Your Brake rotors are warped... Remove them and have them turned or replace them.
How do you reset service engine soon light 1994 GMC Sierra?
Usually pulling the battery for 15 minutes will clear it... but you'll also have to let the vehicle relearn it's idle procedure and such. If you haven't remedied the situation that caused the light to go on in the first place, it will likely come right back on though.
This usually indicates a low oil level condition. Check your oil level. If the oil is ok it could be that your idle speed is too slow. Check your timing and adjust the idle speed. If the light is still on you have a low oil pressure situation. Could be anything now.....it's a '92 pobably with a bunch of miles....bad oil pump; rings/valves shot; etc....I'd use high mileage oil addititves at this point to see if you can gain some pressure....use good name brands; Lucas, STP, Motormedic.........good luck Check (and or replace) the Oil Sending Unit.
once many years ago the purge valve in my canister caused the light to go on , now I have a different problem. good luck
What does the warning light symbol orange engine with a letter k in it mean on a Peugeot 806 diesel?

What does the engine shaped light indicate?
the symbol of the engine with the lightening in the middle means your ecu has gone it "safe mode", also known as "limp home mode" , this means your ecu has detected a fault on your ecu/engine/braking systems. A mechanic with a fualt code reader will be needed to get your ecu to tell him whats at fault
that yellow light is the low coolant light either that or if its a manual it really really REALLY wants you to find the next gear
How do you reset the engine light on a 1998 Civic?
you can reset your computer and it will turn off the check enigne light by simply removing the negative cable from your battery for 10 seconds and then hooking it back up, when you start your car the light should go off within seconds, if their is a problem with your emission controls that is making the light come on to begin with it will come back on again, if it is just the computer telling the light to come on so you will take it in to the dealer then un hooking the negative cable will reset the computer which will reset the light, ya out,!
Have the "Throttle Position Sensor" checked. I don't think this is a component that you can easily check yourself with a meter. I had an '87 Dakota V6 that stalled just as you described. Replacing the throttle position sensor solved the problem. If you know how to retrieve error codes*, a faulty throttle position sensor should show up as code 23. * cycle the ignition switch from On to Off, and then On again within 5 seconds. The "check engine" light will flash the codes. Eight flashes / pause / eight flashes = the start of the test. After the two eights any stored error codes are flashed. You're looking for a two / pause / three flash sequence. When all errors have been reported the light will flash "55" (five flashes / pause / five flashes) to signal the end of the test. The '87 model is the first year of the Dakota and also the only year to have a carburetor, therefore there is no throttle position sensor (TPS). Throttle position sensors are a component of fuel injection systems. I'd take a look for any loose or disconnected vacuum hoses first. I'd then check timing and the rest of your ignition system. Then check your carburetor idle setting to make sure it's not set too low. Unfortunately there are quite a few possible causes for your problem. Get yourself a FACTORY service manual not a Hayne's or Chilton (there is a huge difference). Go through the diagnostic flow charts to try and norrow down your problem. Good luck and don't get too frustrated!

If there no codes showing problems but your check engine light is still on what is wrong?
the vehicles ECU (Engine Control Unit) stores information pertaining to these codes that trigger a check engine light. whenever you fix a problem the light will typically extinguish. in some cases the manufacturer will program the ECU to monitor a certain condition for a period of time, miles driven, or engine cycles( car off+ car start+ car drives+ car turns off) to ensure the fixed application continues to funtion properly. in most cases, as long as the problem does not come back, the light will extinguish on its own in a few days to a week of driving as you normally would. also, newer vehicles "learn" your driving habits in relation to fuel mapping for fuel economy and continued power. this would be another reason the check engine light is on with no codes drawn ( usually if a battery is disonnected then reconnected, this would occur).
if none of these apply to your situation, the best thing to do would be to go to the dealership. especially if the car is still under warranty. that is what the warranty is for. USE IT!!

How do you retrieve engine codes without a code reader on a 2002 Town Car?
the easiest way is take it to your local auto parts store. most places like AUTOZONE
or ADVANCE AUTO PARTS will Read them for FREE and give you the print out of the codes. now back in the day you used to be able to jump the pig tail with a paper click and count the times the lite flashed and that would be your code. but if the local auto parts places wont read them you struck buying a reader.

The emissions part of your state inspection failed What is the most common cause?
Most common? Probably the oxygen sensor.
But that's like asking your doctor, "what's the most common cause of a bellyache?" Usually it's gas but if it isn't, then what.
Don't guess. Find out what failed the test, look at the sheet that they gave you, it usually has a reason for the failure.
You don't give any clues, so I don't know the year of the vehicle, but if it's EFI you can connect an automotive code scanner to find out what the computer has to say on the subject. That's actually your best first step.
You can borrow, rent or buy a code scanner at most auto parts retailers.
