ok as i have a 1989 Honda civic standard shift 2 door plus back open hence hatch back . just had windshield installed what ya do is take off all the rubber trim ..unscrew the metal piece just under the hood and also take off wipers etc u may have to cut thru the rubber depends how long ur other windshield was there[ mine had original ] then clean all up glass etc [mine was really smashed from tree limb] brush off etc make sure no trim [rubber] on car then take new windshield take off paper etc put trim on it [doesnt go on bottom part just top and sides] then put glue thick on car put windshield on press make sure all lines up put bottom piece on then wipers etc that's it .......

I dont think you can. I believe they are part of the switch

It is very easy to remove the motor/wiper assembly so do not hesitate to do so:

Remove the plastic covers off the wiper arm retaining nuts.

Remove the wiper arm nuts with a 13mm socket.

Twist and pull with your finger tips and finger nails at the base of the small rubber squirt tubing off the hard plastic squirt delivery tubes.

You may have to yard up and down on the wiper arms pretty hard to get them loose from their tapered shafts. Don't be a mindless gorilla but be brave and keep at it. They will come loose.

Remove the cowl cover by pulling or prying out the center of the six retaining push pins. Then lift the cowl cover up then out at a 45 degree angle. You will find the cover is a very tight fit between the right hand wiper shaft and the weatherstrip at the base of the windshield. Be brave and keep pulling and prying until it comes loose.

Reinstalling the cowl cover and getting the rubber weather strip over the cover is the hardest part of the whole job. Use putty knifes (slowly and carefully!) or a very small slender screwdriver. It took me half an hour just to do this part of the job that. ugh.

Remove the 3 bolts holding the wiper assembly.

Disconnect the electrical connector by squeezing the retaining tab that you cant see on the backside of the connector. You have to squeeze real hard.

Lift the wiper assembly out.

Go to your local autozone or advance auto and tell them that you need new wipers and theyll put them on for free and you dont have to jack with it.

To remove the wiper arm on a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis, pull outward on the small tab located near the end of the wiper arm. This unlocks the arm. Take a flat-head screwdriver and insert between the wiper end and the base. Gently twist back and forth until the wiper arm begins to lift off the cog. When it is loosened enough, lift straight off. To install a new arm, complete the steps in reverse. Push the tab in to lock in place.

Forget refills. Replace the entire blade assembly. Cost very little more and you have a new blade. If the wiper blade assemblies are still in decent shape, refills are a cheap and easy fix. However, many auto parts stores have stopped carrying refills. If you have the original blade assemblies, you can can look up the refill size at the auto parts store or on a website (e.g., http://www.advanceautoparts.com ). Otherwise, you'll need to measure the length and width of your current blades. The driver and passenger blades often have different lengths and widths. You'll also need to check what shape claws (e.g., square, trapezoidal) your blade assemblies have - for examples, see the links at http://www.tricoproducts.com/index.cfm?location_id=67&go=SearchtricoPopular Installation is easy and instructions are included in the refill package: Remove the old blade insert (may require a pair of plyers to squeeze the end clip so that it will slide out). Then, starting opposite the end with the clip, thread the refill through each set of wiper blade claws until the end clip locks onto the end claw.

is it hard to change the water pump on a 1992 Oldsmobile achieva.

Yes, it is very hard to replace a water pump on an Achieva. When the pump died on my 1996 Achieva, the engine needed to be unbolted and removed to get to it. As I recall, it cost about $500.

I have a 95 Olds Achieva 3.1 and the water pump was very easy to change. Mine is on the front passenger side of the engine. Very easy to get to, just be careful not to break any bolts off. lol

Drain the anti-freeze from the 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 cooling system. Remove the water return hose from the water pump. Remove the water pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new water pump.

this is easy! the reason i know is i have a 97 sunfire

all you have to do is the following:

loosen the belt tensioner by using a 15mm wrench, once the belt is loose then slide it off.

drain the rad fluid from the drain clock, loosen the 4 bolts on the water pump, don't remove it all the way other wise you will have a huge mess on your hands, put a pail under the water pump and let it drain.

once it is all drained out remove all 4 bolts from the water pump and remove it, clean the old gasket off the engine block and to add the new water pump just do the reverse steps.

I had the windshield in my '99 GTP replaced with a $100 "normal" windshield and the HUD works just fine. The "special" Winshield was $200.

There are several different blades, Go to the parts store and most will show you how to replace them

It is in front, on the passenger side, at the bottom of the windshield washer tank. Your acces to is from the front passenger wheel under the plastic cover thatis all around the wheel. Unclip thefake-plastic screws, mostly the one close to the tank. Once you've locate the reservoir and the pump,unplug the electrical harness and the small pipe and then pull it by the upper side with a flat screwdriverand it'll come easy...It's just a snap-on pump with a rubber piece around that make it thight around the plastic pump.

There is a small spring slot in the middle of the top ot the wiper blade. Use a slot screwdriver to push the spring down and the wiper blade will pop off.

go to half price bookstore or discount bookstore or maybe even a library, and look for a brand called Motors Repair manuals don't even think about buying one new unless your willing to dump atleast 95 dollars for a book you will hardly ever use, but motors repair manual is alot more refined than what chiltons is and chiltons is alot better than haynes

Take it to a garage as there is check out charts that the mechanics follow.

There is a recall on the circuit board on the fron of the motor, you can take it to the dealer if this recall has not been done yet OR All you have to do is take out three torx screws pull the board off and replace it, when you buy one new, they usually come with the screws... This is Most Likely the problem taht you have.

More than likely it needs a new pulse module control board for the wipers.... get it at an autoparts store for around 35-45 or have them charge you 130 just for the part....

take it to the Chevy dealer, i believe it is a recall item. i had that happen to me twice and i read somewhere that Chevy was replacing it even tho i bought my replacement part

I had the same problem on my 96 Tahoe and had to have the wiper motor replaced. it seem thet where the connector clips into the motor, the cnnection on the motor side goes bad. It cost me about $175.00 to have the dealer fix it. about 3 months later g.m. issued a recall notice on that very problem so you might want to check that.

this happened on my 97 s 10 and it was nothing more than the relay switch sticking. it is on the the firewall at the top just try tapping on a couple of em to see if that fixes the problem. then you will know which one to fix. by the way this started happening over 50 thousand miles ago and i still havent had to replace it. just have to tap it every once in awhile or run over a speed bump.I think there is a recall on this. On the wiper control board under the hood next to the wiper motor the ground pin comes unsoldered. It is intermittent. I had the same problem, but being handy with soldering and good mechanic i fix it myself.

I took a look at doing this myself and backed out. The shop had to remove a engine mount and dismantle the A/C to get the job done. I think shop time was 3-4 hours. This car does not leave enough room for big hands. Also to give you a heads up on another issue I had. Leaves and debris enter by the wipers, clog up the A/C drain. The car starts getting wet on the inside passenger floor board. I though I had a leaking heater core. Replaced it. Eventually the water takes out the computer behind the glove box. HTH

1. Drain Coolant2. Take fan clutch off3. Take fan shroud off4. Take the serp. belt5. Take the brace on the A/C and Alt. bracket6. Take the A/C compressor off the bracket (but do not recover freon)7. Take the idler pulley off8. Take the bracket off but leave the alt. attached to bracket9. Pull the wiring off the temp.gauge on the intake by the tstat housing10. Take the bypass hose clamps off by using a hose clamp pliers.11. Take the lower radiator hose off12. Take the bolts out of the water pump and take the pump off with a little tap with a hammer or pry it off.13. Clean off old gasket14. Install in reverse

I replaced the water pump on a '93 SL 1 and it was very easy to do by first removing the front tire and working through the wheel well. It took about 1 hour to complete.

I used to have this problem. The wipers would sweep at odd intervals in intermittent mode and when I turned the wipers off they would not go back in to the 'park' position (they would stop where I turned the switch off). The wiper motor has an issue with the brushes and contact assembly. Oil from the bearing coats the surface of the slip ring and causes intermittent operation. I removed the motor assy from my '96 caravan and cleaned the slip ring and brush with rubbing alcohol. The non-stop operation stopped as well as the 'ghost sweep' operation when in intermittent mode.

2 Options: 1. Don't attempt, because its not worth it. 2. First take of the gravel guard under the front fascia. Then take out the wheel well guard on the drivers side (all 7mm). Then you will need to loosen the front fascia from the driver side fender. 1 bolt, and 2 nuts, all 10mm. Now you can either take out the radiator, or you can just work the reservior out. Either way its going to be a pain. There are 3 bolts, and about 4 one way plastic push bolts holding the thing in. If you are going to keep using your current pump, its on the engin side of the reservior, then just lift it straight up about 1 inch. Otherwise, disconnect your battery, then disconnect the power cable and washer fluid tube from the pump. Now its time for the removal. If you are not going to take out your radiator (the better choice, since that would be an even bigger hassle) then you will need to jack up the front of the car. Now the air intake assembly will HAVE to come out with the reservior. Both will come out, not so easily from the bottom. Replace, and repeat in reverse. Have fun, I know I did.

I agree with all except you dont have to take out the air intake that is behind the wheel well guard. If you take out the screws in the bottom of the air intake you can push it out and the reservoir will slip out...not so easily but it will come out.... I also removed the 3 screws on the PCM module that is mounted recessed into the washer reservoir....you can spin the module around and get it out of the way..

Its not a fun process but it is doable.....

ok to make it very easy on u if u don't understand the first fue saentances yopu should go out and buy a Toyota camary repair book but to start the procedure u will fiststart taking out your anti freez over flow and oyur wind shield wiper jug then u are going to take off your altinater and altinater mount then u are going to take your belts then u are going ot take off the timing belt and cover oce u have oll of that off u will see a metal tub remove that and therre will be a thermistat under that and
