Is there a hole in firewalls to the engine compartment where you can run a wire from the cabin area to the battery?

Sure just find where other wires pass through and push it through with the tip of your screw driver, be careful not to nick or stretch any of the existing wires.

How do you adjust the water level in the bowl of a water closet?

If you are talking about a low water level, this usually can be adjusted by insuring the fill line from the ball-cock (fill valve) is not clogged. This runs water into the overflow tube inside your tank and insures there is enough water in the bowl to create a seal and prevent sewer gas from comming up through the water closet. If you want less water in the bowl, this is usually regulated by the manufacturer of the water closet by the height of the "S Trap" molded into the bowl.

Mine broke too. You have to replace the whole thing. Not just the clasp. I recommend buying one online. Otherwise, the dealer will charge $300 or more.

What does the oil light look like?

There is no such thing as an oil pressure light on most cars. Some cars have oil pressure gauges, and all have a "Engine" light or "Check Engine" light with a picutre of either an oil can, or Engine Block

The oil pressure warning light usually looks like a little red oil can.

The check engine light looks like a little yellow engine.

How do you replace the thermostat on a four cylinder 2001 Jetta?

My Dad and I did this the other day. You have to take the alternator off to get to it. Once you get that out of the way you will see the thermostat, which has two bolts that come off- careful because your coolant will be pouring out. Replacing the thermostat is the easy part- just make sure you have the o-ring that goes with it.

What will a bad mass air flow sensor cause?

What will a bad mass air flow sensor cause?

Mass Air flow sensor regulates amount of air coming in to the amount of fuel being used. If this sensor is bad you would have either a overly rich or lean fuel condition. Check the fuel pump as mass air flow sensor has no moving parts and rarely goes out.

How to install radiator bottom hose?

remove the old one by loosening the screw clamps and sliding them down the hose, then pull on the hose with a twisting motion. Do NOT yank side to side as you can damage the radiator this way. If it is stuck *carefully* cut a slit in the hose (not too deep you don't want to damage the outlet, the radiator is only plastic there) from the end about 1-1.5" in and peel the hose off the outlet.

Compare the new hose to the old one to make sure it is correct, then slide the new clamps on each end, putting them at least 3-4"down the hose to keep them out of the way. Guide the new hose in place, then slide it onto the outlets at least as far as the old one was. slid the clamps to about 1/2" from the ends of the hose and tighten them until they are snug.

Once you've refilled the system and started the engine, watch for leaks and tighten the hose clamps as needed.

How do you replace the tail light socket on a 1999 VW Jetta?

I have a 1999 Jetta TDI and it is fairly easy to replace a bulb in the tail socket light assembly if that is what you are asking.

1. Open the trunk.

2. There is material covering the location of the tail light assembly. It is velcro-ed in and opens like a door. Figure that out and open it.

3. You will see the assembly and it is locked into place by a plastic wedge/snap piece. You can see it if you look carefully. Pinch either side of the plastic wedge so that it will release through the slot it was placed in.

4. You have to jiggle and work the assembly out of its compartment. It is not easy and may take a little work. There are times it seems like you may break it. Don't worry, it does come out.

5. Replace the bulb with the correct replacement one and then reverse the steps above.

Happy replacing.

What number fuse is it for cigarette lighter on 2001 mondeo?

The fuse is F68 situated at the far left of the fuse board behind the glove box. You will find 3 slots to this fuse, you will still use a mini fuse (15amp) however, if you place the fuse in the top and central slots the cigarette socket will only work when the engine is running..... in the central and bottom slots, the socket is constantly live.

How do you remove the gear shift knob on a 1995 Saturn SC2?

automatic, or standard 5 speed

Answeron a 5 speed AnswerWell.. i have a 98 sc2 5-speed and all i did was remove my center counsel. there are about 2 screws on both the pass. and div. side, about in center-rear. a plastic cover might conseal it. just use a flat tip or a pocket knife to open it. Just look carfuly and you shouldn't miss it. you might have as try in the rear of the counsel so you should just be able to take it out. lift from the back first and then the front of the counsel. The plastic part for the radio and the thermostat might clip on to it so you might have to take that out too. I know i didnt. There will be wires for going to your window controler and dim light so you should just be able to quick disconnect them. this should expose the likage for the shift knob. Move the leather cover for the Kobe out of the way so you have more space to work with. I replaced it the original with a shift knob that was 3'' shorter. but if you just want the actual knob itself then it should just come right off by pulling.you might have to turn it about 90 degress and then pull it but im not too sure about that..all i did was replace the knob with linkage (short sifter)

you have to tear it off because the shifter has a c clamp inside the material part of the shift knob.

How many kilometres are left when the fuel light comes on on a 2008 Jetta 2.5l?

I own a 2000 VW Jetta VR6 and I have about 35-40 miles left on mine. This is how to calculate the number for your car. First, you have to calculate the average kilometers per liter fuel efficiency. You can do this by filling up the tank (do not top off) and resetting the tripmeter. Then drive regularly for several hundred km. Then refill your tank and note how many liters you had to add. Then divide the number of km driven by the number of liters, giving you the km/l fuel efficiency. HINT: you can do this multiple times to increase accuracy and to notice if you have a drop in fuel efficiency, which may be a sign of something wrong with your car.

Once you have the fuel efficiency calculated, you drive your car, after filling up the tank, until the fuel light comes on. Then immediately fill the tank to capacity (once again, do not top off). Subtract the amount you had to fill up from the tank capacity (documented in the user manual and I believe inside the door of the fuel cap). This gives you the reserve fuel in your tank when the light comes on. In my car it is about 1.5 gallons.

Finally, take that number, the reserve fuel capacity, and multiply it by the fuel efficiencey in km/l and this will give you the number of km left when the fuel light comes on.

Where is the AC low pressure port on a 1999 suburban?

It is located on the top of the air conditioning compressor, facing the front of the vehicle. It will have a plastic cap covering it,there are two caps, one is the high port and the other is the low ,recharge port. Both plastic caps are the same so run your ac for a few minutes with your vehicle running, turn off vehicle and touch the pipes leading to or from the plastic caps, the one that has a cold touch will be the low port, paint that plastic cap any color you wish to make finding the low port easy next time.
