You will have to look under the car's engine compartment. On the passenger side, look (or feel) behind the large coolant hose going to the radiator. There is the low pressure service port for the A/C. Good luck getting the hose connected...

I Think you have other problems. Change the fuel filter and if that doesn't do it take it to a garage.

You purchase a gasoline can and a funnel. Fill the gasoline can with fuel from your local gasoline station. Pour it into your vehicles tank using the funnel. Cycle the ignition key on and off several times pausing breifly for a few seconds when in the on position, this will prime the system, then start it up.

the easiest way to do it is to remove the trans. make sure not to break any sensors off they cost alot to replace. while you have the trans off make sure you rear main is not leaking, it is not that hard to change and it may be worth it to do it just because you have the trans off. mech mas.

There are a few things to do to when trying to diagnose a misfire. All vehicles are different, but there are a few places to start.

1)If possible use an OBDII scanner on newer vehicles. The misfire counter function can help you determine which cylinder is behaving badly. Clearly this is not an option for all people and vehicles though.

Note)Even without engine scanners you can identify which cylinder is causing a dead misfire. Carefully disconnect one spark plug at a time. If the cylinder you are disconnecting is operating properly you will hear a change in RPM. If the cylinder you disabled is the bad cylinder you will see no change in engine behavior.

2)Check your ignition system. There are several steps to this.

A)Remove spark plugs and check to see if the electrodes look worn down or contaminated. Check your spark plug gap with a plug gapper to see if the electrode has worn down.

B)Use a multimeter to check your spark plug wire resistance. They should read roughly between 2,000 - 12,000 Ohms. What you are really looking for is an open circuit in one of the wires. Bend the wires around and see if you lose continuity.

C)Check cap and Rotor. Look for carbon tracking or extremely worn down rotor.

D)On newer vehicles with distributeless ignition systems coils are prone to failure. If you know which cylinder is misfiring try swapping that cylinder's ignition coil with another cylinder and see if the misfire moves with it.

3)If you know your ignition system is operating properly you may want to check compression. You may already have the spark plugs out from your ignition check so it only takes a minute to check engine compression.

4)Fuel injection Service - The motorvac service works miracles. It is available at most repair facillities. Adding a can of fuel injector cleaner to your fuel tank is not ecnough to clean out a severely plugged injector. The motorvac solvent is much more potent and should only be used with a fuel injection cleaning machine. It is a good place to check with a hard to find misfire.

5)Vacuum leaks - A vacuum leak will cause a misfire. If the leak is near a certain cylinder that cylinder will misfire. You can try to find a leak by spraying down the engine carefully with carb cleaner. If you spray the location of the leak the RPMs will rise. You can also inject the intake manifold with smoke from a smoke machine and look to see if it leaks out anywhere it is not supposed to.

Those are a few things to check.

(1)If the truck is equipped with manual windows, remove the window regulator handle. (2) If the truck is equipped with power windows or door locks, remove the switches by removing the screws for the power window switch and the other switch connectors on the back side of the door trim finish panel. (3)Remove the screws from the armrest area of the door panel. (4)Remove the inner door handle. (5)Remove the screw (if equipped) at the lower rear of the door panel. (6) Lift the panel at least 1-1/2 inches to disengage it from the slots along the bottom of the door, then remove it. (7) If necessary, carefully peel the watershield from the door. Be careful not to tear it. (8) Installation is the reverse of the removal steps. - Mazda Pickups Repair manual

A blown head gasket on a 94 Ford Crown Vic is fixed by removing the cylinder head, cleaning the gasket surface, and installing a new gasket. The head gasket is extremely important as it prevents oil and water from mixing and contains the vehicle's combustion.

You probably shouldn't even think of doing this job. The heater core is located under the dash on the passenger's side. It is in the same case as the A/C Evaporator core. To remove this unit requires dropping of the steering column and COMPLETELY disassembling the entire dash right down to the firewall. This includes disconnecting all electrical connections, vaccuum lines, antenna connection, etc. I have done this job to replace the A/C evaporator core and would not recommend it unless you have a lot of patience, are very mechanically inclined and make all kinds of notes so you can reverse the procedure to put it all back together. My buddies all thought I was nuts to even attempt this job and they were probably right. even though the job turned out successful and saved me quite a bit of money. There is an added danger if you have a passenger side air bag. GOOD LUCK

Additional Information: I agree with the above answer. I have received quotes from reputable places to do this work that run close to $1400.00 most of which is labor. Since you're talking about a 13-14 yr old vehicle you might want to wait til summer (assuming that your AC works) and trade up to something else.

Remove the door and window handles. You may need a special tool from the parts store. Then take out all of the screws you can find then remove the retainers on the sides and bottom of the door panel again with a aspecial tool available at the parts store.When all is loose, pull out on the bottom of the panel and press in at the top to disengage the top from the door.

It is located on the block, passenger side near the firewall. It's right above the oil filter.

May want to check your dimmer switch, too - it could just be in the off position. You could have a shorted relay if it only happens when you turn your headlights on. From the description you gave, it sounds as if the instrument cluster has come unplugged. You may be able to reach up behind the cluster and plug it back in, but usually the cluster has to be removed to access the plug.

If you look on eBay you will find people selling information on how to find the master unlock code for these keypads. They say in their ads that the dealer will charge you big bucks to get the master code. Don't buy it! I cannot guarantee that this will help everyone, but almost every car produced by Ford/Mercury with these keypads comes with a sticker on the trunk hinge with the code printed on it. Just use this code, or if you like, follow the instructions in your owners manual to change the code to one you can more easily remember. Of course if your sticker fell off, then you need the dealer. If you have a pickup truck or something without a trunk, I'm sure the dealer will be happy to tell you where the sticker is on your vehicle. Now don't you think the guys selling this info on eBay should get a real job?

Push headlight retaining housing retaining clips (rectangular metal tabs located above radiator wall and to outside and rear or headlight)rearward, then upward to release headlight assembly. Pull headight assembly forward from body. Unscrew bulb retaining ring. Remove bulb from headlight housing. Remove bulb from socket wiring by pulling straight out. Insert new bulb into socket wiring (use paper towel to avoid touching bulb). Reinstall by reversing removal instructions.

you also may have to loosen the air filter assembly and remove the air intake flange (rubber part) to gain full access to the screw holding the coolant tank.

Rewmove the door and window handles, then all of the screws you can find. Then with a special tool, remove the retainers on the sides and bottom of the panel. When all is loose, pull out on the bottom and push in on the top and lift the panel up to disengage from the door.

you first locate the fuse for the fuel pump. you start the vehicle and then you remove the fuse and let the car quit. you have now relieved the fuel pressure. As well remove the gas cap.

You put the truck on ramps and pull thre transmission pan off. And then you will see the filter in there. Very easy to install once you have the pan off. I have done many of them I learned from experince.

Your heater core has a leak in it requiring replacement of the heater core. It will continuously leak as it is part of the cooling system for the engine, and is under pressure. Above is true if it is antifreeze and not water. Don't rule out a plugged drain hole in the wiper transmission area or water leak from the body.

I'm not 100% sure, but try disconnecting both battery cables for 20 min. I know for sure that this works on older cars (I have done this on 1991 and 1993 Fords, etc...) hopefully it works for the new-gen 96+ computers.
