How do you reset the check engine light on a 1997 Mazda 626?
"Disconnect the negative terminal and push brake pedal for 30 seconds" worked great! One note: You must use actual key to unlock doors after battery disconnect to reset car alarm so car will start.
I recomend getting the car checked out by a professional. And you never unhook the positive battery cable first, you always do the negative firstl. And sometimes when you do this it erases the computers memory. so take to a professional.
If you HAVE TO, disconnect the negative battery terminal. Put your foot on the brake pedal for 30+ seconds.
I tried the previous answer of removing the negative battery cable, and holding the brake pedal for 30 seconds and it WORKED!!! Just got back from the emissions test, and passed. THANKS!!!

It should be located right on top of the valve cover, if not then it would be inline with about a 3/8" hose leading over to the intake manifold. Where is the pcv valve located for a 2000 Buick Regal LS 3800 series II motor?
The pcv valve is located under the map sensor in a plastic housing. If you stand on the passenger side of the vehicle and look under the hood, the map sensor is the sensor right in front of you. It should have three wires going to it. If you look closely, the sensor is clipped into a type of cap. If you grab the cap the sensor is clipped into and twist it counterclockwise, it should come off and the pcv valve will be inside. You may need new orings to prevent oil consumption. You may also need a needlenose pliers to remove the sensor from the upper intake manifold. Russtech67 you don't happen to have a pic. of the location? where it shows some details, I tried to find it, but no luck

Why oil pressure drop as an engine reaches operating temperature?
As the oil heats up it goes it flows much easier. This requires less pressure to move the oil throughout the engine. ALSO as described above, the viscosity (thickness) of the oil ,decreases which in turn makes oil flow, even in the narrowest area's, more freely. like electricity, more resistance, less current/flow, voltage (pressure) increases. but the reverse is also true..LESS resistance(thinner oil viscosity) when oil is hot. resistance to oil flow decreases, and the pressure (voltage) decreases.
