any screw or bolt that you can see, be sure to keep all screws labeled to where they go back. once you have them all off, pull on the bottom outside corner, and gently pop it off of the snap conectors on the back side. it there is a spot that is still attached, just look for a "hidden" screw.once you have all the ccsrews out, and all the snap conector removed, lift the pannel upwards and it will slide out the window slot. hope this helps.
