I'd think that first off, a comfortable listening level might be your best choice and where to adjust that depends on your speakers and how much power your amplifier has. Definitely not full volume as it can be rough on the amp and the speakers. Set the bass to what's pleasing to your ear, as well as the treble, etc. If you use a graphic equalizer, all the better for more accurate and `pleasurable' adjustments. If it sounds distorted, it's not good and very fatiguing to listen to because you're either over driving the amp or exceeding the capability of your speakers, or both. Its' the same way with it being too loud too, as this will cause listener fatigue just as quickly as distorted sound. And if blood starts dripping from your ears, shut it off and get to the nearest hospital!
The power steering output is directly proportional to the engine speed [RPM]. I suspect that when it is difficult to turn, the engine is at idle speed, which is set too at too low an RPM. Then when you depress the accelerator, the engine speed increases and the power steering pump speed and output power increase also. Have a qualified mechanic check and properly set the engine idle speed to the manufacturer's specifications. IF the idle speed is not abnormally low, would suggest a badly worn power steering pump. Properly set idle speed first, and if that does not correct the problem, then have the power steering pump output checked.
Use a transistor to drive a small relay. When the switch is pressed it should turn on the transistor and at the same time charge a small capacitor. Discharge the capacitor over 4 second time period with a resistor. You will have to experiment with resistors to find one that gives an acceptable discharge rate. Note, if the 12V lamp is running DC you can drive it directly with the transistor and forget about the relay.

A capacitor is a device which absorbs and stores energy in the form of an electric field.
When we switch on the light, the fluorescent tube initially requires more energy than is required for when it is continually running.
This is because the tube's two filaments - one at each end of the tube - have to be supplied with current to give them enough energy to heat up and glow. Their extra heat makes an arc flash across the tube, between the two filaments.
The arc will then continue running across the tube once the filaments have been disconnected from the power source. *** (See Note below.)
After the arc has started across the tube, a switch inside the starter must open to break the supply of current to the filaments.
Without a capacitor, a secondary arc would start across the open contacts of the switch inside the starter and that arc would quickly cause those contacts to burn away. The capacitor absorbs the energy which would otherwise start that secondary arc to glow. That is why a capacitor has to be used in the starter for a fluorescent lamp.

As part of the lighting fixture there has to be a special inductance coil - called a "choke" - that is wired in series with the fluorescent tube.
The choke's purpose is to limit the amount of current drawn by the arc whilst the tube is lit up. Without the choke the arc would act like a short circuit and would cause the circuit breaker or fuse protecting the lighting circuit to trip or blow in order to cut off the supply of current.

If you have the door shut and the interior lamp will not go out, it is most likely because you have a defective door jam switch. The switch will either be located in the door jam and will look like a small plunger, or will be integrated into the hinge itself and will not be visible without removing the door panel. If the switch is integrated in the hinge itself, it ususally requires replacement of the entire part ( available at your dealer ) and the switch is not serviced seperately. If it is separate ( plunger type ) it should be available at most aftermarket part stores for less than $15. On some rare occasions both types may be " blown out " with compressed air to clean them and will sometimes work again without replacing them. This is because they usually fail because of dust and grime fouling the contacts in the switch. Unfortunately this will only work about one out of ten times. Maybe this will help. Best of luck.

To remove disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the cover from the headlamps and radiator shroud.
Disconnect the left engine torque strut from the radiator support then disconnect the upper trans oil cooler line from the transmission cooler.Next remove the right and left cooling fan. After that is done remove the serpentine belt from the alternator. Next remove the bolt from the front top of the alt. and the bolt from the locovered in this guider front of the alt. And detach the harness connector and putput cable from the alt.
Just so you know the bolt nearest the exhaust manifold can't be removed from the bracket but can be backed out to allow it to be taken out.
You'll have to remove the a/c splash shield from the cradle and the access panel from the bottom side of the radiator and disconnect the engine harness from its cradle. You can move the alt away from the engine and pull it out from the bottom side of the engine
