Where is the horn relay located on a 1986 Chevy Corvette?

It's in the center of the dash. First, you must remove the driver's side instrument trim, then the center section. You then need to unscrew the cluster that contains the "check-engine" light, check brakes, etc. and pull it out far enough to get your hands in just above it. The horn relay is to the right of center. You'll need both hands to release the clips and to pull the old one out. For a $12 part, it's a pain in the you know what, but at least you'll have a functioning horn. Note: be sure to keep all of the screws in order, as some are of different legths and heads. Also be very careful with the plastic bezels, as they are very fragile. Good luck

Your horn on your 1997 buick skylark wont stop blowing had to remove fuse cant find the relay how do you test replace the horn switch?

Had this problem with my 95. You need to remove the pad that sits over the airbag, and use an ohm meter to check if either of your horn switches are shorted. Most likely, one is and you can bypass it while retaining the functionality of the other. Not a job i would recommend for the do-it-yourself-er. Take it to the mechanic for this one

== Another possibility is that your horn pad expanded in the heat- happened to me. It, unfortunately, involves replacing the entire airbag assembly. Very costly, and if you attempt it yourself, get a HAYNES manual to disable the airbag.

Is it illegal considering you are only 12-13 to stand on a street and ask people to beep their car horn for charity Every time you get one beep your friends and family will give us money?

It is not illegal to ask people to beep their horn but it is illegal for anyone to beep a vehicle horn unless there is danger present. So, the act of asking people to beep the horn is not worthwhile. Also, intentionally creating a dangerous situation so that people will be able to beep their horns legally for the danger is illegal and is subject to fine and/or imprisonment.

Where is the horn fuse on a 2002 Mercedes Benz C320 None is listed on the fuse listing but it does not work?

The fuse for the horn is located in the driver side fuse box under the hood and if u have a fuse chart it's a 15 amp fuse and it goes in slot #43. If you don't have a chart if u r facing the driver side of the car and looking directly at the fuse box it's the fuse in the top left corner and it's a blue 15 amp fuse. The fuse underneath it should be a red 7.5 amp fuse. I hope this helps because it took me a while to figure it out.

What small difference is there between the black horn and the white horn of horses' hooves?

This is a Howrse riding level question. One is softer than the other

__________________________________________________

From Horseman's U.com: White feet are generally softer as they hold moisture better. Black feet are not as good at holding moisture, and tend to dry out quicker and chip and split. I do not consider this a small difference at all, as both feet need care and conditioning if you want to keep the horse barefoot. Chestnut, sorrel, palomino and a few other genetic colorings tend to blend both black and white horn, creating a durable, flexible and easy-to-maintain hoof. Climatic conditions also play a part in the structure of a horse's foot. A black hoof in the rainy climate of BC Canada can stay moist and useful, while the same foot in dry California may always need attention with drying, splits and cracks. Breeds also dictate hoof structure.

...............................................................................................................................

there is absulutly not much difference between the feet as both can crack etc.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some say there is a difference, but all the horses I've shod and come across I have never been persueded to either side of the argument. I believe the ground the horses walk on is the main catalyst in the hardness (or lack of) in the feet. Hard, dry ground produces hard dry feet. Soft, moist and muddy conditions produce softer feet. However the mud does act like a sponge when it's semi-dry and sucks the moisture out of your horses feet, hence, drying them out.

There is no difference, in my experience, besides the obvious "white hooves are white" and "black hooves are black".

How do you fix the horn on a 2001 Rav4?

Buy a new one... You may not need it but they aren't expensive (I got 2 LOUD ones and it is much better than the sissy horns that are OEM). That's right there are 2 wired in series. The problem is most likely corrosion, so you'll want to purchase some wire (16ga black), some dielectric grease, and a few wire connectors (I'm not sure what they are called but they are the "female" match to the flat terminal type). You'll want to get some connectors which are coated in plastic that will offer some protection from the elements. The problem with the design is they are right in front mounted to the bumper and they are only covered by the plastic bumper cover. All the salt, water and junk gets all over the wires. So once you have the parts you'll need to remove the bumper housing off you'll be able to see the horns. There are 4 or 6 screws on the top to take the grill off and then some more under that to get the bumper cover. in adition to that there are screws and plastic clips in the wheel wells that connect to the bumper cover. Take your time and don't try to force the cover off, just look for a screw or clip you may have missed. Anyway once you get to the bumper and see the horns ar fairly self explanitory. If you bought new horns you'll need to do some custom mounting and may need a say or cutting wheel to remove the brackets welded to the bumper. Like I said, the OEM horns are probably fine... the wiring is coroded. So make sure you get to some clean wire (you may have to trim back a ways. Use the dielectric grease all over any connectors and wire splices... and electric tape over that. The big take home is protect the wires and connections from the elements the best you can.

Where is the horn located on a 1999 Mazda 626?

Hello I just brought a 199 Mazda 626 and the horn is not working, after some research I found the horns. There is one behind each of the turn signal lights. You just need to pop the hood remove a screw on the top of the asembly and slide the asembly forward to remove it. By the way if any one can help me with my horn problem I'll apreciate it. after I found the horns I discover that the right one was diconected but arter I plugged back in the horn went off continiuslly non stop until I pulled off the harnes. No wonder was disconected, the sound was only coming from the right one. So I removed the horn relay mean while I figure out whats wrong, I tried to check the horn button underneath the the stearing wheel cover to see if the button was stuck but I saw that the air bag is mounted inside the cover and I don't want to mess it up. Any ideas whats is wrong with mi horn? I need to get it fix before the next state inspection is due and my wife demands to get it fix. she's an angry driver, she will honk on you even if you changed lines without signal :p

Test the horn switch by having someone listen to the relay next to the fuse box under the hood (drivers side). With the horns disconnected, have someone press the horn switch (honk the horn). If the relay is working you will hear it click. Otherwise, the relay is either stuck closed (horn will sound continuously) or not working. If the relay doesn't click, you either have a bad relay or the horn switch is bad.

Why would a horn not work on a 93 Honda civic how do you fix this?

If all connections to the horn are fine and the fuse in okay, then you might want to check the horn relay or the actual switch at the steering wheel.

AnswerYou will have to check the horn unit to determine if it is broken. This can be done by cutting apart the wiring harness, and connecting wires from your horn to your battery. If it doesn't make noise, your horn is shot. You'll have to take the bumper off the car to get at the horn, another testament of great engineering on the part of Honda :)

The Horn is located on the passengers side. Close to the fire wall on the passengers side there you will find a black box which will be a fuse box which is actually a relay box for the Horn,AC and other engine components that run off of relays, such as your fan. The most common horn problems are either a blown fuse or a bad horn relay. Both should be located under the hood in the fuse box.

What is the function of camber in a car?

When camber specifications are determined during the design stage, a number of factors are taken into account. The engineers account for the fact that wheel alignment specifications used by alignment technicians are for a vehicle that is not moving. On many vehicles, camber changes with different road speeds. This is because aerodynamic forces cause a change in riding height from the height of a vehicle at rest. Because of this, riding height should be checked and problems corrected before setting camber. Camber specs are set so that when a vehicle is at highway speed, the camber is at the optimal setting for minimum tire wear. For many years the trend has been to set the camber from zero to slightly positive to offset vehicle loading, however the current trend is to slightly negative settings to increase vehicle stability and improve handling.
