How do you remove shift knob on intrigue?
At the bottom of the knob where it meets the shaft, on the side towards the dash, there is a pin which is shaped like a staple.
Use a small screwdriver to pry the pin out towards the dash, then pull the knob up while twisting it slightly back and forth.

Why won't your car recognize it is in park and unlock the key?
This can be a silly problem,
If your car is a console shift (on the floor) there is a cable or other device that will manually be depressed when the shifter if moved forward to the park position.
That is to say that a tab located under your shifter cover that is a part of the steel body of the shifter itself, moves forward and pushes in on a little small button at the end of a cable, the cable is usually "hardmounted" with two nuts that are threaded on a steel jacket at the end if the cable and fully adjustable. if you need a visual look at a set of brakes on a ten speed bike, you can see how the cable is adjustable at the brake body itself. If you back off 1 nut, you can tighten the other to apply more pressure to the cable as the brakes wear in, and the second nut is used as a lock / retainer nut. You will need to remove the center console cover to get a look at the shifter and it's base. If your cable is visible and it should be, if looks like an oversized speedometer cable, it will disappear under the carpet. if you back the nuts off you can remove the cable and try to depress it with your thumb with the key in the ignition to see if that's the problem, (just not being depressed fully to release key) or is there a problem in your steering coloum. If it's the cable, just adjust the nuts so the button if firmer against the shifter tab. This info is limited as i have only encountered this on fords, but i hope i was of some help.

You have to take the inside door panel off to get to the bolts. To take that off start by popping off the plastic trim piece inside of the interior door grab handle with a small screw driver. Take those two screws out and then take out the plastic keeper that looks like a screw that is behind the actual latched handle. This is done by actually backing it out like its a real screw until it comes out. After that take that plastic piece out that has the handle and the lock cased in it out by prising on one side of it(it just pops in). Then take the trim piece that the window controls are in apart from the door panel. Now start at the bottom of the door and start pulling the door panel away from the door. Sometimes its hard to get it but its just little plastic keepers that hold it so pull hard. Once you have it pulled away everywhere but on the top, lift the panel straight upward to pull it out of the window slot. Now just look for three black rubber/foam plugs right across from the mirror on the inside of the door and pull them out. Your bolts for the mirror are right inside of those holes. Just do everything in the opposite order that i described to put it all back together.

Where do the plug wires connect on a 1983 rx7 12a ie T1 T2 L1 L2?
The rotary engine has two sets of spark plugs in order to meet the strict US smog requirements. The leading plugs(L1 L2) are the set on the bottom, and are used to actually ignite the fuel. The trailing plugs (T1 T2) are on the top, and are used to clean up the exhaust after combustion. So, to answer the question, L1 is on the front bottom, L2 is the rear bottom, and T1 and T2 are on the top.

You probally have a bulb gone on the right side for your turn signals. When a bulb is gone the lights will not flash but instead come on solid.
If your bulbs test OK or replacing them does not fix it, you may have the problem I had.
If your emergency flashers work but one of the turn signals will no longer come on, the most likely part failure is the multi function turn signal lever. If
A simple test for this is to remove the light bulb from the cornering lamp (the bright light that illuminates the side that you are turning to, not the turn signal bulb). After removing the bulb, retest your turn signal. If, like mine, it resumes flashing, that would indicate that the turn signal lever can not handle the electrical load anymore and may need to be replaced. Or if you can live without the cornering lamp, you can postpone the repair til a later date. You can test the resistance on a couple wires in the C202 connector to be sure. - bowfan

Will changing your tranny fluid and filter help keep the tranny from clunking?
probably not this sounds like something a mechanic would need to look at but i would be present and look into the pan when they remove it to see if there are signs of metal this indicates some internal parts are breaking. but if it is only clunking when you first put it into gear check the u-joints if it is a rear wheel drive car if it is a front wheel drive look at the motor while some one puts it into gear you may have some worn out motor mounts which are cheaper to replace than a motor.
Is there a fuse or fusible link in a 1988 Grand Marquis 50 for the cruise control?
@150K, there is a Strong chance that you have low oil pressure. As such, there is a electronic oil pressure sending unit on the lower front right side of the block. Unplug it for a few seconds. If your check engine light goes away, theres your problem. I personally would hook up a $17 manual oil pressure guage just to be safe. As for the cruise controll problem, this is a common problem. just outside of the transmission, there is an electrical attachment to a vehicle speed sensor. Check both the wires leading into it and the connctions at the sensor itself. Replace at your descretion. As for the o2 sensor, it is possible, but not likely. o2 sensors will rarely set of a trouble code on an EFI motor unless you have a cylinder not firing.

What happens when an air flow sensor goes bad?
You will get a warning light on dash and motor will probaly run rough and rich, meaning fuel ,air mixture will be out of wack and motor will put more fuel into compensate and to make sure motor does not run lean. the exhaust pipe will be very black and maybe black smoke. The hotter the motor gets the rougher it will run until spark plugs are clogged with excess carbon from unburnt fuel.

How do you reset the check engine light on a 2000 Subaru Legacy?
The CEL comes on because the on board diagnostics is sensing a problem. There are hundreds of causes for the CEL, some can be totally ignored (in that they won't cause a worse problem); others should be addressed or you could end up stranded roadside. Some, if not addressed will cause lower gas mileage, and soon you'll pay more in gas than the cost of the repair (and still have that annoying light on).
If you pay a mechanic to diagnose and fix the problem, he should reset the CEL.
You could stop by an auto parts store (AutoZone, Kragen) and have them scan the code and reset it. Ask if it's free before they do it.
If like many Subaru owners, you have something other to do on a daily basis than check and reset the CEL, you could buy an OBDII scanner ($50-$150) to (check the code) and reset the light manually. My Forester light comes on about 3 times per year, usually with a new problem that is never less than $250.
In my experience, ultimately, you want to sell the Subaru.
