either the battery is bad or there is an electrical draw in the car. a simple test to check for a short or draw, with a hot battery in the car remove either battery cable but only one place a test light one end on the battery and the other on the removed cable if the test light glows for a second or 2 this is normal , if it glows steady there is a draw in the car , remove the fuses one at a time until the test light goes out , once the light goes out this is the circuit where the problem is located . if the light never goes out then it is most likely bad diodes in the alternator. happy hunting.

Most vehicles have a switch to do this. If there isn't one you will probably disable the antilock brake system at the same time if you pull the fuse or unplug it. Anyway, look in the owners manual for the fuse to pull or simply unplug a wheel speed sensor and the ABS & the TRAC will shut down (lights on dash will come on). Then you need electrical tape to put over the dash lights so they don't drive you crazy.

It depends if your car has the four barrel carburetor or is electronically fuel injected. carbureted cars have the fuel filter located behind the carburetor inlet nut. Just follow the metal fuel line from the pump to the carburetor. If your car is fuel injected cars the filter is located in a bracket on the lower left portion of the engine.

there is a fuse panel under your hood on the driver side next to the throttle and there's one in the trunk side panel of the driver side

You have to take coil packs off and then they are easier to get to. You will see the wires going to the plugs.

Well I'm not 100% sure but I know you have to start by putting down the back seats. Then you take out all the plastic molding, then you lift up the top cover that is on the speakers. I wish it were as simple as going through the trunk but its not. Hope this helps.

I assume where it has a 195 degree thermostat that operating temp should be in that range 190-220

You remove the center cap. Under that will be a retaining nut. A special tool is used to unscrew this possibly located by your spare tire in trunk. If you do not have the tool, you can try and turn it with pliers or tap a socket over it and use a ratchet.

I had this same problem when i installed my stereo CD player its a fuse that blew... changed it out and no more honk when i turn the key! hope it helps!@

Using a screwdriver remove all the screws in the door panel, remove the clips, and pull the panel away from the frame, gently. Remove any wiring connection between the panel and the frame, and then pull the panel off the door frame.

I'm familiar with most Caddilacs and I believe its a serpentine belt that controls all the pulleys. If that is the case, follow these directions, if not Caddillac has a great forum web site that would address this. It's sponsored by indiviuals but Cadi Techs sign on for help.First read these directions carefully and see if removal of the battery will help you. I didn't need to on my Seville and eldorado but they were late models than yours. If you can get your hand to all those pulleys, you're straight. You will need a, or should get a, 1" ratchet wrench. The pulley on the top right side of the engine is the tension pulley and has 1" hole in the arm resting towards the back of the engine. Insert the wrench and make sure it's in tight (theirs quite a bit of tension there).Pull the wrench toward the front of the engine (with your ratchet wrench set accordingly, tightening position. This will lift the pulley and loosen the belt. Slide the belt off the components, paying attention to where and how the belt winds around the components. You should do this first as the diagrams can be a little confusing. You can bring the tension pulley back down but be aware of where it is resting, it may be neccassary to jam a wrench or pry bar against the block to keep it from hitting the alternator fan or other frail component, Be careful of those power steering lines that run around there. Next, check all those pulleys for sounds or stiffness, except for the flywheel they should move freely by hand (except the air conditioner but I can't remember). There's sometimes a reason that a belt has gone bad other than wear and tear. Install the new belt in reverse, aligning all the pulleys around the belt accordingly. This is perhaps the trickiest part because you work your way to the top from both sides of the engine. The trick is to slip the belt under the tension wheel, while pulling the wrench forward and keeping the belt on the alternator and power steering pulley. Two knowlegeable hands are better than one but If you've done it in the middle of a snowbank in south Boston, it becomes second nature. Eyeball the final product and be sure the pulley rests in the middle of each pulley past the edge. This is especially cumbersome on the fly wheel on the bottom of the engine. If it's resting off the lip, you must loosen the pulley and reach down to push it onto the pulley, so it doesn't wear out the belt prematurely. Once again two hands, one under the wheel well on the bottom ofthe engine, and one lossening the belt slightly, are better than one. One little trick for the future. Should your AC ever go on you and the pulley seizes, you can get out of a financial jam by buying a smaller belt and winding around past the AC pulley. Some Auto Stores specify your belt without the AC. Otherwize you wind an old cut belt past the AC, under the tension wheel while you raise it to where it usually sits, and cut off the excess belt. Take it to the auto parts store and have them match it up. Rock and roll.

it is just what it says, overflow, just a piece of hose about two feet long, if you grasp it and pull, it will come straight up, just finised working on mine. hope this helps, mark

under the driver side dash, you should be able to remove the panel with a 7mm socket look for the cobra "brain" small black box with wiring coming out of it. if you unplug it you will need to reconnect the starter wire if there is a starter kill installed. unplug the brain then try starting the car if it starts you are done if not then there will be a yellow or purple wire in the main harness of the car, wires that come from key cylinder it will have been cut and run to a relay it needs to be reconnected to itself and then your alarm is perm. disabled

On my 96 eldorado there are 3 fuse boxes. 2 in engine compartment 1 in trunk. The regular fuse box in engine compartment is on the drivers side under a plastic panel with an access door that you slide up and pull open, it's about 4"x4" and is marked fuses. The second one is maxi fuses and relays and is under the plastic cover, you have to pull the large plastic cover up and out to access this one. The one in the trunk is located on the back of the seat, drivers side. Pull the black material down to access the fuse panel. on your 98, again this is on my 96.

I had a 89 Eldorado and the fuse box is under the glove compartment behind the kick panel.
