You need to check the fuse in the fuse panel or the horn relay in the power distribution box under the hood

How do you remove the horn panel from the steering wheel of a 1995 Ford Contour?

On your steering wheel colum, take the upper and lower covers off ( screws are on the bottom ) to access the wiring harnesses. Make sure you battery cables are off battery and wait for 10 minutes to let the cars stored electrical unit drain. ( yea it has an electic stored power supply unit ) Next, unplug the wiring harness on the steering colum.... Now on the back of the steering wheel you will find two screw holes... pretty small... there is either screws or an Allen wrench type screw. ( I had to get in there and look myself ). Take them out and your horn/airbag cover will come loose. I changed my clock spring in there and I suggest you do as well... trust me! I don't know what your doing, but you will most likely need to take you steering wheel off because of the wiring. One bolt... after I removed that I just used my hands to bang on the back of wheel and it came right off.

How do you change the horn on your 2008 silverado?

If it is the same as the 2010 Silverado, there is only one horn which is located in the below the drivers side front headlight. To get to it, you must remove the headlight by removing the 2 or 3 screws and then pulling it straight forward away from the truck. The horn is held in by a single screw but be forwarned -- the horn has a new style connector. Instead of the single or dual prong connectors, it has a dual circular connector so your choices of "plug in" horns will be limited.

The 2001 Alero (probably the 2004 as well) has the horn relay in the black fuse/relay box under the hood close to the fire wall at the driver side. There is a thumb screw on top and when you open the lid it shows a list of fuses and relays. The horn relay is #21.

How do you find the horn relay on a '94 Ford Aerostar?

The horn relay is up under the dash near the radio. There are 2 relays there. remove the plastic and metal covering under the steering wheel and the relay is to the right of it. My 94 had a bad "clockspring". It is just a peice of ribbon type cable coiled around the steering column. My cruse control, airbag and horn are through that connector. I just resoldered them to the wires and I was in business. On the relay there are 4 wires blue (to horn) yellow blue opposite and the other two opposite each other are for the relay coil.to bypass the relay to test just jumper the blue wire with the opposite yellow blue.to test the relay, ground out one of the relay coil wires. From what I have been reading it may be the ribbon cable under the steering wheel on the column.(Just make sure to take off the ground to the battery first if you have an airbag before taking off the steering wheel cover and steering wheel.

Where is the horn in the engine located?

on drivers side located around the bumper and tire you have to jack the car up to access it On what year? On my 92 Sunbird it's on the passenger side bumper, not the driver's side. Makes no sense, on driver's side the battery is in the way, not to mention many other things. On the passenger side there is nothing and I was able to access the horn easily from under the hood (well, it's tight but...) WITHOUT jacking up the car and getting underneath.

How do you fix the horn on a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am if it is not the fuse?

The Grand Am is a GM car and horns cannot be repaired , they must be replaced. Be sure it is not the relay first. If it is the horn that is defective , you will hear the relay click when you press the horn pad that means the relay is working and the horn is not. The horn is located underneath the battery tray of the car. Don't ask me why someone would put it in such a location but that is where it is. Remove the battery and the one bold that holds the tray/washer resevior to the car. There is a hole under that where you can remove the horn which is attached by one bolt on a bracket. Some times the connection can be corroded and that can be the problem, but at that point you might as well replace the horn.. Sometime they come in pairs and GM horns are very expensive. Aftermarkets will fit with a little alteration. Be certain all bolts are tight and metal to metal contact is made. Clean surface with wire brush, and use die=electric grease on connections to prevent new corrosion. Reverse installation. If I were you I would just sit the battery tray and battery in place till I was sure the horn was working.. then bolt everything securely in place....good luck. This answer is incorrect. The horn on a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am is located on the passenger side behind the front bumper. It can be accessed from underneath the car by removing the plastic splash shield.

Why does 2003 Yukon horn blow fuses?

No matter what the make, model, or year, any time an electrical fuse blows, or a circuit breaker trips, unless the device is defective [seldom the cause] the blowing is caused by an "overcurrent" condition. An overcurent condition is caused by a short circuit to ground, or the addition of too many, or too large, devices in/on the circuit which draw too much current [measured in Ampheres (Amps)]. The "fix" for fuses that repeatedly blow, is to find the cause of the overload, and fixing or removing it. One common example of an overload the where some idiot adds a monster audio amplifier, or a "light bar" containing several power gobbling off-road lights to a circuit which was not designed to carry that much current, and the fuse or breaker is just doing its job in protecting the circuit conductors [wires] from overheating which could result in damage to the wireing system, or in the worst case, a fire.
