How do you replace the passenger side window motor on a 2002 z28 Camaro?
Your best option is take it to a dealer and pay the bill. The power window motors are mounted using an aircraft quality rivet. Most of us don't have the tools. Also there is a safety issue for novices. The way the motor and regulator are built there is real danger to your fingers if you don't know how to change these parts. Dealers charge usually around $250.00 for this installation and it is worth it. You can drill access holes into the interior door after lifting the tar paper cover. The clips on the bottom of the door panel lift up, not out. The replacement requires dexterity and patience . I clamped the window in the up position up with squeeze clamps. Just be careful with the spring. I have done it twice and still have all my fingers but not all my skin. Count on an a full afternoon, the first time.
I removed the gear from the gearbox, separated the two halves of the 'gear assembly' and used carb cleaner and an old toothbrush to clean the parts up nicely (also cleaned up the gearbox housing its self). Then I used epoxy (the type with 2 syringes siamesed together works perfectly) to turn the gear assembly in to a one-piece gear. I don't really see why they designed it the way they did with bushings between the 2 halves of the gear, but as one piece the gear works beautifully. I used white lithium grease to re-lubricate the assembly and it's been perfect since.
Take care and good luck. Be careful working inside the doors, they like to put nice sharp edges in there. There are 3 little bolts holding the crank motor in the door, and of course a wire harness to unplug.
i currently have a 85 that had the same problem you described, in my case it was 3 hard plastic bushings in the gearbox. worked like new afterwards. AnswerSounds like the glass slipped off the track. Answercould also be that the wire that runs the window up and down the tracks has broken, as in my 1995 Isuzu MU Answerpls see...The related question link on the right side of this page.
AnswerCould be the motor is loose it's mounting and the gear on the motor is not engaging the gear on the window lift frame. a visual inspection is necessary here.Could be a lot of things. When I worked At a Chrysler Dealership, we replaced TONS of the motors for stripped gears! Check the regulator to motor gear fit. if the teeth aren't ground off of anything, it's probably in the motor itself.
AnswerElectric windows on Chrysler Corporation vehicles in this era have a few known weaknesses. The three bushings as mentioned in another answer are one, but those usually cause the window to shake on the way down. The nuts that hold the glass to the track can come off their studs, but that normally causes the window to bind on the track, plus the window would not only float up and down but could rotate. The motor itself has two major problems- the gear attached to the motor's output shaft can break as it's plastic on many models, and the motor housing itself can deform, leading to a misalignment of the output shaft and the gear. Usually for the housing to deform it also cracks, and is probably best replaced rather than repaired.Chrysler power window motors are different side to side, mirror images of each other. almost all of these motors from the seventies until the end of the vintage RWD cars in '89 use the same motors, so there are plenty of source vehicles to choose from, but be warned, depending on application, the motor for your passenger's side window might have been used on a driver's side window on a different model, and vice-versa for the other side. It's probably a good idea if pulling a used part to record the part number of the existing motor or to have a picture of it when seeking a replacement in order to get the right motor.

Most likely the heim joint has broken on the end of the ram's rod that pushes on the top. Originally pot metal. They screw on to the end of the ram and connect to the top's frame at the shoulder area. Can order new ones off eBay that are better quality and cheap.
How do I change the power window motor on a 1999 Pontiac Firebird?
The motor is mounted with rivets, you must drill out the rivets. The bolt must be short enough so that the window arms will not touch, this will cause the window to not go up or down all the way.

remove the carpet section on the inside cover , there are plastic plugs they just pop out , most will break but they are cheap and found in the auto parts help section, under that you will see a panel with several Phillips screws remove that cover and you will see the motor and mechanism if the motor is still good you can use a battery charger on the 2 wires in the tailgate one positive one negative, reversing will make it go up and down. there are 3 bolts on the motor , remove those and the glass will move by hand. be sure to support the glass when tailgate is down and glass is fully extended , i used a garbage can and a pillow. good luck
How do you repair a window that has fallen off track on a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am?
Just went through this myself yesterday. My window worked on a cable pulley system, there are 8 bolts that hold on the window regulator which includes the motor. My motor and regulator where fine. The glass is attached to the regulator by two plastic clips. The front clip is $42 the rear clip is $38. It is easier than you think to fix. I hate working on cars but the dealer wanted $350 to fix it so I took 45 minutes and did it myself. This site has a great step by step diagram. http://www.a1electric.com/grandam.htm !
Happened to our 1999 Grand Am 2Dr. Dealer wanted $529.00 to fix it. I purchased the whole Window Regulator, including the motor, new off Ebay for $65.00 delivered.
Cheaper to buy the complete Regulator with plastic sash clips than pay a dealer $50-$60 for just the plastic clips. That is if you can find someone to just sell you the plastic clips.
The other posting the A1electric site is what I used as my picture guide. Helped a lot.

How to fix '93 altima window washer not working?
If you can hear the washer motor running when try to clean you windshield then it only needs the hoses to be blow out with a air compressor. If motor does not run it may be a fuse or you need a new motor.
by the way the vehicle in question is a 95 Honda civic ex all responses are appreciated
If you have power to and from the switch AND a new motor, it sounds like you missed the ground wire somewhere inside the door. I know that's a little vague but I don't think there can be much else wrong.
Honda is notorious for their power windows binding or moving up and down very slowly. There is an easy cure to fix your power windows if you are experiencing this problem. You don't have to take the door panels apart either. Power the windows almost all the way down. Leave about an inch of window showing. DO NOT USE WD-40 or any similar lubricant. Rather, use some form of spray lithium grease and use a can that has the long thin nozzle like you would find on a can of WD-440.
Stick the nozzle down between the window and side track and spray liberally on both sides of the window. Also spray the track on either side going up from the window to the top of the window frame. Open and close the window a few times to ensure the window is moving freely. Repeat the process if necessary and perform this as a matter of routine maintenance.

How do you fit the Window Regulator on a Renault clio grande?
im assuming you have already removed the old one? first remove the window from the door frame entirely, bolt in the motor end into the door(3 nuts - 10ml) then the long flat metal bar line up with the holes and blot the bottom top nuts in for this (10ml size also) then lower the window back into the door frame(might need a helper here) usually half way down the bar you will see a plastic lug that fits through the hole in the bottom of the window, clamp it wih the plastic clamp you usually get with the regulator. wire up and test,
First remove the door panel unplug switch from motor take a 12volt battery, ground battery, take hot wire from battery touch it to terminal on motor directly, motor should start,if it does check master switch on drivers side it would be bad. Also check the actual wiring. The wires can become damaged over time, especially on the driver's side (from that door being opened most often).
How do you adjust the door window on a 1994 Dodge Stealth?
The window tract is not really adjustable. Usually the regulator and/or cable go bad, and you need to replace the thing as a unit.
/ / / / /
There are adjustment screws on the lift system on the dorr windows.
They are located in two positions on the track. You will have to remove inside door panel. Tward the rear of door there are two nuts on screws that have a hex broached into them. Loosen nuts (14mm I think) turn set screw with hex key to achieve desired result. (I do not remember turning which way does what) You will have to hold the set screw with the hex key while re-tightening the nuts.
This operation will adjust where the top of the glass makes contact with the rubber seal around the door opening.
Keep the pigtail plugged in the the window operation button. You can hang the door panel on the door the test you settings.
Good Luck, Da Moo

How to fix an electric window on an 87 Mercedes 420?
Obviously it depends on whats broken...motor, switch, or very likely in these, the window regulator has a plastic part that snapps. Entire Regulator needs replacing. (The regulator is essentially the frame mechanisim that hold and moves the window glasss). Remove interior door panel to do so. Not terribly difficult, but playing around to get the new one to line up right can be tricky....till you get it.
How to fix window regulator on 2000 impala?
Anyway, the part# from napaonline.com is BK 6653601 for the drivers side (BK 6653602 for the passenger side).
Remove the door panel, time consuming but not too hard. Loosen the three 10mm bolts holding the motor in, remove the power connector.
Lower the window so that the two bolts holding it to the regulator are exposed, remove them. Push the window to the top, propping it at this position (a screwdriver through the access hole at the top left will prop on top of the exterior door handle keeping the window in place.
Remove the three 10mm bolts holding the regulator in place. 'Corkscrew' the regulator and motor out of the BIG hole at the back of the door.
Installation is the reverse of assembly.
EASY!

Plug the new switch into the harness and reinsert the switch into the top of the door panel.
2002 Chevy Blazer rear left window will go down and not up how can you fix this?
anytime the window goes in either direction but will not go in the opposite direction, You know the motor is good,,,,, Now you need to know what is WRONG,It is most likely one of two things, The MOST likely is A bad switch, The second thing it might be is A damaged track inside the door, You can check this easy, Just try to go up with the glass if it does anything at all, you know the switch is working, So you need to check the track,,,,,, Another thing it could be is A bad wire on the power supply for the not working direction, BUT this is not likely unless you have A RAT! Good luck, Jamison.
