Your switch is bad or the window motor has gone out

Make sure the window lock button is not ON. Simple, I know. But I dissected the passenger door before I figured this out.

You might have an electric prob!First check your fuse box for any burnet fuses-If that's not the prob you should see an elecrician

4x4 light flash 5 times and window wont work till light stop flashing gose off every 3 min

i had the 4x4 light do the same exact thing in my 2005 f explorer, intermittently flashes 5 times then stops then reappears?? my check advance trac and abs light were both also on. it ended up being the speed control sensor in my driver front wheel, in could be in any wheel though. a $500 day for parts, labor, and diagnostic. You should have a switch to lock the window control to the other windows on the drivers side. Hopefully if that's it and you unlock it it will work

Take a 12v tester and check for power at the switches; if there is no power, and the circuit breakers are working, open up the wire harness that goes thru the door jamb, it is possible the you have a broken or frayed wires . The drivers door controls are master controls so if they loose power the entire system goes down. I hope this helps you. Mark

They have cable driven regulators. Over time the cables either break, or get bound up which breaks the plastic pully. You need to replace the regulator. I have replaced my drivers door 3 times. Passenger door once, and both rear doors once. It is easier to replace them as an assembly. (Motor and regulator together). If you only do one or the other, it can be difficult to respool the cable to the pully if it should come off.

Disconnect battery, pop out the window and door lock switches,remove the retaining screws around the door pull and if there is some around the trim. The door panel is held in place by retaining clips around the edge of the panel; carefully pry the panel away and the panel will begin to seperate. Go slowly because it is easy to miss a screw holding the panel in addition to the clips. As you pull the panel away, you will see a plastic vapor barrier that will need to be removed carefully.If you have an electric mirror you will need to release that also; they differ so you will need to see how your's releases. If you can straighten pound out the dent without replacing the door you will be farther ahead because then you just need to pull back the panel vs taking off your mirror, wiring, door, door spring,etc. Good luck.

take of the door skin very carefully dont force anything acept the platic clips ont the back then once its off u pull off the plastic cover to the inside of the door (its hard but possable) then unplug the window winder motot there should be a connector u then unbolt it from the bottom of the window and the door frame and pull it out after that pepeat this prosses but backwards

ON MY '81, I CAN FIX IT BY ROLLING THE WINDOW TRACK ALL THE WAY DOWN AND ACCESSING THE WINDOW THROUGH THE REMOVED VENT (AT THE BACK LOWER CORNER OF THE DOOR)AND THE SPEAKER HOLE (AT THE FRONT CORNER). THE TRACK HAS A ROUND KNOB THAT MOVES THE WINDOW UP AND DOWN, AND IT'S FACING AWAY FROM YOU. THE REASON YOUR WINDOW POPS OFF IS THAT THE SQUARE PLASTIC PIECE ATTACHED TO THE ROUND KNOB HAS BROKEN OFF. GENTLY PUSH ON THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDOW AND MOVE THE METAL BRACKET (PART OF THE WINDOW) SO THE RECTANGULAR GAP IN THE MIDDLE IS OVER THE ROUND KNOB, AND THE SLOT IN THE METAL BRACKET IS OVER THE CHANNEL EDGE THAT THE KNOB RIDES IN. FROM NOW ON, EITHER HAVE THIS WINDOW ALL THE WAY UP OR ALL THE WAY DOWN. IT WILL FALL OFF TRACK IF IT'S PART WAY.

This will be because someone has changed the wiring configuration - The electric window relay should be energised via a switched 12v (either straight from the ignition switch or from ignition relay) to switch a bigger current to power all the windows. In this case someone has removed the relay coil 12v feed from the switched source and connected it to a permanant source (straight from the battery and not via any switches.) -Daz Ellerington.

the motor is loose on it's mount and it's gear is not engaging the window roller or the gear in the motor is loose or broken from the motor shaft. The window regulater is broken. You will need a new one. cost about 50.00 for parts and about that if you have it installed. glass speciality or a similar business can do it faster and without any problems.

look for obvious problems first like the fuses. then test if there's power going to the motors that open and close the windows. if there's no power its a short in the circuit. if theres power, try testing the motors with an alternate power supply to check if they are working. but they shouldn't all brake down at the same time.

Try wd-40 on master switch and passenger door switch it that doesnt work either your master switch or passenger switch took a dump

There should be a C Clip on the backside that you have to remove. Simply push the door panel back a bit to find the wing on the clip and then using a small flat tip screwdriver push it off a bit then do the opposite side and there you have it. Good Luck and Remember.

Please be more specific, one window, all the windows? Are they power? Just deal with it.

for the window it seems like you need to check the fuse, or maybe you need a new switch on that side. Also make sure that you do not have the windows on lock, cause I've done that once. When my window would not come back up it was the switch in the drivers door that went bad. Good luck

I need instructions on how to change the window motor in 1995 Chevy Camaro.

Look at the opposite window. Driver side windows are often simalair to there opposing window. Some parts are reversed for obvious reasons.

Start by checking the power supply from the battery, then check to see if its not the up/down switch and check to see if the motor is bad.

You have to be a little more specific. It could be something as simple as the switch or a fuse. The regulator that guides the window could be broken as was mine or an electrical problem. Start with the switch.

I have a 1995 that had the same problem. Turned out that the relay for the dashboard release switch was binding and holding the latch open so that it couldn't close. I just disconnected the cable from the relay to the latch. Can't use the dash mounted release, but the window now closes. Hope this helps. I have a 1995 that had the same problem. Binding window trim. Can you help it up. Silicone spray the window tracks. test the window switch
