Replace oil sending unit with a manual gauge

after the hood is up, three inches from the front of the headlight assembly observe the two upside-down "L" shaped tabs on either end of the assembly. they are about one inch wide. push them back and up. this might take a little extra effort if no one has ever done it. once both tabs are up, wiggle the entire assembly forward. undo the wire (i guess it's the bright light wire) that is keeping you from pulling the assembly out as far as possible. looking at the back of the assembly, you will see a two inch wide rubber cap. this pulls right off, exposing the bulb. twist the bulb out, and replace. i hope this helps someone...

For most Saturns there is a button inside the under-hood fuse panel. With the key on and the engine off, press the button for 15 seconds and it should clear the code... I think. I have to refer to the manual whenever I do that so you may have to do the same.

On the cars I've worked on, you don't have to adjust anything. Sometimes you have to rotate the actual TPS and then screw it in once it's resistance is where it should be... but I don't see why you would have to do anything to the throttle body itself.

Remove the drive belt, remove the crank pulley (need a special puller for this), remove the plastic shield, and finally remove the two bolts that secure the sensor to the engine. This is all done through the passenger side wheel well with the wheel removed.

Too complicated to describe here; Get a copy of Haynes repair manual #38010 at any good parts store. It has detailed instructions and some helpful pictures. Cost is about $20.

If there are two conductors leading to the switch, just disconnect them both from the switch, strip them to the bare wire, and short them together. If that doesn't work, tape them apart and try that. If there is only one conductor leading to the switch, it either needs to be stripped and bolted directly to the transaxle body, or disconnected and isolated completely. Y'know, that switch is there for a damned good reason. Have ya tried just replacing the switch? Just don't start the car in gear PLEASE. Is it automatic? Make sure your PNRDL stick ain't lying to you.

Actually if car is not running hot and temp gauge is staying within range then car is probably fine. I've seen a few that didn't have a lot of pressure on hoses because the flow of coolant was just that good. If you have too much pressure on a hose then you may need to worry.

if there is not a small two-wire sensor in the side of the air filter box cover, then it is built into the MAF sensor. If it has a separate IAT sensor, then the pigtail for it will actually be off of the MAF sensor harness pigtail.

I've seen a 04 Grand Prix with a LS1, so I would say yes but lots of custom fab on mating the engine to the transmission/flexplate and headers/exhaust.

after the cause of the code is repaired, you reset with a scan tool, or by unhooking the battery.

remove pwer window switch disconnect wires. using another wire, bridge the wires in swith to complete circuit window will go up

There is a safety mechanism that prevents you from removing the key when the car is not in park, sometimes the solenoid could fail, or a fuse may be blown.

If you take off the cover around the steering column, you'll see a white, plastic device behind the switch cylinder. At the bottom, there's a metal button you can push to release the key lock.

It's possible to remove the device altogether without causing problems, but you'll be able to turn the car off while you are in gear, which could be a problem.

Transmission is going

The Mass Air Flow sensor is located to the right of the engine, it is on the cold air intake side. You have to take the plastic guard off, then you will need the correct torx driver bit with the hole cut out in it. There are only four screws, it is pretty easy. Just be careful with the new one when putting it in.

Oh, No! It is probably the cursed heater core, villain of many car repair dramas! This little gem is what transfers the heat from the engine coolant into the passenger compartment, and that means it has hot water being pumped through it when in operation, and then, it sits, with no flow, for months at time, in some cases. This leads to corrosion, and leaks, and can only be cured by removing and replacing the heater core, which is located inside of a duct work and air box behind the dashboard. You will get to know your dashboard well, if you choose to to take this on yourself. A dash once removed is seldom ever the same, even when the pros do it. Oh, and did I mention that most of these procedures have to be performed while trying to stand on your head in the front seat of your car? A popular fix among backyard mechanics in a hurry is to bypass the heater core, by rerouting the heater hoses. This is not a very good idea in any climate where the windshield can fog up, seeing as there is hardly any defroster action without heat. A heater core should probably run about 75-100 dollars, although I haven't checked prices recently. A shop will charge anywhere from 250 up, including parts, to change out the core, depending on how depraved the owner is. I would suggest checking around to get some estimates, before taking this on yourself, and make sure that you have a maintenance manual for the specific year, make, and model, in your possession, before attempting this job.

you gotta take it to a dealer they will have to know the vin # and they will give you the 4 digit code and they should do it for you

yes - but they have to be top feed injectors. you can also get low and high impedence injectors, i cant rember which the RX7 uses but it has to be the same impedence. CC can change to suit the desired amount of fuel. cheers.
