hello if u have the Bose system in youre caddy becareful what speaker u replace it with the Bose speakers have a built in amplifier in the speaker and they are very costly the back deck pops out so u can get to speakers in my 93 caddy which should b the same on 95

A cam is an elliptical or tear-drop shaped form mounted to a rotating shaft. It is used to transfer rotating motion to linear motion. As the shaft rotates, the cam pushes on a rod that moves it back and forth as the rod follows the contour of the cam.

Take the knob with you to a hardware store, and find a metric bolt that will screw into the knob. This would be the easiest way.

if the vehicle is a twelve volt system (*12volts) then it should be between 0 and 12 depending how much gas is in the tank. the sending unit in the tank ranges from0 ohms a closed switch or short al the way to open infinte resistance so wherever the sending unit is resistence wise will change the voltage drop accros the meter

It cycles coolant through the engine. Heat from the engine is transferred to the coolant through a heat exchange. The heated coolant then cycles through the system to the radiator, where heat from the coolant undergoes another heat exchange, transferring heat from the coolant to the air which passes through the radiator.

Very awkward. First you need to remove the parking light (2 screws - 1 under the hood, the other under the lens on the outside - tough to locate). Then remove the grill, and lastly remove the white lens. Good news is you don't have to remove the engine!

My family has a 2000 VW Beetle 2.0 Std Trans. It idles okay. But as you drive the vehicle starts to stall. But as you step off the gas pedal the engine starts back up.

If you try to open the throttle the engine almost stalls. The engine has had new spark plug and head gaskets and new fuel pump and new fuel filter. Codes are 300 301 302 303 304. Timing belt was also replaced. Im thinking maybe the timing is off.

O2 sensor reading 800 and then almost 20 then 10 when it starts to stall. Then back up to 800 after you let it idle. So the engine is leaning out and not letting the injectors work correctly. So you have any other Ideas that I can do or parts that need replacing.

It varies from engine to engine, but usually it's nothing special. Just disconnect the wiring, and remove whatever bolts or screws hold it on. Then remove the old, replace with the new, and put everything else back the way it was.

I just replaced my trunk struts on my 97 contour. It looked like an impossible job until I saw in my tool box two tools I had bought at a flea market.

Each one had a 5 inch long hex handle and one had a straight end like a skinny ice pick.

The second tool was like the first except the point was like the beginning of a corkscrew.

The corkscrew tool works by inserting the point in under the spring clip and twisting, I had to add my skinny vice grips to get enough twist but it makes it easy to snap the strut out of the ball.

The straight tool works perfect to hold the spring clip up thereby unblocking the socket so it can be snapped on the ball. Pull the tool out and with your finger make sure the spring snapped back in place to hold the unit to the car.

When I snapped off one end of the first strut, the trunk snapped closed and it was dark and cramped but I thought I was the Houdini but after 10 minutes of battle I decided to just relax and wait. In one hour and 20 minutes my wife rescued me. Sometimes all you can do is to remain calm.

A simple continuity test will do, check for continuity from the antenna to the plug. Not much goes wrong with these though I would look at the plug connection at the back of the stereo sometimes they are loose and come apart.

I talked to a mechanic about that just today. He said there are no adjustments, they just wear out over time. The only solution is to replace the latch. About $60 to $70 for the part, and it's easy to do if you're mechanically inclined. It might cost $150 or more to have a shop do it.

Until then, there's a trick -- if you hold the trunk closed, insert the key and turn it opposite from the direction to lock it, the trunk will latch. That's the only thing you can do until you replace the part. Sorry.

sounds like a broken speedometer cable.

If you look under the passenger side dashboard you will find the heater motor ,attached to the motor is a fuse,check to see if the fuse is connected , or just replace the fuse , it worked for me.

It's actually kinda tricky. Pull the door release inside, and your hood should pop, and a pull tab should pertrude out from under the hood. grab that tab and pull down first and then to the right. This should do the trick. If not, then you will have to do what I did with my girlfriend's car: Drive it to a dealership and ask them the most embaressing question, "How do you open the hood?" Hi I know this isn't the answer but wondering if you found out the t5 glow plug location as I am also lost. Help would be great

It is located on the hump under the console near the firewall.

It stands for SPORT MODE. The engine rpms go higher before it shifts gears, giving you more of a high performance type of feel. You get more power but you also get less fuel economy with this setting. You can probably get a better description from the owner's manual.

If you're trying to replace the rear wheel bearing and all you can find is the rear hub assembly, it probably means that you can't get just the bearing. Many vehicle manufacturers press the bearing into the assembly at the factory and there is no way to replace just the bearing. If they're offering the assembly, that's probably what you'll need to buy.
