The 1984 Chevrolet Cavalier 2.0 liter engine fuel pump relay can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. The fuel pump relay will be on the drivers side of the firewall.

Typically when a fuel gauge reads incorrectly it is the fuel sending unit in the fuel tank.In order to determine where the problem really is accessing the fuel sending unit on newer cars is fairly easy.Most have a access area either from removing the bottom of the back seat or from the trunk area under the carpet.In short if the fuel sending signal wire is grounded it should make the gauge either go back to empty or to the full mark IF it is not working properly.Just a simple check to verify if the part above is defective,or possibly your gauge itself has a electrical issue.I just recently fixed a exact issue as I have done before gauge read full and already knew the problem.

Its simple. Get your car up on ramps and look for an electrical wiring harness that goes into the tranny. Usually it is a two or three wire connector. Simply disconnect it and that should solve your shift problem "if" that "IS" the problem. In other words if your TCC is bad than disconnecting it will make your tranny operate without lock up. At worst you will lose 1 MPG.

I'm actually looking for the place I can use a jumper to reset it.

Press the set button one time. Then to set the hour you press the seek back button to adjust. For the minutes side, you would press seek forward. Then when done press Set again.

After having this problem myself, I called my car dealer, and they recommended spraying the weather stripping around the doors with Pam cooking spray. So far it's worked like a charm--you have to reapply the Pam whenever it gets worn off, but the doors don't stick like they used to when there is moisture in the air and it's below freezing.

Its Possible that your head is worped, or crack in the head or block

you probably broke the little piece of plistic in the black box the actual opens the latch. This could have been done by slaamming the trunk. I have the same problem. I super glued it once and then broke it again when my heavy bike rack was on the trunk.

IT sounds like you may have a power brake booster leaking vaccume. Need to check rubber line going from booster to intake manifold for leaks. also need to put car in park with engine running,then push brake down and see if it fills hard or here a hissing sound. If so then replace brake booster. You may also have a engine miss check wires,plugs cap.

Truthfully, there isn't much you can do to get a great improvement, but you can change your air filter, make sure your tires have the correct pressure, clean out your intake, turn off the a/c, and just plain don't drive it hard. Avoid jerky starts, take your foot off the gas and coast as far as you can up to stoplights, don't accelerate hard, etc. Also, if you do a lot of highway driving, try setting your cruise control at 5mph slower, you may be surprised. In my car, theres a 4mpg difference between 70 and 75 mph. Don't feel like you're alone, the gas prices are killing all of us!

fuse to the dash gone ???

under the steering wheel near the drivers door Actually the fuse box is located as you open the drivers door near the door hinge under a plastic cover that say "FUSE" with a arrow pointing downward. Also under the hood near the battery there are fuse's and relay for the car's electrical requirements. Called a power supply box

Sounds like it could be an electrical problem...possibly bad battery, alternator, or starter. If there is a sound sort of like a machine gun when you crank it, but the engine won't turn over, then it's the battery, and possibly the alternator; if there's just a clicking or whirring sound, that's the starter; if nothing happens at all, that's the alternator, and that also means the battery is probably dead. Has your red battery light come on on your dashboard? Also could be failed ignition control module, ignition coils, or badly worn spark plugs. I would check the battery, alternator, and starter first. If you can get the car jumped, take to an auto parts store, and they should be able to test your battery and electrical systems' integrity for free. Plus, I think you mean "quarts" not "liters" of oil. If the problem's oil related, I'd have the car checked for leaks with a compression test by a mechanic. Or it could be the computer going bad. Once again, a mechanic would be the best person to see. If it does turn out to be the computer, this is one of the very, very few times I would take it in to the dealer to have it fixed. The 5.4l engine has 2 PVC valves one on each valve cover in the middle of the motor. They are black and are 90 degree angle plastic pipe

I do believe they are the same heads if it's a 2.2OHV 134cc 4banger. But it is for 1995 and up to 2000 because Chevrolet changed the 2.2 OHV for a 2.2 dohc. Make sure on what your buying before making a mistake

The question should really be "How does positive crankcase ventilation work?" You can't ventilate a crank, it's either solid (roller bearing crank) or the only spaces are oilways.

Positive crankcase ventilation, PCV, is used to prevent a build-up of combustion gases in the crankcase. The piston rings prevent most combustion gases getting down the sides of the pistons and into the crankcase but a little does sneak past. This is called 'blow by' and increases as the engine wears. If there was no ventilation, pressure would build in the crankcase and cause oil leaks and other trouble. In early engines the crankcase was just vented to atmoshere via an oil trap so combustion gas fumes and some oil vapour escaped into the air. Later, to prevent this, the crankcase was vented instead to a low pressure part of the inlet system. The engine then consumes its own fumes. Originally this was just a flow restricting hole to the inle manifold but complication has crept in over the years. We have seen one-way valves, 'gulp valves' and similar all intended to hold the crankcase pressure just below atmospheric and get the engine to consume it own fumes without upsetting fuelling accuracy.

On diesel engines and supercharged engines a pressure lower than atmospheric can be created by putting a venturi in the the inlet. On a conventional gasoline engine the inlet is always below atmospheric pressure.

There is a placard under the hood listing the spark plug gap.

The crank sensor is located at the vibration damper. Top passenger side. You can see the wires coming up the front cover plate from this area. Most of the time belt damage will take to wires out.

Yes they are more than likely the same. They look the same on my 2 and 4 door 94 Cavaliers. You might also find that the fenders from the Pontiac Sunbird also fit as well.
