How do you locate the fuse for the cigarette lighter in 2003 Ford Explorer?
On the 2003 Ford Explorer - 4 door - in the fuse panel located under the instrument panel on the drivers side , fuse # 24 is a 15 amp fuse for the cigar lighter , OBD II
I've had 2 Ford Tauruses, one was a wagon, the other a four-door sedan.
As I recall, the headlights and taillights turn on with the same switch, but they are not on the same fuse in the fuse panel. I'd try checking the light bulbs first, even though it's rare for those to burn out, much less both at the same time. If the bulbs are o.k., check the fuses--- glove compartment on some models; under steering column, left side, small removeable panel on others; some have another fuse box under the hood on the passenger side of the car. If this doesn't work, you might have a broken connection somewhere, or a bad flasher relay, as the taillights are what flashes when you turn on your hazard lights. You might want to make sure your turn signals are working properly and if not, replace your turn-signal relay. If these relatively simple and cheap fixes don't work, you may need an auto tech to run a voltage check on the lighting circuit to find the dead spot in the wiring. Good luck and be careful!

How do you replace headlight and turn signal bulb on a 2000-2005 Mercury Sable?
How to replace the headlamp bulbs in a 2000-2005 Mercury Sable
To replace headlight bulb:
Do not twist, as there are alignment slots built into the lamp assembly socket.
It may take some effort to remove the lamp because it has a rubber o-ring type seal - try a bit of wiggling side-to-side
Make sure that the flat surface of the bulb socket is facing upward, and is firmly seated
Replacing front parking lamp/turn signal/cornering lamp bulbs
If the bulb is accidentally touched, it should be cleaned with rubbing alcohol before being used.

TURN SWITCH TO LAMP ON POSTION AND PRY OFF WITH SCREWDRIVER THEN PLACE KNOB BACK ON AT 180 DEGREES FROM WHERE YOU TOOK OFF AND THEN TURN TO OFF POSITION THEN TURN AND HOLD FOR THREE SECONDS AND IT WILL RELEASE LATCH IN CHIP AND SLIDES RIGHT OUT
This sounds more like a headlamp switch assembly suggestion than one for the actual headlamp assembly. Mine is a 1997, and it calls for turning the assembly retaining ring counterclockwise (when viewed from the back of the assembly), unplugging the wire by gently lifting the latch while pulling, and then removing the bulb.
The procedure for changing the headlamp and turn signal bulb on a 2000 Sable Wagon is to remove the headlamp assembly by first removing the small hex screw that holds the assembly to the body and then remove the two clips that look like half moons and push down through the body to engage the headlamp assembly. Simply pry both of these straight out and remove the entire assembly. Undo the electrical connections and twist off the retainer for either the headlight or turn signal bulb. Reverse the procedure for reassembly.
This procedure is detailed and illustrated in the Owners Manual - See "Related Questions" below for more
changing the headlight bulbs easy as 123that's easy there are two pins you pull out, they are located on top of the lights at the back of them.(when you open your hood look straight down at the light the two black little pieces pull out) then there's a screw its an 8mm i think loosen it and the light well pull out. then just twist the harness and there's the lightWhat part of the engine will coolant boil first?
The cylinder head
The cylinder head area is the area where coolant will boil first if coolant is present. The area directly above the combustion chamber will get hot first, which is the bottom area of the cylinder head. The old saying that heat rises is still true. Heated coolant will usually exit the upper radiator hose to the radiator and as coolant is cooled in the radiator, it will circulate down into the block where it will be heated again to repeat the cycle. The coolant pump present in most engines just helps this natural cycle.
How do you replace the windshield washer reservoir tank on a Mercury Sable - Ford Taurus?
The washer solvent reservoir comes out from the bottom - which will likely involve taking the passenger side front wheel off and pulling back the wheel liner.
Use the "Related Questions" below about the washer pump as a good starting point - add in removing the mounting bolt up on the inside fender and the reservoir should fall into your hands.

What is a CD dj in a 99 Taurus?

All the radio controls information is in a separate publication - which of course I do not have.
At the very least, this is a good guess
1993 came equipped with R-12. Sorry, but that kind of refrigerant is VERY expensive, and you cannot buy it without a licence. If the system has not already been converted to R-134a, then you may want to consider it. You can go to a parts store, and ask the parts counter person to help you figure out what parts you need and how to do it. If you do get some R-12, try it--it's pretty easy--buy a bottle that has a pressure indicator on it, and insert its nozzle into one of the refrigerant valves, under the hood, that sticks up (they're usually silver-colored--check your car's manual, or online info sources, for exact location). Follow the instructions that come with the canister of refrigerant. If you don't know whether anything else is wrong with your car's air conditioning, this is the first thing to try, but be aware that often this won't fix the problem, as the problem may be elsewhere. One cause is sometimes a stuck air blend door, which you might be able to get to by removing the glove compartment (instructions are to be found on the Internet--otherwise, you'd have to remove the entire dashboard), but one way to test whether the blend door is stuck, is to listen for its motor humming as you move the hot-to-cold dial back and forth between hot and cold. If you hear the motor humming when you do this, and no clicking (caused by a stuck blend door), the motor is probably OK, but the blend door may have broken loose from the blend door motor. Getting inside and taking a look will tell you what's happening with these parts.
How much would it cost to get a side view mirror painted on a 1999 Ford Taurus?
Buy the correct color side mirror at a Salvage Yard and replace it. Can be done with simple tools.
How can I tell if my 1998 Ford Taurus has dual overhead cam?
If the engine is labeled DURATEC V6 under the hood.
It should also have a 24V DOHC emblem on the front fenders, but those sometimes fall off or don't get replaced if the car is repainted. Another indicator is if there's NO room in the engine compartment - especially if you start wondering 'how would I ever get to the back sparkplugs" - then you're likely looking at the DOHC.
