How do you bleed the cooling system on a Mitsubishi 3000 GT?

To bleed the cooling system on a Mitsubishi 3000 GT, start by ensuring the engine is cool and the radiator cap is off. Fill the radiator with coolant, then run the engine with the heater set to maximum to allow air pockets to escape. As the engine warms up, keep an eye on the coolant level, topping it off as necessary. Once the thermostat opens and the coolant circulates properly, check for any air bubbles escaping and close the radiator cap once the system is free of air.

How do you replace the lower radiator hose on a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder?

To replace the lower radiator hose on a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder, first, ensure the engine is cool and then drain the coolant from the radiator. Remove the hose clamps at both ends of the lower radiator hose and detach the hose from the radiator and engine. Install the new hose by securing it with the clamps, then refill the radiator with coolant and check for leaks. Finally, run the engine to ensure proper circulation and check the hose for any signs of leaking.

How do you dry high heat paint?

To dry high heat paint effectively, ensure that the painted item is placed in a well-ventilated area with low humidity. If possible, use a heat source like a heat lamp or an oven set at a low temperature (following the manufacturer's guidelines) to accelerate the drying process. Typically, high heat paints require a curing period, so allow sufficient time for the paint to harden fully before using the item. Always refer to the specific product instructions for optimal drying and curing times.

Where is the radiator drain plug on 1999 Lincoln Navigator?

The radiator drain plug on a 1999 Lincoln Navigator is located on the bottom of the radiator, typically on one of the sides. It is a small, plastic or metal valve that can be turned to allow coolant to drain. Make sure to place a container underneath to catch the fluid when opening the drain plug. Always consult your owner's manual for specific details and safety precautions.

Where is the radiator fan switch on a 1990 Pontiac firebird formula 305 injected?

On a 1990 Pontiac Firebird Formula with a 305 injected engine, the radiator fan switch is typically located on the engine's coolant thermostat housing or near the radiator itself. It may be mounted on the side or bottom of the housing, depending on the specific configuration. To access it, you might need to remove any surrounding components for better visibility. Always consult the service manual for precise locations and instructions.

How much antifreeze does a 1996 Saturn radiator hold?

1 gallon of antifreeze and 1 gallon of distilled water mixed 50/50 is sufficient to fill the system after it is drained and flushed. Or you can buy 2 gallons of premixed coolant. Be sure and replace the thermostat and bleed all air from the system. Make sure the heater control is set to HOT.

What is wrong with my water well system has strong pressure then is gradualy looses pressure then shuts off then after a couple of minutes it comes back on?

I have been in the business of repairing well water systems for over 30 years. Your question is a common one believe it or not.

The pressure switch is not matched properlly to the well tanks air pressure. In addition the pipe fitting that goes to the pressure switch is almost clogged shut, causing an erratic sense of water pressure signal being sent to the pressure switch.

If this problem has been going on for a while, it is possible that the submersible typw well pump has been short cycling and this may of caused over heating of the pumps motor. Over heating pump motors are thermally protected and will shut off, cool down and re-start.

How To Fix It ?, New pressure switch, clean the pipe fitting to the switch. Put air pressure in the empty well tank that is only 2 pounds less the the ON setting of the switch range you are using.

If the pump has been over heating for too long of a period of time, New well pump.

Can you shorten cast iron radiator do you need sealant?

In most cases, YES they can be shortened and NO sealant is normally needed. It depends on the push nipples.

Can you paint an auto radiator?

Yes, copper cored radiators with copper tanks should be painted, but the core area should only be painted lightly (only just covering) , as painting heavily will reduce heat transfer. Modern aluminum cross- flow radiators with plastic tanks are not painted.

What would cause downstairs radiators to be cold while upstairs are hot?

It's because heat travels upwards and cold downwards so naturally the upstairs will become hotter then the downstairs.

Where is the top up for a peugeot 406 diesel radiator?

How do you flush out a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire radiator when you can't find the drain plug?

It may or may not have a drain plug for the radiator. Look at the bottom of the radiator usually on the passenger side of the car. It doesn't really look like an actual plug. It is more like a plastick wing nut, just unscrew it and it should drain. Some radiators don't have drain plugs at all. If it doesn't just take off the lower radiator hose from either the radiator or the engine block and do it that way

i think the sunfire drain is on the driverside of radiator facing forward. it should be a 1/4 inch hole in center. you have to turn and pull to drain. be careful not to damage plug or radiator.

How long can you drive with oil leading into the radiator?

Oil in the radiator indicates a possible severe problem, where coolant could also leak into the oil. Driving an engine in this situation at all could lead to severe engine damage.

Why does your radiator cooling fan not work The fuses are good.?

Check to see if you are getting power to fan - if so bad fan motor
Run a hot line to fan to see if it starts - if not bad fan motor
Fan sensor bad?

How do you replace a radiator fan on a 1995 Chevy Beretta?

First remove the fan troul(if on car), then the body shaft directly behind but still attached I think is a 7/8 crescent wrench will turn counter clockwise. The fan will then come apart from the water pump and you will figure it out from there if not theres something wrong.

Where do you add radiator Stop Leak to a 1996 Oldsmobile Achieva?

I have used radiator stop leak before in my 1996 Olds Achieva SC with the V6. I put it directly into the coolant resovor. It went in fine for me. This did not give me much help though. I would not recommend using stop leak. It will clog your heater core and then you will have more than the radiator as your problem. Fine a new radiator and replace it that is the best advidce i can give you.

How do you unclog a radiator so the water will come out without taking it to a shop?

I'm not really sure what you mean but if you need to drain it and the tap on the bottom is stuck, undo the clamp on the lower hose and drain it into a pan. If you meant the core is clogged, you are pretty much out of luck. Try an autoparts store for radiator cleaning solution or mix 50/50 water and CLR. Do not leave this mix in there long because antifreeze is what lubricates the water pump and you will eventually burn it up by running anything else but antifreeze.
