it's under the throttle body ,(air intake) on right side(back of the motor)pully and belts is on the leftside(front of motor)1999 grand am 3.4 sfi.

easy.......there r bolts (like 6 or so) that u need to undo. U have to take off the door handle cover and the grasp handle on the door and the triangle cover up by the mirror and disconnect any power windows or locks. When you are positive u have all the screws out and no electrical cords are connected through the door, just pull (gently) on the clamps that hold the panel on. Go around the door and carefully pull them out one or two at a time because you don't want to break any.

Remember, you did not include Year of vehicle so general answer only.

Remove head/signal light assembly and any other lights.

Work around the fender removing all the fasteners. To do this the inner fender has to come out.

Remember there are probably bolts hidden in the door jam area and behind splash guards and inner fender.

It is probably also "Glued" down with sealant in a couple places, Care and Patience is required to not damage things.

the p0507 is the idle control system (high rpm) basically your rev limiter which responds when your VSS (vehicle speed sensor is malfunctioning) causing the computer to think the engine is reving to high so it limits the throttle response limiting your rpm's (sense of no power when appying throttle)....hope this helps Arlen

I had the same problem with mine. It was the thermostat, it was sticking and would not open until the engine got very warm and would force the thermostat to pop open, then the car would fill with warm air until the engine got back within operating temps or cooler, then it would stick shut again.

It is 1-6-5-4-3-2 and the dist turns clockwise.

It is done with the radio controls. The complete, detailed, instructions can be found in your owner's manual. Don't have one, then get one. Dealer, salvage yard, e-bay, or do a Google Search with the term, "automobile owner's manual".

This is not a helpful answer, so here is how you actually do it. 1999-2006 Pontiacs

after an oil change the system needs to be reset. To do this, start with the ignition in the on position (but the engine not running) in the driver side fuse box you will see a button that says reset (it will likely be a red button) push the button once and release it. the 'change oil light' will blink, when it does, push in and hold the reset button until you hear the car chime (it will ding a few times) and the the light goes out. You'll be set for another 3000 miles. Also, this will work for many GM models in the similar year range.

Sounds like you have run afoul of the dreaded PassLock security system --- deals with the problem that GM engineered a security system that sometimes, with age, mis-interprets (doesn't "see") your ignition key in the ignition and assumes that the car is being stolen and shuts down the fuel pump. You will hear the pump run for a moment to engergize the system but then it just cranks and cranks and cranks. Do a search on Passlock and there are work-arounds to fixing this permanently --- temporary fix? Read your owners manual about re-setting the security system (sorry I don't recall it exactly) but it deals with turning the ignition key on/off in a sequence and then leaving the ignition key "on" for 10 minutes or so. Three daughters, all with Grand Am's, all had this problem. And it sucks when you are sitting in a mall parking lot in the rain waiting the 10 minutes for the system to re-set. Evenutally, the ignition key situation will worsen until it permantently will not re-start. This car is equipped with a Supercharger. All superchargers whine. This is normal and is inherently something you live with when you drive a car equipped with a supercharger.

Emergency brake not adjusted properly? Service brake not adjusted properly? Frozen caliper? Bad or broken brake return springs?

The factory tires and rims from a 2001 Pontiac grand am cannot work properly on a 2003 Pontiac grand am.

The 2001 Pontiac Grand Am minimum brake rotor thickness is .075. The minimum brake rotor thickness is a standard minimum. Certified mechanics cannot use the brake rotor when the thickness drops below this level.

I think your battery might not be having enough power to crank the car as well as the supply the power to do all the things that it runs . Things to do; check battery wires, clean wires and battery terminal (you can use baking soda, bleach, or some kinda of soda (base) to clean off the acid). Good Luck! Also check to see your crank's manufacture is specified.

Its a pain, there are two screws. One in the arm rest, and the other under a tab in the door handle. After that is the hard part, use two flat head screw drivers and pry the door handle trim off. Then the easy part, pop off the tweet housing and then pull the pannel off. Dont worry your not gonna break it its just clips. Then unplug the wires and your done.

Did you cover the coil pack before washing? The answer is that in the washing process you got water into one or more parts of the electrical system, in effect grounding [or shorting] a part of the system, rendering it non-functional ["broken"]. "Usually," [though not always] this problem corrects itself ONCE the system has had time to TOTALLY dry out.

If it is the door where the fuel goes in, it has a special "safety feature" that keeps it from opening all the way when you are filling up. Check your manual on how to disable this feature, and see if that fixes the problem. If it does, it is probably a faulty sensor.

When these doors pop open a couple of inches and then stop, the wiring harness is usually broken. That is the plastic "snake" in the bottom door track.

This same thing happened to me, i think the light should just say "tire pressure", because i thought my tire pressure was low but apparently it was to high, the correct pressure is 30psi if you have to much this signals the light. once you get the tire pressure down to spec, you have to reset the light by taking the fuse box panel cover off on the driver's side. then push the rest button (red and towards the top of fuse box), but don't forget this will also reset your oil change alert system as well.

well usually the heater coil would be on the pass side firewall you would have to take that side of dash out were your glovebox is and then you can unbolt and disconnect it and install new one

No. Mustang pattern is 5x114.3 and grand prix is 5x115. But they will fit as long as the backspacing is correct

The best brake pads would be the factory mercedes-benz brake pads. I have seen lots of aftermarket brake pads on these cars, and all they do is squeak. So you can usually never go wrong with factory parts.
