With bleeder closed, have other person pull in the clutch and hold it in,you open the bleeder to let out the air or fluid, then close the bleeder, when you have it closed, then tell the other person to let go of the clutch. Repeat this till all the air is out.

Engines for the 86-89 B2000 and 86-93 B2200 are bolt in swaps. The short block from the 1st gen Ford Probe, and the 88-92 626 and MX-6 is the same, just bolt on you're cylinder head and accessories. Although I believe the B2600i has the same engine mounts the bell housing does not match and is not easily swapped.

Then you do everyhing on the ground. Clutch and flywheel !

How do you bleed a clutch master cylinder?
You can do it a few ways. One is called BENCH BLEEDING in which you would put the master cylinder in a vise and run a bleeding kit into the reservoir and pump the piston with a screw driver until there are no more bubbles ( you will still have to follow the next step as well but this makes it go faster) THIS IS ONLY IF YOU ARE INSTALLING A NEW MASTER CYLINDER. The second way is the normally process in which you have someone sit in the car and pump the pedal 4-5 times ( pushing the pedal all the way down and up each time ) and on the last pump have your buddy hold the pedal to the floor then you open the valve on the slave cylinder and let the fluid out ( dont let them release the pedal until you close the valve or you will suck air back in) do this this a few times until the pedal feels good. If you are alone and dont have someone to help you, you can just open the valve on the slave cylinder and let it GRAVITY BLEED. As we all know fluid is heavier than air so after awhile the fluid will push out the air in the system. Keep checking the reservoir as you dont want to run it dry. This is also the same as when working on the brake system.

How do you adjust a clutch on a kenworth truck?
Crank the engine over until you see the adjustment bolt on the clutch in the bell housing. Now while depressing the clutch pedal, push in the adjusting bolt and turn it clockwise to add free play and counter clockwise to remove free play.
For safety purposes you should use the access hole under the bottom of the bell housing to gain access to the flywheel. Then use a large flat head screwdriver to turn the flywheel to gain proper access to the adjustment bolt. Not all pressure plates have this adjusting bolt. Early models have a bolt and lock. Remove lock and turn ring to adjust clutch. Proper adjustment will be achieved when you have 3/8"-1/2" clearance between the clutch brake disc and the clutch release bearing. Once this dimension is achieved and not until, you can adjust your linkage for free play. If your clutch was properly adjusted when first installed achieving the correct distance between the clutch brake and the release bearing will be the only adjustment necessary, assuming no unusual wear in the linkage! These earlier clutches require a special tool for ease of the adjustment procedure, it can be done with patience and an assortment of pry bars, but the proper tool is the cats meow. By all means do not start the engine and depress the clutch prior to replacing the lock and lock bolt! This over sight will cause the adjusting ring to move to its full extreme and you will have to begin again.

simple, but involved.
You'll need to remove the transmission and transfer case ( do it separately as they are quite heavy together )
You 'll see the clutch attached to the flywheel still on the engine, remove the bolts holding it on ( pay attention to it's orientation as well as the clutch disk, hole placement as it will be easier to line up the new one )
Once the old one is removed, line up the new clutch ( use an alignment tool, your new clutch may come with one, this makes sure the clutch disk is lined up with the pilot bearing and the center of the clutch springs.
tighten the clutch to torque specs, remove the alignment tool, and reinstall the trans.
One note, I suggest replacing the throw out bearing ( this may include the clutch slave cylinder too ) before reinstalling, you don't want to do this again soon.

- Remove battery
- remove wheels and wheel assemblies
- remove air filter and intake assemblies
- remove backup light switch connector
- remove and mark shifter assemblies
- remove speedometer cable
- remove 24mm plug from transaxel housing and drain fluid
- remove plastic splash guards from font of body-10mm and 12mm wrenches
- remove 30mm axel nuts from both sides
- remove fron ball joint control arm bolts -14mm wrench
- tap transaxels out
- pull transaxels out from transmission
- remoive starter cables -12mm wrench
- remove 3 bolts on thin flywheel cover under car-10mm and 14 mm wrenches
- remove transaxel bracket - 3 17mm bolts
- remove lower transaxel -to-engine mount - 14 mm wrench
go back up top and remove the 12mm bols holding the hydraulic slave cylinder on the front of the transaxel housing
- losen only!!!! the upper transaxel-to-engine mount
- remove the lower transaxel-to-engine mount - 17mm and 14mm bolts
- position a jack under the engine oil pan to support engine
- position a floor jack with wheels under transaxel housing
- remove all bolt securing the transaxel housing
- separate transaxel housing from engine and lower it
- remove clutch cover - 12mm bolts
- remove clutch
- using a centering tool, install new clutch
- re-install clutch cover - torque to 15 ft/lbs
now, put it all back together. I found that the best way to re-attach the tyransaxel housing to the engine was to ust an engine hoist on wheels as I was doing this operation solo. If I'd had help, a motorcycle jack would have done quite nicely or a floorjack on wheels if I'd had two helpers

In my manual for the Vauxhall VX 2300, year 1977, it says that the right Brake Fluid is of the type GM-4653-M.
Trouble is that I can not find out on the internet weather this is Dot 3 or Dot 4 Brake Fluid (DOT 5?)...... Would be nice if someone did have that answer.

Ford Dealership have just quoted me £925.00 for replacement clutch assembly plus £335.00 for a new dual mass flywheel if damaged which apparently is a common problem to Mk3 Mondeos. The reason for the considerable cost is due to the entire front sub-frame having to be removed to get to th clutch approx 5 to 6 hrs labour which has been confirm by several different garages however after asking around I have been quoted £650.00 for the clutch assemly & flywheel using an independent BMW specialist. I hope this helps,albeit painful for what Ford state is a consumable item and it will give you a price guide for a replacement.
What does a hi-hat drop clutch do?
A drop clutch is a device that allows a drummer to close the hi-hat with a single stroke of a drumstick so that, while the drummer is using both feet to play two bass drum pedals, the drummer can play his sticks on the closed hi-hat. Without a drop clutch device on the hi hat, when the drummer takes his foot off the hi hat in order to play the second bass drum pedal, the hi hat stays open. The "stuck open" top hi hat does not lend itself to being played repetitively with a stick. The drop clutch, when struck once with a drumstick, allows the top hi hat cymbal to fall down onto the bottom hi hat cymbal by using gravity. Therefore, although the drummer is no longer using his or her foot to keep the hi hat closed, the drummer can play sticks on the closed hi hat cymbals while using his hi hat foot on a second bass drum pedal. When the drummer is ready to open and close the hi hat by foot, stepping on the hi hat pedal re-engages the drop clutch so that the top and bottom hi hat cymbals are held open again.
