That much play is usually a bad steering gear box. Best bet would be to get a new one. It could also be some extremely worn tie rod ends.

I have this same car and engine. Use a Delco factory starter only. Aftermarkets, Chevy and High Performance starters won't fit. The Delco takes about two minutes to install.

Is the car in park? Do the lights turn on? If so are the dim, or bright? If no lights you likely have a dead battery. From there I would check fuses. Good luck.

No. There is no such thing. TAke it to a local garage and have it properly diagnoised and an estimatee for repair.

.take. off glovebox door! then remove glovebox itself. if airconditioned, remove air ducks right behind glovebox. there are two and they have screws at the connections. you can then access the radio and rear radio strap. jeff

no, check the coolant reservoir 1st, if its full then after car is at operating temp. look underneath and see if any coolant or water is on the ground below the water pump if so the weep hole is probably leaking on the water pump check the componet if all check out it maybe the thermostat fairly enxpensive to replace so i would replace the thermostat and check the temp again but if the water pump is leaking it needs to be replaced

The WS-6 option started in 1978......so I'd say that's going to be hard to nail down.

Remove the water supply hose from the thermostat housing. Remove the thermostat housing retaining bolts. The thermostat will lift out. Reverse the process to install the new thermostat.

The Ignition Control Module (ICM) is located directly above the coil. If you remove the 2 bolts holding the coil on and then romove the coil mounting plate from the car you will see a small rectangular module with wires plugged into it. This is the ICM.

Typically, if it is a super duty, you'll find "455SD" decals on the shaker scoop. If yours is a high output or standard engine, it will be badged as simply 4 5 5. If you're still unsure, the super duty utilised round port cylinder heads and an LS2 intake. It also included cast iron exhaust header-manifolds.

"The turn signal flasher is on the drivers side behid the steering wheel have someone take it apart." ^^ That's the worst answer ever, by someone who clearly knows nothing of what they speak. The flasher is built into the hazards switch on these cars. To get at it, remove the bezel around the radio, remove the 3 screws holding in the hazard switch from behind and unplug. Simple as that. Your local dealer has new switches for around $28 (and prob has them in stock since most were faulty).

the firing order 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. okay this is the way i set mines. on the dist. the number 1 plug terminal (should be facing the cyl. bore number one) then from there go clockwise in the firing order.

another way is to look at the dist rotor when the number 1 cyl. is in top dead center(be careful there are two top dead centers for ever dist. rotation). when you have the right top dead center then go by the dist. rotor to which every dist. plug terminal the dist. rotor points to, that would be number one plug wire then go clockwise in firing order.
