Where is the turn signal flasher on a 1964 Ford Falcon?
On my wifes '64 Falcon, it appears to be above the headlight switch behind the instrument cluster. Hers is hanging loose, but I'm sure there is a clip or mount it should be in, I just haven't found it yet... By the way, we've just had the car 2 weeks. It is an all original, numbers matching 4 door Futura, with a 260 V8 and 2 speed Ford-o-Matic. No rust, original paint, etc. My wife gave $1295.00 for it, and we drove it home! :-D Rotor edit: There is a a metal spring clip on the back of the instrument cluster that the flasher unit clips into. If you mean illumination for nighttime on the dashboard it can be the fuse or the dimmer itself. All the illumination runs through a single 20A fuse in the panel on the side of the dashboard. All power runs through the dimmer switch so that can also be bad.
For both these, it is necessary to remove the steering column covers. This is fiddly but not difficult: two screws on top, two underneath, and two inside, remove the choke control (the knob unclips from its shaft), and wiggle the plastic round the ignition switch. The flasher unit is underneath to the left and simply unclips and pulls out. The indicator switch assembly - which has all the switches on it, you can't separate them - is held in place with two screws and the everlasting plastic clips. Remove this and then unplug the cable; this is another fiddly job (why can't the makers make things easy?) as you have to push the retaining clip in, then hinge the plug down before it will come away. I'd advise you to buy a spare switch unit, as they are prone to fail. Known stock faults are the indicator auto-cancel mechanism (it's plastic and splits) and the rear wiper switch (the contacts burn out because they're overloaded by the motor. There's no relay on this circuit for some reason, I'd reccommend fitting one). Unless you've got a very early model, it is possible to dismantle these and repair them, though since you can often find them on Ebay for only a few pounds it isn't really worth the bother, though a new unit at
use a test light see if theres power anywhere. could possible be fuse..doesnt have to be the relay you could have a bad ground? turn singal lights on go to trunk test wire for power..steve
How do you replace emergency flasher on a 2001 Monte Carlo ss?
The 2001 Monte Carlo emergency flasher relay switch and the turn signal flasher relay switch are the same. The flasher relay switch simply plugs in and out.
Where is the signal flasher located on a 2001 Kia Sephia?
The 2001 Kia signal flasher relay switch can be found beneath the drivers side dashboard. The signal flasher relay switch will be above the brake pedal.
What causes the rear turn signal and brake lights on a 2004 Chevy Malibu 2004 not to work?
Just because I had one in the past (2004 malibu) I would say that I has something to do with the fuse that works for the turn signal and brake light. Because for them both not to be working I would doubt that it was a bulb. Just my opinion. Of course you should get it looked at.
Check the rear ground wire. Make sure it's properly connected to the vehicle frame.
How do you replace the bulb on mercedes-benz c180 right signal mirror?

Where is the turn signal flasher on a 1998 freightliner FL80?
Pull the cover off the dash in front of the passenger seat. In the freightliner I drove (I don't remember the year: sorry.) I found the flasher in there.
85 Chevy blinker stays lit but not flashing any suggestions?
The first thing I would do is replace the flasher. The flasher is what controls the on / off of your blinkers, giving you the blink blink. If that doesn't work, it sounds like your turn signal switch is going bad. GOOD LUCK
Turning signals not working but the hazards do so what could be the problem?
I have found that moisture can cause that problem you may also want to check your fuse and bulbs if you see moisture try to get it as dry as possible
I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee sport where is the turn signal and hazard flasher located?
Here is a website that will help you I am replacing mine tomorow. Looks to be straight forward. Although this is for a TJ, I assume that they would be the same. http://www.sonicjay.com/jeep/relay-howto.htm
Remove the plastic "kick panel" beneath the steering column. There are screws along the bottom. The panel pops off at the top. Next, remove the large, steel plate underneath. The flasher is located high up, to the left of the steering column. You need to remove the two nuts that hold a steel brace/shield that is in the way of removing the flasher. Finally, carefully pry the flasher holder away from metal support over it with a large screwdriver. You will then need to remove the protective tape in order to remove the flasher from it's socket. Reverse the procedure after plugging in the new flasher. It's really not difficult and should only take about half an hour if you haven't done it before. This procedure should cover all Jeep Cherokees from 1997 through 2001. I am not certain if is the same for pre 1997 or Grand Cherokees.
Why would the right turn indicator stay lit whenever the headlights are on?
THE RIGHT TURN ,LIGHT ASSEMBLY HAS A BAD GROUND. SEEN IT HAPPEN LOTS OF TIMES.
If the problem started after a new turnsignal bulb was installed then pull the bulb and look into the socket. Make sure both the socket and bulb have the same number of contacts (both two or both one ). If a single contact bulb is plugged into a two contact socket it will short both of the contacts in the socket together and backfeed a power signal from either circuit into the circuit on the other contact.
How do you change the side view mirror turn signal bulb on a 2001 Lincoln Navigator?
Hi,
I just did mine on an expedition. There are two flat retaining clips that hold the front plastic cap on the assembly. Move the mirror to its full inward position. Then you can reach in with a flat screw driver and lift up the one clip. Tilt the mirror to the other full extreme then you can reach in and free the other clip. With the top two free, the bottom slides out and you have access to the bulb.
do you hear clicking noise -as if the inficators were working?
If not then go check the flasher relay and its connections.
Where is the signal flasher for a 2003 Chevy Impala and what does it look like?
On the Impala the flasher is located behind the dashboard, just to the right of the steering wheel. You have to remove the dashboard to get to it. It square and about 2" long. To remove the dash:
- remove the two fuse compartments doors or lids, that are on either end of the dashboard. there are two screws to remove on both sides.
- Remove the kick plate beneath the dash on the passenger side.
- Remove screws beneath the dash on drivers side
- Adjust steering wheel to the full down position
- Move Shift lever all the way down
The flasher on most cars is located around the fuse box under the dash, or attached to the underside of the dash. It is a small round cylindrical Can made of aluminum, or plastic.
To replace the emergency flasher switch, there is no need to remove the front face of the dash. Just use a flat head screwdriver to pop off the top of the flasher switch. Then use needle nose or channel locks to pull remainer of switch out so it can be unplugged and replaced. Plug in new switch, push back into place and you are ready for your turn signals and emergency flashers to work. It takes all of 5 minutes to do this.
I just had this problem with my 2002 Pontiac Grand Am. The problem is a short in the "multi-function switch." When I took it to get fixed, they told me that a lot of Pontiac Grand Ams have had this problem, and mine was fixed through warranty. If that is not the problem with your car, check the "signal flasher relay." Hope I helped!
Where is the turn signal relay on a 1993 Volvo 240 and how do you replace it?
Its in the lower section of the dash. You know the little storage area right in front of the gear shift? Remove the part of the dash there, and the relay is on the left hand side of it.
AnswerYou just remove the plastic panel on the inboard side of the driver's side footwell - one crosshead screw and one plastic DZUS type fastener turned 1/4 turn releases the panel from the front dash section. Remove the panel and the 5-way relay is right in front of you clipped to a hole in the side of the little storage locker that's in front of the gear shift. Push a flat blade screwdriver between the clip and the inside of the locker and the relay can be pulled forward and out.My alero has done this twice now. I found out the problem is switch for the blinker is bad. Both times for me it has stopped making the noise before I actually got it fixed, so I haven't actually had mine replaced yet. The module inside the steering column that has both turn signal and wipers connected to it is the problem. You can remove the top cover of the steering column, disconnect the electrical connections and remove the module. There is one torque screw on top of the module. If you take the unit apart you can clean the terminals and put new grease(small amount) on them. There is a spring in the center of the unit that can be tricky to keep in when putting back together. Watch carefully as you open the module to see how the spring rests. When putting the module back on be sure to depress the connector on the front of the unit (facing you as you sit in the driver seat) so that it goes behind and rest on the circular metal plate on the steering column.
check fuses first .
