Heating AC and Engine Cooling

Heating, air conditioning (AC) and engine cooling require a radiator to transfer heat. Heating a cabin requires heat to be transferred from an engine block. Engine cooling blows the heat out of the engine. AC uses refrigerants to cool air.

How do you bleed or purge the air out of the cooling system on a 1991 Buick Park Avenue?

Just keep the coolant level up and it should take care of itself. If you have run out of coolant, find out why. After you have repaired the problem, fill the radiator as best you can, fill the coolant reservoir to the full line then watch the reservoir. If the level drops, add more before you start the engine. The coolant system will purge itself of any air if there are no leaks.

What would cause a 1994 Pontiac Sunbird to overheat causing coolant to pour out of an elbow on the firewall and is this an overflow?

there should be 2 hoses going into that firewall for the heater core, it is probably bad. find the 2 hoses and connect them together until you can repair the heater core, at least it will be driveable. one end of the hose attaches to where the top radiator hose connects to the motor, and the other end is on the water pump towards the bottom of the opposite side.

How do you change the cabin air filter in a 2006 Chevrolet aveo?

If you still have the owners manual, there is a detailed guide on how to do this. Look under Passaner Compartment Air Filter. If you dont have it, then do the following: 1. Open the glove box about half way 2. Hold you hands on the top and bottom of the glovebox, and pull up on the glovebox. You will have to pull really hard, but it will eventually come off. 3. Right behind the glovebox just left of the center of the glovebox is a long panel. Push on the tab at the bottom until it is pushed all the way in and the tab releases at the bottom. 4. Pull that cover off 5. The Cabin Air Filter is straight ahead. You will have to pull it out and bend it towards the passenger side of the car. Just go slow, and it will eventually come out. Reinstalling is these steps in reverse.
